Some of my cousins named David is 12 years younger than me, he's 21, but he has an iPhone 5 and I saw him today and he wanted to replace his battery with screws. I have replaced on some phones, but it void warranty? It uses iOS 8.1.2.

  • iPhone battery percentage 6 unreliable

Hi all! I use an iPhone 6 with the updated iOS (10.0.1 for now). Since iOS 9.3.4, I noticed a lack of reliability of the battery of my iPhone.

During normal use, the percentage jumps down about 10-15%. If at this time that I plug the battery pops up by about the same percentage. In other cases, the iPhone still for a long period of time even with the battery that may not be true, or it shuts down even if it is not 1%.

I went to the Genius Bar and the genie made a diagnosis called 'mobile Inspector' who has not revealed something strange. The employee told me to calibrate my battery, follow these steps:

    (1) restore settings (no);

    (2) use the iPhone until it stops;

    (3) leave here 2 hours without connection;

    4) recharge 100% free to use it and leave it there for 2 hours more.

    (5) repeat step 2-4 once.

I did what she suggests, adding a force restart after point 4.

The problem is still there. Day before yesterday, the percentage rose from 85% to 90% (without connection) and yesterday he jumped from 40% to 30% and then stayed at 3% for 1 hour.

I booked a call of support for tonight see what I can do. The iPhone is still covered by the warranty of 2 years Italian.

I encountered this problem a few months ago. I went to a Genius bar and my iPhone has been replaced. I don't know if genius made the same tool of diagnosis or a closer, but he acknowledged that the problem was due to hardware, perhaps due to the battery connector. They do not have to replace the battery, but gave me a refurbished iPhone.

Someone at - he seen this problem and found a solution?

    Thank you

Hello, first try the following general steps. They could help.

  • sleep 5 sec mode iPhone battery drain

    Hey guys,.

Thus, as stupid as it sounds, I bought an iPhone 5 s water damaged. I knew what I was getting into until I bought the phone.

I learned that the battery was not to keep a charge so I had to replace the battery. However, this has not resolved the issue.

The battery works now twice longer in case of actual use, now I had replaced it but in standby mode, it runs at a fast pace. I disabled all the parameters that I thought that it would cause, but it's always the same.

My question is this; There must be a hardware failure, but I'm not sure what it would be, guys do you have ideas? Thank you!

    Brett

Unfortunately, what about liquid damage is much too open ended to provide a precise answer to your question. It could literally be anything!

  • iPhone battery 6 help please!

Currently, I own an iPhone 6 and have been since the day wherever he went. I always did my best leave my battery up to about 10 to 20%, then then plug to recharge. I thought it was the best way to charge my phone, rather than plug regularly throughout the day.

Recently, my phones battery was extremely "needy." Now I charge my phone about four times a day. He'll jump from 80% to 20% and fall to one percent every minute until it died completely. If I plug in before he dies, it's about 4% it will jump up to 60%. I don't know why my phone did that, but I'd like to find a way to fix it without having to replace the battery.

I took all the precautions I've seen as restoring to factory settings, but after I do that I use backup, so my phone has all the same stuff on it to before restoring the factory settings. I am a heavy user of snapchat and I don't know if that helps the issue. I have a phone of 64 GB with only 3 GB of memory left, so maybe it's a collaborator as well. My software is up to date.

I don't know what to put it would help find a solution, but I hope someone sees this and can help out me.

    Thank you.

It's very good that you mentioned this, that your iPhone needs a minimum of 10% of its available storage free space (6.4 GB in your case).  You have less than half the minimum required free space.

Settings > general > storage & use iCloud > manage storage (under storage) will list consumers of main storage for you.

  • iPhone battery 6 suddenly fast draining

I've had my iPhone since the end of October 2015 6. Everything was great, until recently. Suddenly, my battery MUCH faster than usual. I never let the percentage down below 50% and I don't have a lot of apps, the brightness is always to halfway and on DND from one day to the next. I have AppleCare, but they would replace the battery or should I buy a new phone through the applecare? Thank you.

