Replacement of a WiFi card G6-1350SP

Hello

I have a G6-1350SP Pavilion and recently my card "Realtek RTL8188CE" Wifi is dead and his watch not even when I inspect the system BIOS or Win7.

So I think that the wireless card is dead or the Board of Directors died, hope a bit is 1...

After I browse the local shops for the laptop computer wifi cards I have these choices:

-Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 + BT4.0 (3160HMW) in bulk;

-INTEL Centrino Advanced-N 6205 WiFi, Dual-Band;

-INTEL WiFi Centrino Advanced-N 6235, Dual-Band + Bluetooth 4.0.

Will one of these work on my laptop? Or did?

Thank you.

    Hello:

Here is the link to the service manual for your laptop.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c02642701.PDF

Wireless cards supported are listed in Chapter 3 begins on page 24.

From the looks of it, you have the choice between the Atheros AR9280 2 x 2 adapter WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n, or the

4322 Broadcom 802.11a/b/g/n wireless network adapter.

You get only one of the maps in the service manual and they MUST have the HP part # on them, or they WILL NOT work in your laptop.

Be sure to choose a card with the part # listed for your locale.

  • HP Envy Sleekbook M6-k025dx: replacement of a WiFi card

I currently have the Intel Centrino Wireless-N 2230 wifi card in my laptop. I had so many problems with the intermitten connection. I found that it is a common problem with this card. I am currently working in IT, so I decided to replace the card myself. The card that I bought (without looking at the white list) is the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 - network adapter - PCI Express Half Mini Card - 802 11b, 802 11A, 8..., which is not on the whitelst. This card will be acceptable to use, or should I try a new?

    Thanks in advance,

    Matt

A laptop HP product from 2012 is no longer a white list in the BIOS for the wifi modules.

    It should work without problem.

  • Replace the Atheros WiFi card in HP G60T-500

Hi, several other users pointed out that there are questions compaitabilty router with the internal wireless card of Atheros who came into the HP G60T-500 and N Wireless routers so I thought I would replace the WiFi and I would appreciate your help.

HP requires whitelist cards only will everything work internal WiFi card in the G60T-500?

    Thank you

I have a modem router from Linksys WAG320N but expected something better. It is easy to configure for a connection high speed and have a lot of adjustment possibilities but a transmission of the signal is very poor. It is said that there are 3 antennas (internal I guess, don't see them) and I had trouble with a bad signal within a dish a few meters from the router. Genererally is not a bad router. I've seen a lot of recommendations for billions routers (modem router)...

The name of Cisco on Linksys products not always means reliability. I do not know which router I will buy as a replacement for the WAG320N in the future, but it would not be a Valet or Linksys. This D-Link good mine:

Hello, I am aware that HP uses a 'white list' in the bios to prevent the upgrade of some hardware. It is my understanding that HP put an end to this practice.

My question has to do with when they abandoned this practice I want to upgrade my laptop wifi card dv7-7212nr want to 2012. The bios of my laptop includes the code of white list? Does anyone know when HP officially stopped using white list in their bios?

    Thank you!

Yes, the BIOS of your laptop includes a white list. HP has ceased to put it on the new laptops on time of the year graces last on assembled laptops that later, but the withdrawal from the whitelist was not retroactive. If it was there when your laptop was new, it is still there.

See Chapter 5 for R & R procedures card wlan.

If your model has two antennas, attached to the card, as shown in the illustration, you should be able to replace the card wirelessly with any model of card you want suits you (PCIe HMC).

    For example:

    http://www.Amazon.com/wireless-7260hmwan-Bluetooth-Intel-717381-001/DP/B00KS0BQU0/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&QID=1435253413&SR=1-2&keywords=HP+717381-001

He there that a single antenna, then you won't be able to change it to a dual band wireless card.

Some laptops with wireless card model that your laptop has, come with an antenna.

After several hours with HP support, we have reloaded windows as a last resort.

This fixed the problem of wireless-N with the ralink wireless card.

I have created the restore point, applied updates (windows update) via the hp support assistant.

  • SL410 WIFI card replacement.

    Hello

I m new here, so everybody got my Best looks.

    I bought a SL410 (2842-44Y) a month ago.

After trying ir to work, having a few problems with the WiFi, I realized that it's map of Wi - Fi b/g/n ThinkPad (Yes the Realtek one...) FRU 43Y6553).

As I read on this Forum, it seems that this card is bad enough: as a professional network, used for the survey and install WiFi 802.11 networks, I can CONFIRM THAT.

Maybe for standard use, it might be good, but not professional.

Unafortunately, LENOVO or sellers, told me that. In fact here in Argentina, we can´t choose the basic configuration, just take it or not.

The point is that if you're a professional network, and you need to 'work' with this card, it is useless.

