Replacement motherboard and cannot off mode of manufacturing with ALT + F

I bought a new motherboard of Dell (OCT103) for the Dimension E521.

I received the card mother, screwed into the computer and everything works fine. But...

The motherboard has been delivered with the method of manufacturing activated. Now, I have the problem, that the rest in manufacturing systems, although I entered in the new issue of servicetag already many times. I started my computer several times, but there is no chance to start in normal mode. There is always a message at end of boot, that "the system works in manufacturing mode. "Press ALT F to operate in normal mode. By pressing ALT + F for now removes the servicetag in the BIOS again and all settings are reset. Is this normal way?

On the homepage of Dell, I found information, I have to boot into the BIOS setup and it press ALT + F in the main configuration to disable the mode of production. But when I press those buttons I got a beep, nothing more.

Please can you tell me how to disable this mode correctly and permanent.

Thanks for a response

Hello

I recently got a new machine (inspiron 660 s) from dell.

The start screen always displays "mode of production", even though I entered the serial number.

I tried a lot of keys to try to return to the normal mode, but not worked.

Finally, I pressed 'Load Defaults' in the Menu output then output parameter of the BIOS.

Everything became normal. A Dell Logo appears on startup. (Later, of course, I can change all the parameters :)

Hope this helps!

  • Replaced the bad motherboard and cannot restore from recovery disks

I replaced a card Pegatron M2N78 - mother in a Pavilion p6130y PC and I tried to restore to the recovery disks, but he says that the restore disks will not work on this system.  Really, I care is in accordance with the operating system (Vista), I don't want to pay for what I have already.  Research I've done shows that the old motherboard was known to be defective.  During the troubleshooting process, the recovery process was started, but then is broken when the card mother crapped out and didn't not recognize SATA devices.  When trying to start, he knew and then wouldn't recognize them, usually about 75/25% respectively.  Because of this, I can't just start it on the HARD drive and update the existing drivers and update the Vista license.  I have more money to buy only 7.

How can I get the installed operating system or perform a full recovery on this system?

    Hello:

The recovery disks only works on exact material they were made for.

Because you have installed a different motherboard, at microsoft a new motherboard = a new PC.

OEM licenses are licenses that computers come with HP (and any other manufacturer).

This means that they are good only for that specific PC and cannot be transferred to another PC or motherboard.

  • I need to replace my replacement motherboard and have the Creative Suite CS6

I am under Creative Suite CS6 and my PC has developed a sense of fault, I need to replace my motherboard (and probably the RAM). Case, CPU, graphics card and all hard drives will remain the same.

Creative Suite will simply work on the new series to the top or I have to deauthorise it on the old computer before I have to replace the motherbaord then it will allow once the repair is complete?

    Thanks for your help.

Just to be sure I would turn off before in the case where it does not register when the machine is back.  If it still usable so you just need to reactivate it.  If she fails to reactivate and works correctly, you can uninstall, use the Cleaner Tool CS and reinstall and don't face the customer to recover a lost activation.

If your Vista came pre-installed, so it's an OEM license - and replace the motherboard except in conditions of warranty is not allowed. Notice of MS, the card mother IS the computer
You will need to purchase a new FULL version commercial license and edition of Windows you want - from the motherboard is (probably) new, it must run Windows 7 with happiness.

In general, if only a single program has the problem, it is caused by a conflict between the program and the driver.  Generally it is the manufacturer of the program to resolve the conflict.  You can let them know that it stops, in case they don't already know.  There is workaround that you can try in the meantime.  It is not guaranteed to work, but I had a lot of success with it.  Give it a shot and let me know what happens.  The link below will lead you in the instructions.

  • Replaced motherboard and later unknown device

    Hi guys,.

Following a recent motherboard failure, I replaced the motherboard with the same model (ebay). I expected is not working (tattoo questions), but hey it worked very well! Finally almost fine. The material shows a unknown device driver and also the cpu fan runs at full speed all the time. Surf indicates that it is probably the same problem. What I have to do now is to identify the appropriate driver. The MSI site has an automatic editor via Active X, but it did not work properly. It is true that I have an old PC, but this fan noise gets on my nerves. If someone out there can help identify me the correct driver MSI for automatic control of the fan speed I would really appreciate it.

  • BlackBerry Passport stuck in mode alarm and cannot be disabled. but it's only the début gets much worse

I contacted support blackberry before about the problems with the alarm, especially that, unlike previous devices that the passport must be left switched on so that the alarm to work. which means that any owner Passport learned the hard way, if you set the alarm and power off, the alarm will be off not because the device must be on the alarm will go off.

