  the last 2 times I had to restart after installing an update windows CHKDSK destroyed my computer when chkdsk incorrectly replacing invalid security with the default id id.  OUCH!

  Whenever I roboot now CHKDSK can go and I don't want to lose my computer time a third and having to reinstall everything again.

  Is there some kind of fix for this?

  Response by Sebastien will disable chkdsk to run at startup.

  My concern here is that even after a format and clean install, chkdsk keeps is triggered to run.

  This could be a sign that the hard drive begins to run out.  It is my recommendation that you begin to take a very up-to-date backup of your data very convenient where the disc goes down.

  I install peopletools 8.50 with application MFC 9.0 with Oracle 11 g on Windows 8 (32 bit). Everything went well and I installed with success of the PIA and peoplesoft signon page becomes also open in my browser.

  No, if you want to keep all rights to the service or support from Apple. Not to mention the fact that it then will be bork Touch ID and make the phone unusable if ever, you restore or update of iOS.

  Apple doesn't sell parts of the iPhone. There is no legitimate sources for replacement screens.

  When is the key being denied? -Keep in mind that there are "excluded" characters (for example, 0 and I etc.) and those that are very easily confused (8/B, 2/Z, etc.) and, if the answer is in the system rather than by the activation servers, it is likely that this is the problem.

  I can only suggest that you keep plugging away with the product key update tool until you find the right key.

• When you use Windows Explorer to view the files and folders, the thumbnails of image files appear briefly then are replaced with the default icon of the image file. I tried the answers to similar problems, but none worked.

  Browse the folders with image files, I cannot see the thumbnail icons for images correctly.  I know, it should be possible, but I can't do it.

  The result is that, if I want to open an image for editing or downloading, I have to use a third-party application (for example, Pentax Photo Browser) to preview images, and then return to the Explorer window to select the correct file by name.   You might want to try it and I just did this procedure myself a moment ago and surprising, it worked!  First of all I must tell you that I have Windows Vista, but the information I got was for Windows 7 and it worked.

  First: You must create a NEW FOLDER and put it on your desktop.
  Second: Move or copy the contents of the original file in the NEW FOLDER on the desktop. I copied the content, just in case something went wrong.
  Third: After that is finished and all the contents are inside you.
  Fourth: On the desktop right click on the folder and click Properties at the bottom of the box.
  Fifth: Click Customize tab at the top and then the Middle click on DEFAULT settings for the folder.  Click on apply to, click OK and your done

  NOW! You can move the folder wherever you want by drag-and - drop the folder and when it's done and that's the best part, you should see the thumbnails of the folder on the EDGE of the folder that you just created.  It worked for me and I hope it works for you.

  Please try this:-with your PDF document open, click on the "comment section" on the side right of your document, under "list of comments", click the "Filter comments" icon and choose "View all comments" or "hide all comments.

• How can I replace the default search (Yahoo...) with Google engine, when I write a word in the address line?

  Recently, I installed FireFox on my new pc. Whenever I type a Word, for example a name of a Web site, I get the resault search yahoo, instead of what I had before - to enter directly on the site, or in some cases - get Google search results.
  I would like to be able to type the name of the site (for example - "filefactory") and are directed to the site itself, as it was with the previous version I had in my old pc.

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
