  I also have adobe first 2014 CC and after effects CC 2014

  on versions of 2014 I can open a clip as a composition of sequels and it will work simultaneously in both programs

  However, I stopped using the 2014 version when I had a problem with flickering on render (another thread)

  IM happy with the other version (No-2014), but I don't seem to have the same option to replace the clip with a comp consequences in this version

  Ann is right in saying that Replace with Clip is not the same as the dynamic link. This option is Replace with After Effects Composition...

  Since no cutting is selected in the Project Bin, the Replace with Clip option is not highlighted. Select any item in the project Panel to enable the option.

  Replace with After Effects Composition is available in first Pro CC at the bottom of this Menu, which is in your screenshot.

  Hi I am using pro CS4 first.

  I created a sequence of camera multi 2 cameras, on a separate strain. When I'm going to replace the images of timeline with an effect after composition, after effects starts, but what I get is the film in after effects is the exact duration camera.

  I don't think it's at all possible. It may be a limitation on multicam works. Because it does not really separating clips, there is no way for AE determine who is actually used currently. I guess, you would insert the relevant extract as a separate sequence to get this working...

  I am trying to move a clip in Premiere Pro to after sets by using Dynamic Link 'Replace with After Effects composition', when I do so it begins to After Effects and creates a new composition but does not move no matter what media Premiere Pro to After Effects at all.   Most of the time that this happens when versions of Premiere Pro and After Effects corresponding bad (works of dynamic link between the same two versions of applications). Make sure that Premiere Pro and After Effects have the same versions, for example, first Pro CC 2014.2 (8.2) and after effects CC 2014.2 (13.2)

• PP CS6 AE CC 2014 (replace with After Effects Composition)?

  Hey guys, been a user of CS6 for a little while now and do not require the full subscription of CC but really like working with AE. So I subscribed for membership of the single App CC AE 2014. I launch PP CS6 chop a few clips and send them to AE via replace after effects composition, and in turn, this dialog box appears saying 'the importer reported a generic error' and them's the brakes. I uninstalled AE CS6 because when to replace a clip with an AE Comp AE CS6 launches. These two programs are not talking to each other? As paralyzed.

  Maybe that's true and the cause of the problem with the dynamic binding, but this has nothing to do with the fact that AE is malfunctioning with the media when they are imported via media browser.  That has no relationship with Premiere Pro either.

• Is there a way to extend the layer of text in after effects 2015 beyond two paragraphs (or about 500 characters)?

  I work with a long scroll of text after effects CC 2015.  I'm creating an introduction of 'Star Wars' style based on a sample of YouTube project and I downloaded the file that the author of the project was created and, like my creation of the project, in my copy of AE it displays only the first two paragraphs.  Here is a link to the project of perspective on what I'm looking for: https://youtu.be/_x0ZOYrLiFQ

  The text has three short paragraphs and a total of about 500 characters.  The first two paragraphs show without any problem.  Type anything beyond paragraph 2 does NOT extend the area of text.  The text seems to disappear and the bottom line to the bottom of the text box does not move.  Yes, there is space in my Viewer to see the text I type if the bottom of the text box was extended downwards.

  By dragging the bottom of the text box changes only the font size of the two paragraphs that are visible.

  Is there a way to extend the area of text beyond two paragraphs or 500 characters?  I'm guessing that there is a mystery being here that I'm missing.

  Thank you, Rick.  Here's what I found which deals with this:

  1. Yes, it seems that it there IS a length limit initial with text boxes created in native mode, and it seems to be about two paragraphs or 500 characters (imagine that).
  2. Good news: it is not an absolute limit.  If you use the text tool (instead of the selection tool, as I did), you can drag the bottom handle on the text block to whatever length you want.  Note that from my experience, it was somewhat difficult to grasp it 'so' to be able to extend it.  However, with a few attempts, I was able to do.
  3. Imported text, as you do, seems to be immune to the original deadline, so it is also a workaround.

  I had not had before this project, a text box to the length I had, so I had never known/had to deal with it before now.

  Hope this helps other people who can hit the same rock to have more text to display their original text box will allow.

  After Effects uses the GPU for very little.

  Your GPU will be used for all OpenGL GPU functions. It just will not be used for CUDA unique feature: the outdated plotted in 3D rendering engine Department.

  Titles of the look fine to me.

  However, your AE comp is HDV (which means interlaced, UFF) and your sequence is progressive.  Ideally, they should match as well between them and your media.

  I get the message "the importer reported a generic error.  I tried it on clips without effects and normal rate 23.98, and it still does not work.  I installed CC cloud and it's a brand new IMac, so I am at a loss as to why it does not work.    For any help or suggestion would be greatly appreciated!  Thank you very much

  Don't use tracing with AE CC 2014.  It doesn't help.  It is preferable to use C4D Lite, which now comes with AE and is much better... and it does more.

  Please file a feature request. We do not want to enable this feature in the future, but it requires a significant amount of work.

  With the help of Creative Cloud 2015 apps exclusively on a 64-bit win 8.1 Pro Gigabyte MB 8 core AMD pcu with 16 GB of ram and nVidia GeForce 8800 GTX graphics card. I deleted all the cache and restarted.

  Created a simple Rough Cut in prelude routinely using H.264 in mp4 video and still photos from format of (via Media Encoder) components ingested in prelude ~

  Rough Cut, composed of a sequence of 1 always followed by 4 x 3 second mp4 followed by another still followed by 4 more 3 second MP4, total length of 30 seconds.

  Together, then the default prelude "Cross dissolve" transition between each item in the first edit.

  Successfully sent this first edit in Premiere Pro using the menu option integrated prelude - send to first.

  Works like a charm in Premiere Pro, including cross-fade transitions.

  HOWEVER, now, in Premiere Pro, have not been able to use then 'Replace with After Effects' option under ' Dynamic Link ~ option is grayed out, regardless of how I select the element/sequence to replace. "

  The only way I have found to use all the options 'Replace with After Effects' is the one that appears when you right-click on a sequence in the timeline window, but when open in After Effects, crossfade effect has disappeared; Only the elements of the scene still show when parsing through the sequence in the timeline.

  First transitions don't come in After Effects. They never have. Your workflow is not compatible with dynamic link. You should use AE to create shots and then change these shots in Premiere Pro. Trying to bring in a sequence which was finalized with effects and transitions is a losing proposition and not recommended.

  You have a plan of photography which includes Photoshop and Lightroom. Replacement of lightroom with AE CC is not possible with the current subscription. You can go for creative cloud all apps which includes any software or subscription only app for Photoshop and AE.