However, bedside mode ends up being - I don't know - "corrupt"? by being left permanently. I've known many strange bugginess of the bedside mode. but nothing like that is.

-This morning came the cherry on top, the alarm could not be disabled.

normally in bedside mode when the alarm goes off, you just touch the screen and it stops the vibration and noise of the alarm and goes into the screen unlock mode so you can get your day.

but this time, he has not extinguished. It happens now for more than an hour. with a full battery (since it was loaded before calling IT a night), I estimated that the device of vibration inside will wear down or the battery will take a week or more to die.

the Passport is designed in contrast to other blackberry phones, we can't remove the battery for a hard reset. that would have solved this problem immediately (but not my concern for her)

without anything turning off the alarm, I tried a pass Hail Mary: turn the unit off.

Initially, it appeared that he was going to work; He had stopped the alarm sound and vibrant and has been turned off - but then partially through this judgment, the blackberry logo came on the screen and alarm and vibrating started.

It does not turn off, the battery cannot be removed and nothing while the aircraft was still on has been to turn off the alarm. What to do in a situation like this?

I think that after the flood of various technical flaws, I knew within eight months of owning, this severe alarm fault has probably ruined my passport, he simply refused to let me turn the alarm off and now it is blocked in alarm mode, halfway between being off. I can't tun this return, cannot turn off, it will simply and as a mobile with tourette's.

I really wish blackberry did not alarm system set up for turnthe peripheral turned off if you want the alarm must be activated, leaving constantly in bedside mode rather has an effect on it.

previous mobile blackberry I had always allow you to stop, and then in the morning it goes on automatically to the alarm-it was perfect. He laso allow you to get the mobile to have to reset every night. how much is it?

but now, given that I bought in England and returned to the Canada, I find myself now in a quandry: thousand dollar mobile is destroyed (well; it was £500 so it's a thousand Canadians), my insurance overly expensive unconditional replacement if lost, stolen or damaged is from a company in the United Kingdom, and I of course can't send it in the post for my replacement free while she is buzzing and alarming, and vibrant.

so it'll be at least a week before the battery dies offshore, so I can do it.

It's a nice mobile phone, by far my favorite blackberry ever but that alarm is of course quite wrong.

If only the battery could be deleted

I didn't have problems with the alarm as you make it.

    What should do?

    1. What is your operating system loaded on your device? From the main screen, drag to the bottom of the black bezel that is superior to the settings > everything... What is the Version of the OS that there are listed?
    2. Do NOT turn off the device to restart the device.
    3. Restart the unit in one or two of the following methods:
    • Restart: With the BlackBerry powereddevice, press and hold the power button on top about 20-30 seconds, ignore the 3-2-1 timer and hold the button until the screen goes black and you see the red LED.

    or

    • Restart: With the phone smart BlackBerry turned on, using the keys of volume of the edge side, press on and hold the keys of volume for about 20 seconds and both of the Up, ignoring the initial message of screenshot... the screen go black, reboot.

  • Windows Vista, a Fried motherboard and a replacement motherboard

Alrighty... try to keep up with me, it's going to be long.

Last week, the first day of 2011 Snowpocalypse, we lost power for about 4 hours. My House was built in the surge protector, and normally I don't need to worry about this, but for some reason any, when power came back, I must have experienced a wave and bass-n-behold, my computer (HP Pavilion M8530F) won't start.

After a diagnosis, I decided that the issue WAS NOT the power supply. After bridging deadman switch, I checked each line with a multimeter, and the system works very well. But my computer still does not start.

The next thing that would FRY (and the last thing that I can fix it) are the motherboard, which after about a day or two of verification of the tech support sites, seems to be the next thing to fail in a burst. So I have set out to see what was my motherboard. This is where things got complicated.

My motherboard is allegedly a card Asus M2N78 - THE MicroATX specifications in support of HP and Newegg site. But, when I try to find this forum on the site of Asus, they only list.

    Curious, huh?

So I tell myself my first course of action is to try to find an another M2N78 - LA. I managed to find two: one on eBay (which I lost the bid) and another via a China company (which I guess has access to a warehouse full of things damned). Chinese society takes about $400 for the stupid thing and that there is simply no way I who pays.

With no motherboard in replacement of the same race, my last remaining options are so buy a new Board, with similar specs, or buy a new computer (that I will fight tooth and nail to avoid). As I shall endeavour to exhaust all of my options first, I ordered the new mobo.

The new motherboard is an Asus, more precisely a M4A785-M (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131595), and a fairly similar components, that I wouldn't have too much trouble with it, assuming that I have to reinstall Vista.

