Replacement of the cable DC02000S800 for Satellite L500-128
I'm looking for a DC02000S800 cable because mine is broken. I get green colors on my screen etc. Anyone know where I can find it for a reasonable price? If I have to buy at a local store, it's around $ 100. Way too expensive for such a cable.
Thanks in advance
Who is "they"?
Use Google for your country and check if you can find a few independent stores to order the LCD cable.
Otherwise contact Toshiba service provider in your country and ask if they can order one for you.
I have a Toshiba Satellite L500-128 with an Intel Centrino duo core proccessor with duo core 2 technology and wanted to know if it is possible to
pgrade whether a quard core proccessor or a core I3 processor?
In my opinion the SSDS are quite expensive in that time and I think that you shouldn't spend a lot of money for it now.
I think that you should increase the RAM to the maximum level and make the right configuration of the OS and you should be satisfied with the performance.
I don't know what you're doing with your laptop, but for every day activities, it will be enough.
My nvidia 7600 go graphics card fell into my laptop (black screen, no vga output).
Does anyone know of any other graphics cards I can use as a replacement because I can not hand on the original anywhere (it's a stand-alone card by the way, not built-in).
Thanks in advance.

I doubt that you can replace only the graphics chip
In most cases, the graphics card is part of the motherboard.
Of course some chips are not soldered and could be removed, but these are special chips and match only with these special commissions.
As far as I know you can order all the compatible parts of an ASP in local, but I think it will be not possible to order only a standalone graphics chip but the whole motherboard for P100.
Nevertheless, it is worth to ask guys in your country
I have a 4-5 year old Toshiba L500-128 and I would like to upgrade the processor. ATM I have a Core 2 Duo T6500. I know that I can put a T9500 inside, but if possible I would ask a better. So I have a few questions:
(1) can I put a CPU with front side bus 1066 MHZ speed and it'll work? T6500 has 800 FSB.
(2) can I put a CPU with 44 or 45W TDP? T6500 has 35W.
(3) if the answer is Yes to the two questions above, I put a CPU with 1066 FSB and 45W?
Is possible, I would put something like T9900 or even a Quad Core.
Thanks in advance :)

In my opinion, you should check the compatibility of the chipset and CPU support.
As far as I know the motherboard the computer s portable supports the Chipset Mobile Intel GM45 Express
On the Intel Ark page, I could find the Intel Mobile GM45 chipset specifications and compatible products:
However, the fact is that new CPU must be supported by the chipset and BIOS.
If one of the parties (chipset or BIOS) is not compatible with the new processor, the laptop does not start at the top.
In addition, you should also know that the manufacturers of portable don t support upgrading processors.
Does that mean exactly?
This means that even if the chipset would support the new processor, BIOS could be the troublemaker and couldn't stand the improved CPU. From my experience, there is no information on BIOS support. Therefore, the CPU upgrade is always a risky procedure. Maybe it will work, maybe not
Today, I removed the key from my computer toshiba laptop +. When I tried to replace it, I saw that the clip under the key has been broken. So now, I want to know if I can buy the clip so I can connect my key with the keyboard again. I don't want to buy a new keyboard. It's a waste of money, because the rest of the keyboard is in a very good state. I'm from the Netherlands.
With sincere friendships.
Maybe it's hard to hear but I think that Akuma is good and you can t replace individual keys only. Only a full keyboard is available and can be ordered and no Exchange, no unique key. The authorized service provider in my country told me that the information
So I think you need to order a set of keyboard of an authorized service provider.
But don t worry not about this. Keyboards are not so expensive. ;)
I'm having some problems with the keyboard on my Satellite L500-128 - essentially; 8, 9, i, o, k, l and comma and period keys do not work.
All other keys are working perfectly fine (I use an external keyboard if people wonder!)
I'm technically minded but I was wondering if its worth disassemble the laptop and have one eye or if someone has had this problem with this laptop before - or if someone has any ideas with what he could fix.
I tried to do a reset of the laptop (battery and pressing power button) I reinstalled the operating system, but the keyboard still has problems in the BIOS too.
In my opinion and as suggested by Liam, it looks like a simple keyboard malfunction and to solve this problem, the keyboard needs to be replaced.
The Toshiba service in your country partner could replace the defective
Otherwise, you could try to replace it yourself, but if you are a beginner and if you have no experience, ask a support technician.
I change the cable/connector for * power switch button * which connect to motherborad. If anyone no where I can get in? I tried at PC world, but they do not have cable, I am looking.
My laptop SPAC:
Satellite A100-033 part number: PSAANE-03J02GEN
I can t tell you the part number because I m not the owner of the Satellite A100, but a service provider authorized in your country can do this:
http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an authorized service provider
Just give them a call and ask. Maybe they can send you the replacement part. :)
The AC on my Satellite L500 adapter died while the laptop was in warranty repairs (again), the repairman to put the cable straight into the bin without saving the part number for me.
How can I find out the number of PA buy a replacement adapter?
For example the 19V 4. 74 a power adapter with the part number * PA3716E-1AC3 * should be compatible
Can I change the CPU and the GPU on my Satellite L500-210? If so, what is compatible?