Have you tried to restart the phone? Hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until the phone turns off without taking account of the slide to power off of the message. Then turn on again.

  • 5s iPhone battery drain problem

Hello guys, I'm new to the forum and I am looking for a possible answer to my problem:

The problem started a few weeks back, maybe 2 months. I have recharge my phone one day and it was fine until that later in the day, my battery went down so quick unbelievabl, I thought maybe it's just a temporary problem, so I decided to hard reboot my phone, home and button on/standby, of course. I turned it on and the battery percentage was different, and every time that I turned it works again the battery percentage would be different, strange. So I decided to replace the battery (since the phone was bought on eBay, but it was fine until December of may last year). So I replaced the battery but the same thing was going on, and while this has happened my charging port began to act up, although it has not been damaged at all, he would not accept the same lightning ungenuine apple cable. I got 2 of the same ones and one of them could work and the other not. I decided to change the port of loading, which resulted in not accepting any Apple ungenuine cable which forced me to buy an original, and it works very well (but for my friends iPhone 6 the ungenuine work well). In any case to the problem, I replaced the battery still now to a new Apple true battery which the guy assured me was genuine, it was substitute. If the problem persists, last night I left my phone at 70 percent to see if it lasts, and no, there not good that it should be at least 30/40%, yet I remember if I left my phone in the as 90% I could wake up and see it would still look like 75/80%. I tried to restore through iTunes but I have always used my backup to restore what could be the problem, my keychain is off. I have not tried restoring the fees without restore back upward, I would rather ask here because someone may know the answer to that.

PS My phone gets very hot when I charge it and when the 3G, sometimes very hot.

    Thanks in advance.

Phew, eBay phones are difficult because they have this unknown history.  You can have more than one thing going on, so let's try to clear up this problem a little bit and get you some tips.

1 - the battery.  Replacement batteries that do not exist outside of Apple have a very variable quality.  I would be very suspicious of a battery that was sold by someone who claims that he was "authentic Apple" because it is obviously not possible.  People who are not further about this tend to be a bit scammy.

2 - gas gauge problem.   Turn off the phone and see a percentage point of different battery to a gas indicator problem.  This has two causes.  Bad battery and filter missing to the Board of Directors on the measurement of gas line.  Since you have experience gas gauge defect with several batteries (but of questionable quality) your problem may be the filter gas gauge.  This filter is usually damaged or 1 - technician damage (struck off the Board) or 2 - water damage.   Could be the case here.

3 - chip of Tristar problem.  Don't Fake charge, no charge, no usb detection and especially - distress recognizing different usb cables can point to a defect of the Tristar chip on the logic board.  This chip is very sensitive to the use of non-Apple charger.  Your statement "forced me to buy an original cable" would put a Tristar (also known under the name of U2 chip) problem at the top of my list of suspects for this phone.

    4. "old" water damage.  Heat = short in the phone. While a bad Tristar chip may cause the phone to run hot, it is also possible that injury inadequately treated water may be the cause of a partial short circuit in your phone.  A short stop the battery very quickly.

So what to do now?  Your phone has a complex presentation and my advice is that you really need to have seen by someone who is capable of dealing with issues of Board level on iPhones.  Call your local independent repair shops and talk to them.  Find one with good reviews, which will guarantee their work, and who will not charge you to look at this forum.   You need someone who is capable of repair at Council level - aka not the guys at the Mall.

    Good luck!

Amusement tax the processor and drain your battery. It is not unusual that battery drains much faster while playing games. How long your battery lasts without games?

  • 5 swelling iPhone battery, open the phone

My wifes iPhone 5 worked like new when we recognised that the coverage was raising no reason. After searching a bit online, we found the battery is swollen and could possibly explode one day. We still have older iPhomes, even the original 1st generation with no problems (other than the low capacity). I think that this is not normal, and Apple should replace the battery even the serial number is not in the meantime for the iPhone battery program 5. You know who to contact? We don't have an Apple store here, a few retailers.

Find that a call authorized service provider. If there is nothing, your company can provide the services in this case.

