replacement for the X61s fan question

I bought a new heatsink (FRU 42 x 3804) for my x 61 on ebay. It seems the same, has the same number FRU, but the plug has 3 holes instead of 4. In two fans there are same three cables up to the plug, so it shouldn't matter.

The problem is that I can plug the 3-hole on plug 4 pins in two ways. When I unplugged the Connector cables slipped and now I don't know what PIN must be left free.

Here's what it looks like:

And with the old card:

Anyone know if I have to plug like this (the cable red right ankle, left axis), or the orange cable should go on the left pin?

Hello. In your first picture, the PIN on the left into the connector on the motherboard must have no connection. In other words, the CAP goes on the right side.

    Hello

    Question title:

Is a Wireless Optical Mouse 5000 a plug-in replacement for the supplied mouse as part an integral of the Wireless optical Desktop Pro?

I have spoecifically need to know if it has exactly the same features of the IntelliPoint and know if it will work with the transmitter/receiver provided with the Optical Desktop Pro wireless.  I know that the OM 5000 is provided with its own transmitter/receiver, but I don't want to have more than one on my desk.

    Thank you

    Boo

    Hope this information is useful.

Well it is obviously not useful to say that you do not know!

Let me know if it worked.

For someone else who has a problem with the IntelliMouse provided as part of the Wireless Optical Desktop Pro (which is a Wireless Intellimouse Ex plorer 2.0 is told by the way), then they may be interested to know that the Wireless Optical Mouse 5000 works very well with the dongle WODP although the pointer speed necessary to decline slightly with one I had.

  • Replacement for the J6400

We currently have a HP OfficeJet J6400 all-in - One Printer.  It works very well and we are happy with it.  However, our platforms are changing.  We have two iPads, iPhones and iPods.  We need to migrate a printer of Air in order to make best use of our technology.  It's a pain to have to send something to another platform (laptop computer) and print it.

My question is, which HP with Air Print would be a good replacement for the J6400.  We always want all the features of an all-in-One.

    Thank you

    Hello jghannah

To get a list of AirPrint printers check the right side of the this page.

Personally, I think that's the Officejet 6500 has more or the Officejet Pro 8600 would be perfect for your upgrade. They share a similar design to that of the 6400 Officejet series. They get all Airprint. For a good comparison between them, see the following link: Officejets with Airprint comparison

I recently built new servers, intending using open directory.

The equipment I use are the new mac mini servers, with two 1 TB drives and 16 GB of memory.

Historically I have used Workgroup Manager for direct starting, deployment of the printer files, user groups and others.

Is there a replacement for the Working Group Manager who no longer works with el capitan (10.11.3)?

The replacement is the Manager of service profile. See the built-in help of server for instructions begin. This is beta-quality software, at best.

  • Question of replacement for the hard drive MacBook Pro Late 2008

    Hello

My MBP HD headed to the exit so I'll take the plunge and get a replacement SSD to install it.  Being not too tech savvie I'm trying to cover all the bases before starting the replacement so I think I'm OK to get to the old and a new one outside.

I read that a clean install of Mac OS X is recommended.  The plan is to install the new SSD and connect the old HD the MBP for a speaker for the migration of files once the SSD has been formatted and installed operating system.  One of my questions is what OS can / should I install in the first place on the new SSD.  I have the Leopard installation disc that came with the MBP, I also have a Snow Leopard install disc I bought (this is the version 10.6.3).  Start with the Snow Leopard disc or do I have to install Leopard first?  I would get the new OS SSD up to version I'm currently on (10.7.5).

My other question is around RAM.  As part of the upgrade, I plan to replace and max of RAM, I've seen is now 8 GB between the two slots.  I read what the maximum capacity to 8 as part of an update of the firmware.  So the question is: should I do all updates of OS before installing the RAM?  The MBP would difficult treat 8GB if the firmware update is not installed through the different software updates that will be needed once the OS is installed on the SSD?

    Advice/suggestions appreciated.

    See you soon

    J

Replace the RAM can be done at any time. If you have already downloaded the firmware required, it has already updated your material and will not be lost when you replace the hard drive. However, according to Apple, your computer can manage only a 4 GB. I could be missing something...

See here: MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2008) - technical data sheet

As far as your OS issue, the best thing to do is get the updated software to match the information that you are migrating back (to make sure no problem with migration). The best way to do it, is to download recovery disk wizard and install it on an extra USB key. This allows you to install Lion without having to install Leopard or Snow Leopard first. This will also use disk utility to format the new SSD correctly.

  • Question about replacement for the P100 broadcast Pro motherboard

I bought a satellite Pro P100 August 1, 2007 in the United Kingdom.
Thursday, August 21, went to the turning on and nothing.
I'm in Malta and took the laptop for the dealer to be informed the next day motherboad was interrupted and must be replaced.
The laptop is only 3 weeks old, how many others have found the motherboard to go so fast?
Should I trust this laptop or can I request a replacement?
If the motherboard is replaced, the operating system must be reinstalled and all of the following software?
We are in the business of yacht charter and need Windows XP Professional installed to be compatible with our navigation and weather software.
    Any comments welcome.
    Sue Clarke

If the machine is only 3 weeks and then bring/send it to the next service partner available because you still have a warranty on this machine. And why it s going down so fast - we will be able to answer that. The machine you have is very reliable, so maybe just a "Sunday" - machine if you know what I mean.
In this case, you have a guarantee, and you should use it and require replacement.

After the replacement of Don t you need to reinstall anything since only a part is exchanged and nothing significant on your system will be changed.