The driver LAN for Satellite A100-787 is delivered with no configuration file and windows hardware installation does not recognize.
I don't know how to install it... Any help?
I guess you are trying to install the driver LAN WXP because Vista LAN driver is not available. Am I wrong?
In any case:
-Create a new folder on your desktop
-extract all downloaded files here
-Open Device Manager and right-click on device unknown you want to install
-find the Install driver button
-Click on it and go to the new folder created
-Follow the on-screen menu
I hope that you can install to ti the pilot FTAs.
I downloaded the infrared driver for Satellite Pro U400 - 12 p
When I run the Setup, I get an error that says "the installation of the windows package file is not complete" or something like that.
Anyway, he said that the Setup file is in ruins. Tried downloading it several times.
Hope I have posted this question in the right forum.
Thanks for help.
When you download the driver to extract it to a folder created on your desktop. From there start the setup.exe file. It should work.
Have you done the same?
How can I disable the touchpad on my Satellite L500?
I think he touchpad is interfereing with the cursor and text lines as I type, so I want to disable the pad.
You can do this by using the FN + F9 key combination.
Check it out.
Can someone tell me if it is possible to boot from a USB stick (for example with Xubuntu 9.10 on it) on a new Satellite L500 (-128)?
She has the necessary options USB - HDD it in the BIOS for this?
The owners of any Satellite L500 there able to give accurate information? would be appreciated. I could do with the knowledge before you buy one.
Thank you very much.
Yes, the L500 can boot from USB Flash Drives. I believe that all 2008-2009 Toshiba laptops can boot from USB :)
Satellite L500-128 - FN keys do not work with the help of the operating system Windows 7 x 64
Satellite L500-128 belongs to the series of PSLJ3E.
The European driver Toshiba page contains all drivers for this unit.
Next to the installation of value-added package, you will need to install the Flash Cards Support utility v 188.8.131.52.
Buttons controls the FN Flash Cards!
I have a problem with my Toshiba Satellite L500-128.
After I installed Windows 7 Ultimate, my laptop is very very slow at startup. He hangs on to my wireless network connection or non - wireless (no matter whether I am connected to a cable). At this point, Windows has already started, but has not loaded al my applications yet. After 1.5 minutes or so when it is connected to my network (or has decided that he cannot connect because I'm not connected to a network), it continues and all is well.
I already installed the latest network drivers. I have a Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller and an Intel Wifi Link 5100 AGN.
Is there anyone who has this problem and fixed it?
I had a similar problem on Windows XP... The problem is that I used my router DHCP service it takes up to 1 minute I could use the laptop. I searched a bit here in the forum and I tried to use static IP addresses instead of DHCP from my router service: the problem has been resolved! :)
Please try static IP addresses and update the firmware on your router!
