Replacement of my memory

I came here to ask for confirmation or an aid for the purchase of a new ram...

My notebook is found here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02017989

I checked out the site of Kingston. It does not seem that they do memory that is guaranteed compatible with your desktop computer. Test Crucial or Corsair. Only buy memory modules compatible guarnteed and replace the memory installed initially by the new modules.

If you install 4 GB and have a 32-bit operating system, then your operating system will be recocgnize and use @3.25 GB of installed memory.

If you manage to somehow break the Gold contacts on the bottom of a memory module, then it will stop working and your PC does not start in Windows.

I replaced the server memory with ram from another PE 2950 II who worked the night last and this morning its generators again errors.

Someone at - it recommendations on what else to do? I thought maybe is it time to replace the motherboard, but I wasn't sure.

  • I replace 3 GB memory of 8 GB and do a 'custom' installation of Win 7 from 32 bit to 64 bit. Should I install the memory before installing Win 7 or after?

I currently have VISTA 32 - bit OS (SP 2) on a gateway FX - 541S; Intel Core 2 Quad processor Q6600 (2.40 GHz, 1066 Hz FSB, 8 MB cache); 3072 MB 800 MHz DDR2 SDRAM and a 700 w power supply.  I have Office 2007, which is probably the 32-bit, so it seems I have to upgrade to Office 2010.

Better do you after installing. Once installation is complete, then turn off and put in new RAM. Check the properties of the computer to see if the 8 GB is used (chances are that Windows 7 hardware reserves some of the memory). And you don't have to upgrade to 64 - bit for the Office, 32-bit applications are compatible with 64-bit Windows in most cases. Only difference is that 64-bit applications have been designed for 64-bit Windows, so performance will be better (you may not notice it however).

  • Screen flashing horizontal lines after replacing the RAM

    Hello world

Today, I replaced the original 2 2 GB RAM each with 2 other 4 GB each (Kingston) for better performance.

    I have a Macbook Pro end 2011 15 ", IOS 9.3.1.

I opened the computer it vacuum cleaner very carefully, with the lowest power and then I removed the two RAM.

I'm not new, the machine worked perfectly for 20 minutes, then the screen went black (electricity was running in it, I could see some lights on the bottom), I did close it with the button, turn it on and horizontal lines appeared.

I turn again and nothing has changed. I replaced the new memory with the 'old' and I still have horizontal lines that cross the monitor (white, grey, black).

Any idea of what is happening and how to fix it?

    Thank you in advance!

  • HP xw4400 workstation memory problem

I recently upgraded the memory on my system to 8 GB by replacing all 4 memory cards 512 MB by default with 2048MB of updates to level. However, my system properties shows only 3.25 GB of RAM. I need additional memory because the computer is running out of resources on a regular basis and I need a boost of memory. What will do for my system to use all of the 8 GB?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    D

Hello navi5, if you need to use the 8GBs of memory, you must upgrade to an x 64 version of the operating system. Your processor supports the 64 x operating systems. Your video card also supports Windows 7 Aero.

If you have decided to go with Windows 7 x 64, you must perform a new installation. You cannot upgrade directly from Windows XP. Microsoft has a way to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7. I would say Windows 7 Pro x 64 and Windows 7 Home Premium x 64 would work as well.

You get not only the performance of the additional memory, but Windows 7 is faster than Windows XP and Microsoft ends support for Windows XP in about a year.

I would also check the software you use will work with any version of Windows 7 x 64.

  • HP Pavilion 6653w "imminent hard drive failure! "Backup and replace. Questions.

Hello, I have a HP Pavilion 6653w with Windows 7 Home Premium desktop computer.   It is 4 to 6 years old.  Recently, when I start it, I get a message "imminent hard disk failure!  Please save and replace as soon as possible."  I've never had to replace a hard drive before, so I have some questions:

1 should. what type of disc do I replace - be of the same type that I have now?  (Hitachi, 1 TB).   Is there a list somewhere that shows which drives are not suitable for my computer?

2 - is a mechanically inclined person (my husband) could do at home, or that it does not require a professional?  My husband has replaced a front memory card, we just request if it is similar to the one in trouble?

    Thank you!

This link will take you to a document on the withdrawal and the replacement of a hard drive on a HP or Compaq desktop computer.  If it is not identical to your case, it will be a little similar.  The point is, that it is not terribly difficult; This is something you might be able to tackle yourself, or with a friend who has some experience with computers.

    I hope this helps.

  • Re: Satellite P500 - 1C7 do not wake up after adding memory

    Hello
    I replaced the original memory of 2 x 4 GB 2x2gb.

It works fine except that the PC doesn't wake up after a break.
    I have win7 64.
    How is that possible?

The laptop worked before adding new modules?
If so, then the problem could be related to new modules
In this case I recommend that you test the other modules

I use Kingston modules has never had any problems using these memory modules.

  • New memory for Satellite M105

I have a Toshiba M105 - S3084 which has a 2G memory (2 x 1 G modules). I bought a pair of memory 2G in replacement of current memory modules. Problem (I know it sounds strange), is that I can only find a place to put 1 of the memory sticks!

I opened the hood to memory, removed the stick 'only' present and put in its place one of the 2G modules. Could not find another module to be replaced.

Rebooted the laptop and memory is now showing 3G of Ram and Belarc advisor shows it as:
    Slot 'M1' has 1024 MB
    Slot 'M2' has 2048 MB

Does anyone know where the module M1 is hidding in a M105 - S3084 Toshiba Satellie laptop?

    Thank you.

    > Found the answer. A slot of memory is under the laptop as described in the user guide. The other is hidden under the keyboard.
I think that you didn t have several portable ;) just kidding ;)

The two s of RAM on my laptop age of 8 years were also placed under the keyboard, and as far as I know the RAM modules are placed under the keyboard on many laptops from different manufacturers.

    Hello

I read about this diagnostic software and it seems that this software is operating system independent, which allows the program to directly access hardware, bypassing the DOS or Windows, for faster and more accurate troubleshooting.
But nevertheless, I recommend you to ask for help ASP. It may also start a diagnostic test and can give you an appropriate response.

By the way: it of not possible to replace a graphics memory or graphics card.
The graphics card is a small chip that attaches to the motherboard. In this case, you will need to change the motherboard. Well, but before you start to replace whatever it is ask for a care service

  • RAM memory

Hello, I have the HP Pavilion dv6000 and my laptop has 3 GB of ram merory (2 GB + 1 GB), I want to replace my ram memory

    (1 GB) with memory G.skill  F2 - 5300CL5S - 2GBSK SO DIMM DDR2 667 mHz CL5... is this possible?

    Thank you

Your model can accept 4 gigabytes of RAM. Yes the G.Skill will probably work, but you'd be 100% sure if you have tried to find another 2 gig module, like the one already in it.