  • iPhone battery 5 vs 7

My iPhone 5 is almost unusable with 4 years of regular use. I heard the iPhone battery 7 isn't great, but how it rates compared to the iPhone 5?

Of the iPhone 5 - technical specifications:

    • Talk time: up to 8 hours on 3G
    • Standby time: up to 225 hours
    • Internet use: up to 8 hours on 3G, up to 8 hours the LTE, up to 10 hours on Wi - Fi
    • Video playback: up to 10 hours
    • Audio playback: up to 40 hours

    From http://www.apple.com/iphone-7/specs/:

    • (Wireless) of talk time: up to 14 hours on 3G
    • Standby time: up to 10 days
    • Internet use: up to 12 hours on 3G, up to 12 hours, LTE, up to 14 hours on Wi - Fi
    • Wireless video playback: up to 13 hours
    • Wireless audio playback: up to 40 hours

7 has much improved the battery life on the 5. Also your current phone battery has degraded over time, because it's natural for the batteries, so you will definitely see a significant improvement.

Your best bet is an accumulator.  I have one I got on Amazon by EC Tech.  It is a brick, but it will charge my iPhone and the iPad, if the current is cut off.  You just need to load the brick and keep it in an emergency.

  • iPhone battery draining fast

My iPhone of 6 battery go down 1% all ~ 15 seconds. After 67% it as abandoned and goes up to 20%. At first, I thought it was the beta, so I restored it to the last public update (10.0.2) I restored my iPhone 2 times now and my battery still drains like crazy. I don't think it's a battery problem because it turns off whenever it wants. I noticed something weird however. Whenever I try to reset soft, a deformed glitchy screen opens before he died. Whenever I do this it changes color (red, gray, green). Please help because it is impossible to use my iPhone for more than 3 hours.

    Hello mannycavs123,

Thank you to raise your iPhone battery here questions in Apple Support communities. I understand how it is important to have the power and portability. I'll be more than happy to offer some things for you to check.

The first thing we want to make sure that all of your data on your device is safe. You can have a backup, but please do a recent experience before you start troubleshooting. You can perform a backup in iCloud or iTunes using this article: the backup of your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Once you know that your data is safe, I recommend that you check two things that can help extend your battery life. Is first called Wi - Fi help. When you encounter low signal strength time when you are connected to a wireless network, this feature allows your device jumping to the cellular signal so that your data will not be interrupted. With the switching signal, you will use more data, and depending on your cellular signal, it can also use more autonomy. This Help article talks about WiFi help: Help on Wi - Fi. I am personally in a great wireless signal box almost everyday, so I have this setting disabled. It can help to increase the autonomy of the battery you want to do.

The second recommendation, I can offer is to disable any applications using cell phone that you should absolutely not. This Help article discusses this: on the cellular data settings and usage on your iPhone / iPad. For example, I do not personally that I've never used the compass. Disable this access to cell data. Because he needs to send and receive data to keep the data when you open it, this will use the cellular data more. A signal, or whatever it is using cellular data more cost more autonomy. The best part of this is, if I'm in an area without wireless and suddenly need my compass, I can go back to these settings and turn it back on. This is why I personally most of these applications disabled except things like phone, mail, Messages, cards, and everything I need to use on a daily basis, even if I go to a wireless network. This can also increase your battery life.

In addition, you can take a look at what applications use the most out of your battery and adjust its use accordingly.  Take a look at this link for more information:

On the use of the battery on your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch

Thanks again for checking out Apple Support communities and have a great rest of your day.

  • Mac Book Pro is not too hot.  It is time to replace the battery?  Can I replace the battery?

MacBookPro is not too hot.  It's time to change the battery?  Can I do it myself?

The Mac runs his fans in a feedback loop, based of the internal temperature measured.

If the temperature goes up and the fans are not speed up to compensate, you probably have a hardware problem.

If the Mac becomes too hot, it will make an uncontrolled emergency power off.

EDIT: Replacing the battery is a completely separable question not related to temperature. Is the Samsung phone batteries that catch fire, not Mac.
