Replacement of motherboard on PC HP Media Center under Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
On a HP Pavilion Media Center m8226x desktop PC is running OEM Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit) version. Replacing motherboard ASUS M2N68 - motherboard HP Narra2-GL8E 6150SE with a card mother MCP61PM-HM (Nettle2) due to the failure. The two boards have same chipset and form factor. Can I just replace the Board of Directors without having to reinstall windows? Do I need to install new drivers? I do not have a CD installation or installation key, Microsoft would provide a key if necessary? Is there a link I can reference for replacement MB / install?
Thanks for you help!
HC
OEM license is linked to the original version of the motherboard, it is M2N68 - LA. You lose OEM 'rights' when you have changed the Council.

You pay with the exchange for motherboards.
1. you normally have to reinstall the OS after changing motherboards (different drivers)
2 Microsoft won't provide a new product key.
3. you can try explainging what you do.

How to disable, remove or uninstall Windows Media Center of Windows 7 Home Premium more.
You can go in Panel, programs and features and functionality in Windowson and outside. I think you have to turn off the Media Center and WindowsMedia Player. As indicated, you will not be able to remove the bits that arepart of the operating system. On Wednesday, May 19, 2010 14:29:23 + 0000, randy g simmons wrote:> How to disable, remove or uninstall Windows Media Center of Windows 7 Home Premium more.Barb Bowman www.digitalmediaphile.com

Installation of Windows Mobile Device Center in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
I had been Active Sync with my Palm Treo. I bought a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. So I downloaded and tried to install drvupdate - amd64.exe, the 64-bit version of Windows Mobile Device Center for my AMD Athlon II X 2 2.7 GHz e-machine. By running the installation program, it seems to make progress and then in the Middle, it seems reverse-the remaining time runs backward, and the installation Bar starts going right to left rather then from left to right. I get no explanation, no code error and no results. Windows Mobile Device Center is not in my list of installed programs. I don't think to close my anti-virus programs. How can I install Windows Mobile Device Center 64?
Thank you. Before I had this message, I got the WMDC installed by stopping antivirus, Carbonite and uninsralling law service programs! I am not sure that I had to do the latter, but I thought that the law! Outlook may have hurt service. However, I will use the set of instructions that you gave me for a problem with separate installation that I am now known (Office 2003 SP3).

I had sound problems and got a pop up saying audio applet did not work, I chkd the sound test in Control Panel and drivers in Device Manager it says all drivers have been updated and had a MS Mr. Fixit scan and everything said it was OK. Also I went to chat with and MS engineer who just told me to do the things that I had already done so who did not help either. Then, I lost all sound and when I went and chkd Manager of devices, he said that the sound driver was not installed, I went to Dell to have a driver update installed thinking to recognize the missing driver and install it but that didn't work. I can't find something at Dell who tells me how to install the drivers by default/applets. I got chk Dell for updates of pilot and analysis says that it does not work on something more old then XP but my OS is a Vista Home Premium so I don't understand that, I ran an another Mr. Fixit scan but it showed no problems. I suspect it is the applet which has stopped working and it gives a wrong signal that it is the driver that does not work when it is the applet which poses problem. Is there a scan which analyzes all aspects of the audio system and will repair or replace or at least give me a list of things that need to be replaced or updated? Any help would be appreciated I tried to solve this problem for the past two months and I really want to fix this now if possible.
Hello
Create a new user account and check if the problem persists, if the problem does not persist in the new user account, then you can fix the damaged user account.

trying to find some support replacing windows vista Home premium 64-bit.
A week ago, I looked in getting the media replacement for vista. am went to order it yesterday evening and here, EVERYTHING is windows 7. When I click on the links to order, I have poured into panoramas home page. no other media. am I rightly assuming that microsoft has stopped? If so now how can I get it? I cannot afford to buy windows 7 right now and have a version perfectly good 32-bit vista box, but prefer to take advantage of the 64-bit operating system.
Hi Bicycledr4376,
I suggest you to check with the Office of the orders for replacement media. You can contact them at the 800-360-7561

My system does not work properly. Something has closed most of my Windows programs. How it happened and why I don't know. I can not do that more with Microsoft. First it was XP, Vista now. It's like as soon as Windows 7 is out Microsoft has launched programs to destroy Windows Vista. I have to deal with that now. Please if anyone sees this and can help, please help me!
Hello eco123eco,
1. click on Start, click principally made programs, Accessories, right-click on command promptand select run as administrator.
2. click on continue or provide credentials admin if prompted.
3. in the command prompt window type the following, sfc/scannow (yes he's a space after sfc), and then press ENTER. This analysis may take some time to complete.
Hope this helps you. Let us know anyway. Make it a great day!

Download Windows Media Center in Windows XP Home Edition?
I want to download Windows Media Center in Windows XP Home Edition. I can do or do I have to install Windows XP Media Center Edition? If I install XP Media Center Edition can just move from Windows XP Home Edition?
Thank you!
DavidThere is no such thing as a download of MCE to XP Pro or home.
You may be able to find an upgrade, if you search the Web.
Operating system upgrades are not a good way to go, always better to have the full version.
Since MCE is an older version, you can find now a lot cheaper than it used to be.
