    Hello:

I see an HDMI port on the map output...

Why what happened?  The answer is that your video card has HDMI that requires a separate HDMI audio chip on the video card. So yes, your videocard DID cause it happens because the PC has picked up map video, disabled the car video (if you have an onboard video) and also disabled the audio system integrated, take on it for audio HDMI on the video card.

The solution is simple, but almost no one knows about it, so I wouldn't say it's something stupid...

Go into your BIOS. Looking for an embedded audio setting. It will be either disabled or Auto. Change the setting on " Enabled".  Save the setting here where you made the change, and again when you exit the BIOS.

When the PC restarts your integrated sound card needs to be restored, and you will also have the use of your audio HDMI when you plug an HDMI cable to your TV.

Consult this publication of the article.

There are two updates of BIOS for your PC.  You apply them?  You will need to disable secure boot and enable the legacy mode to do so.  See the links below.

    Hello!

I have a TOSHIBA Satellite M70, with video card Intel (r) 915GM/GMS (256 MB) that is not working properly (it might be made of the mechanical shock or high temperature, do not know, but I'm sure it's something on the hardware). I reinstalled my OS (and then replaced by another), updated my drivers but nothing changes. Then appears a BSOD evoking the video driver files I try to restart it many times because the screen guard shutted down (in black). Now, the video card is disabled, and it works normally. • Replace the video card on Pavilion m9450f - what "s the orphan?

It probably doesn't matter, except that it is driving me crazy.  I just replaced the graphics card on a m9450f.  The original was a GeForce NVidia 9800 GT with 512 MB of memory, I do not know the manufacturer.  The other, a PNY NVidia Geforce GTX 550Ti jumped to the (yay for empty arrays!) and seems to work very well.

Here's the thing.  The old card, in addition to the connection of normal PIN on the bottom and the normal power at the end of the map, a connection two sons near the front of the card on the side not pinned. A twisted pair red and black fell from there on the edge of the motherboard.  I'm unable to find information on what connection did and why he didn't need to do this on the map again, more powerful. I feel that my IKEA futon will collapse because of the surplus allen screw when I finished editing.

    Can anyone help?

    Hello

The two sons who came from the card would the SPDIF header on the edge of the motherboard.  This allows the motherboard route audio digital HDMI video cards that do not accept no digital audio via the PCI-E slot.

  • Tried to replace the video card integrated with card pci-e x 16 and lost audio - help please

Is this normal - when you replace your car video with a pci-e video card you would lose your sound.  The system I have is a Pavilion a1450n and has 3 pci slots and 1 pci-e.  I changed the pci-e video in the bios and everything is fine, but no sound at all.  When I took out the card then I would sound.

    Please help.

The former system of video seems to give me a little trouble.  He keeps hide and freeze from time to time.  Don't know when that will happen.  But when this happens, a blue screen it freezes or just blanks out and comes back.  It will happen nobody knows.  Everything else works fine.  Hate to give up this old gem - for a lot of software installed to lose.

Thank you all very much for help.

    William

    Hi, William.

Yes, when you have an old PC where the BIOS does not have HDMI.

Your PC thinks that you have installed a sound card and a video card because of the HD audio chip on the video card.

Thus, he disabled the integrated audio system.

    The fix should be easy...

Go into the BIOS of your PC, look at the options menu and find the onboard audio setting.

It will be set to auto or off.

Change the setting to "Enabled". Save the configuration it and yet when you go out (save the settings and exit).

When you restart, you should have the back of Board.

  • Impossible to replace the video card - Pavilion Elite Pro 410 t

    Hello

I have a HP Pavilion Elite Pro 410t with an ATI Radeon to 2 GB video card (I think a 5770 or 5570). I'll call this map.

About 2 weeks ago it started making a noise annoying (sounded like a fan problem).

I have a spare, older, working NVidia card fanless (calling card B) and I swapped it in using the method indicated in the guide of the user/service.

When I turn on the Pavilion, it gives 3 beeps and there is no display, so I think that it does not recognize the video card.

I put the card back in and it works fine, except that the fan sounds bad and I'm not confident, it will last much longer.

I put the B card in another PC (home built) and it works fine.

I tried card B in the Pavilion, making sure it was well set and I get always three beeps.

I even went in the Pavilion BIOS settings to see if there was an option. There is no setting to choose the video card, but there only PCI-E option. Since I'm still just on the PCI-E slot, I left it alone.

So I have a work card (B), but it won't work in the Pavilion for a reason any. Has anyone seen this?

If it's a compatibility issue, is there a specific list of cards that works with my system? Do I have to buy the replacement of HP only? HP offers even replacements of video card for sale?

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Yes, okay.
If you compare the PSU of the HP and the other PC (home built) - are there differences?
Maybe you need more powerful or more efficient power supply?

If you try the other power supply in your HP...?

  • HPE-140F - replacing the video card

    Ok

For the 2nd time in 2 years the video card is bad.

One was replaced under warranty, now that I'm out of warranty, which is a decent replacement?

The original card NVIDIA GEForce GT230, I suppose that HP sent me something similar, if not the same card in replacement.

I do not play but I use Photoshop 4 times a week for an hour if it makes a difference.

    Thank you

    Bill

This videocard Newegg is a suitable replacement.

As a temporary solution, you can delete the original video card to activate and use the on-board Intel H57 HD integrated graphics. Connect your monitor to the video connector on the PC "s I/O bottom of basket where was the video card. You can use the VGA(#5) or DVI - I output (#12).

  • replace the video card in Pavilion m9510f

    Hello

Given that your PC has the GS of NVIDIA 9500 I won't take on your bet. NVIDIA GS9500 replacement program.

Your PC has a 350 watt power supply which is good, but it doesn't have a PCI-E power 6 connector pins for the video card will be limited to the PCI-E slot power.

    $50--->NVIDIA GT 430 9.6 Gbps - single slot width

    $65--->NVIDIA GT 520 8 Gbps - single slot width

    $80--->NVIDIA GT 440 25.6 GB/s - single slot width

$130-->NVIDIA GT 54543 Gbit/s - single slot width - might be difficult to find but perhaps only in the store

Review the performance of NVIDIA specifications. Look at the specifications of strip memory bandwidth and level of DirectX support.

The 440 GT might be your best choice.

An older but great video card is NVIDIA GT 240 1 GB DDR5. This card does not support DirectX 10, which is eventually used in some of the latest PC games but it's a great performer.

  • replacing the video card?

I have a pavilion media center m8000. I think that I have problems with the video card. The screen would lock up when I am on the internet with a strange pattern showing. It starts past more often and now when I start my computer that I get the hang of the screen when I try to log in. I tried a different monitor and get the same problem.  I think the problem is with my video card which I think is integrated on the motherboard. I think I can add a dedicated video card because there is an open slot. My problem is that I don't know what kind of card I need. Can someone help me know what kind of card I need?  We don't use the computer for the wide pores of game. Thank you

Thanks for the reply, but I think I solved the problem. One of my friends who is a lot more, computer savvy helped work me through the problem. He helped me find a diagram of my motherboard and determine what type of connection, I had in my slot open on my motherboard. I ended up going to Best Buy with the description and diagram of my motherboard and the type of system, I currently have and bought a resonably inexpensive video card. So far, the thiings work well and my daughter even said that his favorite game is a bit faster.  The main reason why I have problems figuing was what to buy because my original video card has been integrated to the motherboard.

I fixed today, but never had time to put a second post I solved my problem. But thanks for the help anyway.

Is there maybe a better replacement?

If you route output digital audio HDMI then theNVIDIA GT 440adapter would also be a good choice.
