  I'm trying to find a replacement battery for Satellite Pro A10, PA3284U-1BRS, 10.8 v original battery, 3600 MAH. A couple of merchants said that it is no longer available and has been replaced by PA3285U-1BRS, the amperage is a little higher at 4400 MAH, but declared voltage is now 11.1 VOLTS. Is this normal, or are they trying to just me to pawn off the coast with something that is really not compatible with the specifications of the original part. I can't find the part for the moment available on the Toshiba site, seems to have been the only way to get a true replacement who would be sure to adapt.   Can anyone advise where the the best/least expensive place is to get a replacement battery for my satellite pro A60, Ive. Ive left permanently plugged causing the batteries to be tired of apparentrly. If I turn the machine on at full load and nothing doing, the battery will expire in 15 minutes. Replacing the battery is cited as A £99, VAT in addition to toshiba - y at - it somewhere cheaper or better size. ?

  You didn t write about you model exactly but I think that the battery pack (Li-ion, 12 cells, 6450mAh) with the PA3382U-1BRS part number must be compatible. But check before you buy!

  You can upgrade the laptop with an SSD. You need a disc SSD SATA 2.5 as the A120 supports the SATA controller.
  Not quite sure about the SSD size but I guess a 250 GB should be recognized correctly.

My hard drive died, I just buy a new one and I would like to install the operating system (xp) and all the necessary driver. Until a few months ago, I was able to download all the drivers, now my laptop seems not to exist more... Am I wrong? Could someone provide me with all the drivers? I really need them (expatriate and looking for new job...).

  LAN installation is very easy.
  First of all, you need the correct LAN driver.
  In order to download the LAN driver please visit the Toshiba driver page and choose your model of laptop.

  Once the LAN driver has been downloaded, you will need to decompress.
  Then you will need to access the Device Manager, choose the controller Ethernet (network cards) and must point to the place where the LAN driver was decompressed.

  Then finish the installation procedure.

  By the way; all laptops with an IrDA port use a common Microsoft Windows driver to run the IrDA port.

  I got my sisters laptop (Satellite PRO A120 model PSAC1E) and because it was full of girly garbage I ve put the xp pro disc to and start again.
  Now, the problem is that there are a lot of exclamation points in my device manager. I guess the disc that came with the laptop would have sorted it, but it disappeared.
  Rather than going through downloads driver one at a time and hoping that I get what I want (some seem not to be there anyway), is there a place I can download the boot disk arrangement... the Device Manager indicates that these don t have drivers...

  network controller
  USB controller
  unknown device
  video controller
  video controller (vga compatible)

  I'm on another pc at the moment and can download on a disc, and then put it in the laptop.
  Any help would be greatly received

  You can order a new disc of recovery at an authorized service provider if have lost the recovery disk that came with the noteboook.
  Just ask the registered maintainer the closest that you can find on the Toshiba site and talk with them. I think that people will try to help you. ;)

  Of course, you can install Windows XP on the laptop without recovery disk Toshiba, but it takes more time than the recovery disk. You need to download and install each driver and tool that you can find on the Toshiba site.

  I found the info that for your laptop model there are two types of battery only:
  PA3356U-3BAS
  PA3356U-3BRS

  So if you use Google and put these numbers, you should be able to find an online store where you can buy these compatible batteries.
  By the way: link you posted is OK and I don't see the reason why you shouldn't order of it. It is listed as compatible.

  To extend the life, you need battery with more cells and ability, but it is unfortunately not available for your laptop model.