    Welcome and good luck

Of course, it's just a hypothesis because I've never tried this replacement of the GPU.
But according to a different suggestion to those who have tried to replace the laptop s GPU, especially its a compatibility issue between the GPU and the motherboard/BIOS card.

This is why problems GPU, it s not worth to replace only the GPU because the costs are huge.

  • Could I get a free replacement for the phone that was diagnosed with the liquid damage clause?

    Hello

    It's Vincent of the India.

My iPhone 5 exploded randomly while I was listening to music, about 2 weeks back. Don't turn on since.

The inspection service center claimed to have found traces of liquids on "residents" of the device and thus were classified in accordance with the clause of liquid. I was asked to pay more than the price of the phone for placement.

I understand that there is no free replacement phone or the motherboard, my question is how safe are that it is not a fault of Interior?

The phone is 4 months warranty, purchased online. No physical damage. I have no reason to lie when I say that I don't 'accidentally' drop it in the water. Why can't they consider a real case? In addition, what might have caused the problem?

Some experts of the forum online YouTube wrote this saying, "close the seat or the higher in the order." He has not just you being stuck with a defective product. Exactly how to do this, if I could?

Everything what I'm trying to understand is why should it unlucky customers such as I have pay the price for something that I'm sure that's not a fault on my side? Should not be a system in place for situations like this?

  • HP Pavilion dv7 for the radiator/fan

I'm trying to figure out how to disassemble my hp Pavilion DV7, but I cannot find anywhere how to do for my particular model. The precise model is

    HP Pavilion dv7-7121nr

    Hello

I had this procedure for your model for the replacement set of heat sink of the:

    Fan/heat sink assembly removal

CAUTION: Follow all precautions during the removal and replacement of components:

    http://h20574.www2.HP.com/Media/75D38F6E-BCDA-4E84-961B-F3BF5454EA2B/en/yea_fru_popup_precautions-en.htm

Before you begin: remove the battery, the door, the optical drive, hard drives, LAN module wireless, RTC battery, keyboard, cover and system board.

Disconnect the fan cable from the system board.
Loosen the four Phillips screws P1 captive who set the heatsink to the motherboard in the order in which they are labeled.
Because it is a map of the graphic system, loosen the three Phillips P1 additional captive screws that attach the heatsink to the motherboard in the order in which they are labeled.

NOTE: Graphics system UMA cards do not contain these extra P1 Phillips three captive screws.

Lift the heatsink off the system board.

NOTE: Due to the adhesive nature of the thermal equipment located between the processor and the heat sink, closed effort may be needed to remove the heat sink.

    Fan/heat sink set replacement

NOTE: Before replacing the heat sink, the thermal material should be replaced. The thermal material must be replaced each time the heat sink is removed.

Carefully remove the old thermal grease from the heat sink, the processor and discrete graphics models, the graphics processor with an alcohol swab.
The thermal paste applicator allows to apply a sufficient amount of thermal grease to the center of the processor and discrete graphics models for the GPU.

Align the heatsink on the processor and the screw holes.

Tighten the four screws P1 captive who set the heatsink to the motherboard in the order in which they are labeled.
Because it is a map of the graphic system, tighten the three Phillips P1 additional captive screws that attach the heatsink to the motherboard in the order in which they are labeled.

NOTE: Graphics system UMA cards do not contain these extra P1 Phillips three captive screws.

Connect the fan cable to the system board.

  • Upgrade for the WLC code questions

We 6.0.132 (lastest) WCS and our controllers are on 4.2.130, we now to upgrade to deal with sometimes, but don't want to capwap yet.

Question 1: what is the last exit LWAPP code?

Question2:Whats the differences between 4.2.207 (support page for cisco said it's the latest version), but it has same releases with ie 6.0 how it works it is very confusing workout a way to upgrade to higher versions

    See you soon

    Hi Tyrone,

I'm not an expert on the management of versions, but here are some basic in response details

    at your request

4.2.207 is the last version on the Train of 4.2 and is without doubt an excellent choice

If you are avoiding CAPWAP for now. You will see in the link below which

There are several 'simultaneous' for the WLC Trains (and most of the Cisco product). People

were not big fans of the first Trains 5.x (quite buggy) and was introduced to CAPWAP

in 5.2 and the attacker thus is why 4.2.207 seems to be a good choice for you

In the later version or 5.2 controller software version, Cisco lightweight access points use the IETF control and commissioning of Access Points (CAPWAP) standard protocol to communicate between the controller wireless and other points of light access on the network. Versions software controller before 5.2 use the Lightweight of Point access (LWAPP) Protocol to these communications.

CAPWAP, which is based on LWAPP, is a standard and interoperable protocol that allows a controller manage a collection of wireless access points. CAPWAP is implemented in version 5.2 software controller for these reasons:

    *

To provide a path for upgrade of Cisco products that use LWAPP generation Cisco products that use CAPWAP
    *

To manage RFID readers and similar devices
    *

To allow controllers to interoperate with third party access points in the future

LWAPP compatible access points can discover and join a CAPWAP controller, and conversion to a controller of CAPWAP is transparent. For example, the process of discovery of controller and firmware download process when using CAPWAP are the same as when you are using LWAPP. The only exception is for layer 2 deployments, which are not supported by CAPWAP.

You can deploy CAPWAP and LWAPP controllers on the same network. The CAPWAP compatible software allows access points join to be a controller running CAPWAP-LWAPP. The only exception is the Access Point Cisco Aironet 1140 series, which takes in charge only CAPWAP and joined so only controllers that run CAPWAP. For example, 1130 series access point can reach a controller running CAPWAP or LWAPP considering that access of series 1140 point can join only a controller running CAPWAP.