Theoretically, the jury should be here tomorrow, but I have a problem: I don't know, but I think THAT my copy of Vista Home Premium 64 OEM, because it is pre-installed when I bought the computer from Best Buy. From what I have learned, this makes the installation of the new motherboard a pain, because Vista could reject the new material.

So, I'm stuck against a wall on this one. If I contact the Microsoft activation service, I'll be able to get a new license key after proving that I have this machine and Windows, or I have to buy a new license?

And if I have to buy a new license altogether, would be a Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Upgrade work?

    Hey Sluka.J

If vista is preinstalled on a computer hp it is a vista oem license and is linked to the original equipment installed on

If you want to install a different motherboard or updated that should be done in collaboration with the manufacturer of the computer in your case hp

and you must have an operating system that is activated to upgrade to windows 7

and normally when you do this with a license for sale at retail would have to reinstall vista as the installed vista on the old hard disk contains the drivers for the old motherboard

you have changed the original material without the consent of hp or help with oem license

  • Motherboard and processor swap yeilds BSOD (blue screen error) in all modes.

Two and 1/2 years, I'm building my own computer using an OEM of Windows Vista disk.

Over the few months that I replaced the card motherboard and CPU on my computer at the main house, this dual boots Linux Ubuntu and Windows Vista.  It was working fine until recently.  The folks at EVGA set to day the jury after the first replacement fizzled when the machine starts up the second time.  I've since upgraded to a new modular power supply and a new processor Intel Quad (Q9300).

Running this configuration I can't log on to windows using my main hard drive, a 500 G SATA.  I am able to choose Safe mode, safe mode with network... etc, but no matter what selection I make results in a brief flash of the BSOD, then my computer restarts. I got to the video screen to read as follows

"A problem has been detected and windows has shut down to prevent damage to your computer.  If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer.  If this screen appears again, follow these steps.  Check for viruses on your computer.  Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers.  Check your hard drive to ensure that it is properly configured and completed.  Run CHDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.  "Technical information: * STOP: 0x00.

I have virus scanned the disc with two calls from home via Windows Vista and ClamTK via Linux Ubuntu 10.04.  I tried with just the main hard drive connected and the connected IDE as well.  The hard drive seems to be connected correctly and has no problem running Ubuntu Linux in a dual-boot configuration.

I ran CHDSK several once... no problems with SATA cable or he analyzes with a USB adapter with my laptop also on Windows Vista.  I was able to load Windows Vista on a separate hard drive (a former IDE 160 G) and ran from the disk check a couple different time to boot from the installation CD and the 160 g, after 6 scans, no problems were detected.

Yesterday I woke up upward and instead of my computer up-to-date 87 or so updates to build one of the service packs, I was greeted with a copyright message, "an error has occurred.  You can also contact Microsoft by phone to help solve the problem.  «Code: 0xc004e002 Description: the software licensing service reported that the license above store contains inconsistent data.»

I saved all the information in dual boot drive of 500G, it was always perfectly accessible and I used DBAN (of derrick boot and nuke) to refresh the smallest 160G hard drive.  I have reinstalled windows vista and ran the first 80 some updates and refused permission to check my license number.  The 160G hard drive starts and works fine... but it reassures me that I have to present once again the license number.  How can I get a different result than the blue screen of death or violation of copyright?

If she gave you this code you shouldn't have a problem.

Once Windows is activated, you can start one of these utlities to document the product key.

  • Satellite U300 falls down and cannot wake up from sleep mode

    Hello

I got a Satellite U300 a few days and I get in trouble, when the laptop goes into sleep mode.
The thing is that when he goes to sleep, the screen turns off but the light stays on (blue), instead of flashing with an orange color.

It is not possible to wake the portable computer, and the only solution is to restart the computer.

I tried the different possibilities to enter sleep mode, and I get the problem mainly when the computer is in high-performance Vista and when you press the stop button in the quick menu.

I know Vista gives a certain a lot of problems, but I didn't know anyone here who face the same problem.
Should I send the laptop back to technical support?

    Thanks in advance,

I had the opportunity to work a little with several laptops from Toshiba, and one of them was Satellite U300. After a brief check of the basic functions for laptop I can say with certainty that switch between mode and standby/hibernation mode work well and I didn't notice any problems.

I really don't understand what is wrong with that, but please do:
-If you want to switch to standby mode, choose option using the button START.
-Wait a bit and I hope after a few seconds, the laptop will change automatically in standby mode (blinking amber LED)
    -Close the cover
-Wait a moment opened the lid and press the power button
I really hope that your laptop will start correctly and you will be able to use the OS again.
