Replace the MLB MacBook Pro. End 2012 model
Sitting quietly: my MacBook Pro died in front of me. Ouch.
Has paid a visit to my local Apple store. It seems that it was a defective MLB. Dear - a £500 repair bill!
.... I decided against him... a new was perhaps in order. But I can't afford it.
Came home, did my research and found this:

So back to my local Apple store. Five days later, fixed. Free of charge!

Replacing the battery MacBook Pro Mid 2010
Hi all;
I bought a MacBook 2010 mid Pro 13 "(2nd hand). The camera is great and has been well supported. Only problem is the battery - it runs out and cool in an hour or two. However, he begins by saying there about 04:30 hrs.
Now! I would replace said battery. That I'm comfortable to do it myself. My only question is what battery? I wouldn't trust anything on eBay. Amazon have a good range but what brand? Recommendations or pointers, even to other renowned providers, will be greatly appreciated.

I live in South Africa and have one of the retina MacBook Pro 15 "(mid - 2012). A message appeared recently advising "Condition: replace now." We approached Apple in Cape Town (South Africa) providers and received two different answers on what needs to be repaired and what would be the cost. First of all, we were told that battery and top case had to be replaced at a cost of 5268.00 South African Rand. When you take the computer repair, told that the keyboard was also being replaced with the battery and the top box, and that the price had esculated to South African Rand 12600.00 (for the part or parts only).
Could we inform you on what needs to be repaired/replaced in such a circumstance? And the planned price range should be for repairs/parts.

MacBook Pro (mid-2012) freezes when the lid closes
My Macbook Pro (mid-2012) crashes whenever I close the lid. He wakes up not coming back. When I charge the laptop at 100%, it will stop at 0% inside and hour or two any apps I run. It also runs VERY hot. Here is the information of EtreCheck.

Why the sound does not work in Windows 10 with BootCamp installed on MacBook Pro mid 2012
So, I recently had a mistake huge hard drive, then I formatted the drive and installed Windows 10 I downloaded the BootCamp 5.1.5621 software (which is the version for this computer) and my audio didn't work. I've used Windows 8.1 in the past without Activation, but that was a few months ago. I've deleted it 2 days after I put it on the computer, but all drivers well worked out there. Although I plug in a USB headset and audio installed and worked fine! Help, please! I even reinstalled BootCamp!
I have the same Macbook Pro 2012 with boot camp and dual boot Windows-10 and Sierra.
Everything works fine. I think you have the wrong boot camp files.
I think that you need version 6. Reconnect to OS X and run the boot camp assistant and try to download new files from boot camp.

I own a Macbook pro mid 2012. Now I want to increase the RAM of 4 GB to 8 GB, please suggest if this update will help me to improve my performance to macbook.
It will help in cases where the applications require more than 4 GB of RAM. Otherwise, there will be no noticeable difference. If you really want to increase the speed, an SSD is the best option. They cost about 3 x's + more than a traditional HDD of same capacity...

I have a MacBook Pro (mid-2012) with the audio jack single. Why not recognize it when I plug a microphone inside?
I use a splitter cable, and have verified meter that it is properly connected. Also the microphone that I try to use the works when connected to a separate Recorder device, so I know who works very well.
The audio output on a 2012 port does not support the audio input. You will need to use the USB ports for audio input. This will require an appropriate hardware and software.

All of a sudden c. slow Macbook Pro mid 2012

A few days ago, my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid 2012) began to slow all of a sudden, often due to frequent beachballing of the cursor. I've had it three years now, and he never ran so slow. So it seems that you need to develop your ram on this model because your running a lot of things at once, or the system is spent as you have used. Its pretty easy to install new ram on your template as well.
Your computer can be upgraded to 16 GB of ram on this model. There are several kits out there to buy for this as well with. Let me know if you need help.

I am on a MacBook Pro mid 2012, Yeosmite 10.10.5, I want to switch to Sierra and am nervous to do when I had a terrible experience upgrade to Yosemite, support with gratitude by Apple in charge. I have everything backed up on Time Machine. Are there steps of preparation I need to do before you download and upgrade to Sierra. Can you please advise me please?