Because the sensitivity level is quite 'awful': max - 45dbm back to back with any type or brand of router/Access Point, when in my experience, it should be understood between-10 /-15 (my old line T shows only).

As far from the AP, the real RSSI (or Signal Sthenght) is 20dbm below any other card (less coverage).

These levels are doing is useless for studies of Site WiFi, Configurations or same set-up, because we need to have actual data.

It 'funny' s see how Lenovo access connection (or the Microsoft one) shows you a 100% signal strength when in reality its 56%, as evidenced by the specific tools of the measurement of the spectrum WiFi as InSSider, NetStumbler or WirelesMonitor.

I think that patched the issue than I ve Lenovo read here, on the weak Signal on connection of access, by "masksing", not sure of fixing...

While the investment is made (I can not here just return the notebook or request a replacement) and I ve to work!, the only way I ve to solve this problem try to replace the WiFi card with a new one.

I have read the PSREF and it seems there are two options of base of INTEL, but tech supp can´t make sure my ThinkPad can deal with them:

    + WiFi Link 5100 (FRU 43Y6517)

    + Centrino Advanced N-6200 (FRU 60Y3231)

My HW is based on Intel CORE 2 Duo T6670 / Mobile Intel 4 Chipset.

Can anyone tell me, or advice, if these maps work on my SL410?

    Thank you very much!

    Kind regards

The KVR is high density (4 blocks on one side) and above is of low density (8 blocks on one side) and HPs tend to like low density memory.

  • Replacing the WIFI card

I have a Compaq NC6120 running XP I want to upgrade to Windows 7, but my WIRELESS card is not supported. If Im trying to find a WIFI card that works in my Compaq NC6120 with Windows 7 so I can connect wireless to my HP Pavilion Desktop which is running Windows 7.

    Any ideas?

    Hello:

Not only the wifi card is not supported, but none are fully supported video card.

I can send you the link to a driver that will allow you to change the resolution of the screen and have the graphics acceleration, but you don't have Windows Aero on a nc6120.

I looked the cards available for your laptop supported in the maintenance manual wireless and chose this card as being compatible with Windows 7:

    Hewlett Packard Part # 381582-001 Intel 802.11 B/G WM3B2200BG.

The card must have the HP part on that number or your laptop does not start even upward except if the unsupported card is removed.

Best bet is to get a used but tested and functional condition on eBay. Search for the part number.

This is the cheapest I could find.

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/original-HP-Compaq-NC6120-WiFi-wireless-card-381582-001-/120862412936?PT=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c23f61088

Now for the video card driver...

It's the one you need. Windows Vista Business 32-bit of the nc6220

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=447371&prodNameId=447348&swEnvOID=2096&swLang=8&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=ob-47264-1

    Instructions to install...

Download and run the file. It will error out and give you an error no operating system support. Close to that.

Go to Device Manager and click on your VGA adapter. Then click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select the 'Browse my computer for software' and navigate to C:\SWSetup\sp34749.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and the driver should install.

When you see the available wireless cards, card dual band you see is only for laptops equipped with Intel processors - and it is not serious, as the part number of this card is incorrect and no one knows which is the right one.

Change a wireless card in a HP consumer notebook is nothing less that a nighmare due to the blocking of all BIOS maps are not not in the service manual for the specific model laptop.

  • Someone else has an iPhone 6 with a faulty wifi card?

I had problems with the wifi connection on my iPhone 6 during some time now. The phone constantly drops the connection wifi, carries a low when connected connection and force me to be right next to the router in order to make a connection. I first contacted apple to this topic on December 2015 (2 months after my 1 year warranty) they got to toggle flight mode, toggle the wifi button, reset the network settings, reset the phone completely back to factory settings... I did everything several times and the problem is still there.  I was told by a couple of reps on the phone to take the phone to an Apple Store and ask them to help me... So I took the 2-hour drive to the Apple store nearest to say that the phone has a faulty wifi card and it is not repairable. He said the phone had to be replaced, but I was out of the warranty period and I have to pay $299.00 more taxes for a replacement...

Does anyone else have this problem? I'm quite shocked that apple refuses to fix it which is at their end in the form of a defective unit. I understand that it is out of warranty, but it is a problem of manufacturig. These phone cost US $300 more our old phone. I am not able to drop $300 + on a new phone that I feel that apple should be responsible. I have been looking online similar questions and have not yet find something.

Millions of this model were sold. It is likely that someone else has had a problem with their WiFi card.

I think you don't understand quite what than a guarantee. It covers all defects or failures of discovered components during the warranty period. If the phone has a two year warranty (as it would have if you had paid for AppleCare +) you would still be covered. But, if the WiFi card failed after 26 months, it would not be covered. As you are now about six months outside of your warranty, I don't know why you would expect Apple to cover a problem that you don't yet report to them until after that the guarantee was already more. You just wait for Apple to cover the failure of a component for as long as you have the phone?