With cable of HDD to SSD Macbook Pro mid-2012
I've recently upgraded to SSD (Samsung Evo 850) of the HARD drive on my Macbook pro mid-2012. However, the installation of the SSD has been very painful. I tried to use in recovery mode disk utility, several times but it fails to remove or mount the SSD drive. I thought it was the faulty SSD. Then I hung the SSDS via a USB port and proceeded to install OS X on it (using my HARD drive). The SSDS works very well with the USB key, so I put it in and hooked up with the flex cable that was previously used for my HARD drive. However, this does not work, the operating system sees that there is a reader hooked, sees the name, size and etc, but does not charge, gives me the sign of question mark folder, which means there is no hanging drive. So I think it's something with the HARD drive, SATA cable. But the cable works perfectly when used with the HARD disk. So I was wondering if the HARD drive cable that comes with Macbook Pro mid-2012 is compatible with the SSD. I watched several videos of people the SSD HARD drive upgrade, but they all seem to be using the same cable. Any ideas what could be the problem or if I need a different type of cable? Thank you.

Your MacBook is looking for initial start-up by car but can not find.
Power on the Mac and hold down the 'option' at the same time, and then manually select to boot from the drive of choice.
Also, try this first:
I have a MBP mid-2012 13 inches and I did an upgrade SSD with a Samsung Evo 850-series (500 GB.). However, I had no problem.
I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the original disc for the SSD via a USB-to-Sata adapter.
My first start was slow because I don't have the SMC / PRAM reset my MBP was looking for startup disk.
However after my MBP starts very quickly. I got no problem with Samsung Evo SSD. They work very well with Macs.
Don't forget to activate the "pad" your non - owc SSD support.
Open "terminal app" and enter the command 'sudo trimforce activate' select YES, YES... and restart after completing

MacBook Pro(MID-2012):Issues after Upgrading to El Capitan
I use Macbook Pro mid-2012 version. After upgrading to El Capitan, I am facing a lot of questions.
(1) the DMG files does not open. said hdiutil attach has busy resource failed.
(2) my Macbook Pro will not stop completely.
(3) my systems updates install completely. They hit each other between installation (had to force quit)

Any suggestions?

Problems with the new Macbook pro 15' maxed out
Here's a quick post about my experience so far with the new macbook pro. I just got a brand new fully maxed out in spec macbook pro 15 inch 1 to SSD 16 GB RAM AMD R9 370 m GPU (set to automatic switching is not always) and a 2.8 to 4 GHz i7. I turned on and set it up which was nice and took 2 minutes. Then experience decreased a little when I saw an EST 05:36 hours of battery life remaining to 94%. So I loaded 100% and it is still 60% of battery life announced and no program running that I literally just signed a brand new machine.
Then I tried to use the migration wizard to import a backup of my iMac 5 k so I can do everything on this clone for my laptop. After having successfully connected (he told me if my password for time machine was incorrect or not) it froze and did nothing, continue did nothing.
Then place had to call support, was a guy on the phone in 30 seconds and I unplug and restart the machine time, always that same question so I transferred to a guy with "more training". The new guy I could say knew a little more and knew that I knew how to set my password or if I walked in their properly for a bit but they all have been set for the same password just for this. I preceded to restore fully the machine into thinking that my account setup is causing trouble with the migration assistant, and it turns out that the closure of that laptop it can only continue to 'download additional components', while that connected for 30 minutes so all last night was wasted, and now I guess he's got 5 left 12 hours to download original 'things '. Keep in mind that I can download 5 GB in one hour... After he wake up this morning and ending up where I left it last night :/ he says 84 hours go, now 72 and 51 and it is not updated even once in seconds, it took 20 minutes to 84 minutes to 51, it's literally a day 2 reset extravagance or what? Just to download it I can only imagine the actual plant until I can install my programs.
The cost of the laptop was about $3600 but paid ~ $2900 after headphones were included and $250 off for delivery to students and other issues on the agenda of the process itself that is not my complaint, what happens, but sitting with a new camera and support useless just to ask me if I can use actually tomorrow at this price are unacceptable.
I would like to continue using it for a while.
