  Apex 4.1.
  
  I have a form of the apex. When the user clicks a button on this page, it redirects to another page and the user can select a value from a list of values (Group of Radio buttons) and when the user click on the "Done" button on the second page, I'm again redirect to the front page and what needs to happen is the selected value in the second page should be set to a text field in the first page (parent). How can I do this, I tried the following,.
  
  (1) on the second page (list of values), I added a process to get the selected value and set it to the field of the 1st page (Page Item)
  (2) I created a branch to redirect to the first page when the user hit "Done" button and in the branch options, I gave the order of the day of the 1st page (at what value need to be defined) and the value selected in the second page.
  (3) in both methods, after redirection back to (1) parent Page, I checked the value of this particular text field page element, and it had the value selected in page 2. but still, it was did not update the user interface.
  
  Really grateful if someone can help on this.

  Some things could happen...

  1. your text field still has its source type by replacing the value and is overwhelming everything you set the value on.
  2. on your second page, you do not use the branch that you think that you use to return to the first page.
  3. your branch to the first page is clear the cache on the first page.

• Interactive report with the subreport Details on the same page

  Hi all
  
  I am fairly new to APEX, sorry if my question is too obvious. I use Apex 4.0.2 on top of Oracle 11.2.
  
  I have an interactive report that lists the contents of a table. Since there are a lot of columns in this table I would like the report to only show that some identifier columns and all of the currently selected folder is displayed using another report in a separate area on the same page.
  
  The 'link' on the interactive report column is almost that, except that he jumps on another page; I would just like to have a subreport, updated with the data that is selected instead of a new page is displayed. Does anyone know how to do?

  This looks like what I usually do in my referential data.

  I use the wizard to create the "report."

  I make sure that the two regions (the form and report) will be created on the same page number

  so I check/change the order of regions (second report in the first place, form)

  then I put in the form to display in the column 2

  I can: on the proposed transfer screen, when the employee leaves the company, the LOV will not show LOV resigned employee used: select name d, r id emp1oyee where superior (status) = 'ACTIVE' order by 1
  
  do not know how: need to show the name employees resigned using the report link. The report link is back to the same page that created the assignment. How I accompolish cela by displaying the laid off employee name not the ID?
  
  Ex: p10 (shape) has the lov with active employees. P11 has a report of all project assignments. When I jump from the link provided in p11 P10, the recovery must display the name of the (unidentified) employee the same topic is complete.

  Ah, I've got get it now.

  My thought would be to change your LOV code to something in the sense of the following:

  select name||' ('||status||')' d, id r
  from employees
  where id = :P10_ID
    and upper(status) <> 'ACTIVE'
  union all
  select name d, id r
  from employee
  where upper(status) = 'ACTIVE'
  

  This should give you what you are looking for.

  Can you please create a branch under after instruction processing, you can see the same page itself. So, after the removal of the process, it will come to the same page.

  I'm doing a vi where I save the selected value from the ListBox with values respective tab control dropdown selected in another list box. Whenever I select Item1 can change of course and the respective tab will be open for this element. But now I want to just save the selection and put it into another ListBox.SO I can't renmove or add my wishes. Please help me.

  You can retrieve the value selected in the PivotFilterBar through the PivotFilterBar model, instead of dataaccess:

  Download the template of the bar pivot filter instance
  QueryDescriptior queryDescriptor = (QueryDescriptor) pivotFilterBar.getValue ();

  retrieve a list of criterion, each of them is used to fill each lov in the pivot filter bar
  ConjunctionCriterion conjunctionCriterion = queryDescriptor.getConjunctionCriterion ();
  List criterionList = conjunctionCriterion.getCriterionList ();
  for (int i = 0; i)<_criterionList.size(); i++)="">
  AttributeCriterion = (AttributeCriterion) criterionList.get (i) criterion.

  _selected is the currently selected value
  Selected object = criterion.getValues () .get (0);

• How to do a partial update of a form and a report on the same page?

  Hi all

  Im trying to make a page where you have a report on the top, and when you click on the link instead go to the form page, the form on the page is on the bottom of the report. Let's say that im trying to send an id from the report to the item below so that I could go get the rest of the element. However when I pass, other elements would still refer to it as null.

  If I am not wrong it could be done with the quote, but I want it to be partial refresh...

  I tried the steps detailed here, but it didn't work when the lower part is an also a report:

  If so, you must create a dynamic action with a javascript action to set the id of the report line in the form of code field and further action from pl/sql to retrieve the record based on the identification number. You can use this record to set the shape of other items in the field.

  I was wondering if you could have any link or examples to show how to make a form with report and a form of inclusion in the same page, these two forms are related to the same table. Our customer wants that a user can add a new row to the table in a form and see all lines created by this user in a report, the report should provide link change as well. the problem is: whenever I inserted a new line or change a line or delete a line, and submitted and return to this page, all hidden elements lost their values, this report is empty, and some display only items also lost their values. Could someone give me any suggestions?

  So, the problem is essentially with page elements lose their session state values when re-loading of the page. How do you define values for the elements of the hidden page? You have default values defined for those? They are based on the database column? What is the "Source" parameter for these items on the page? It is set to "Always, replace any value in session state"? You have any process of 'Empty the Cache', which is reset these values to null element?

  What is your version of the Apex?

  I would recommend that you have installed for example in apex.oracle.com. This would help to better understand the issue.

  In the model line, you can use #1 #, 2 # #, etc. to indicate where a field in the report should be released. It doesn't have to be clear - that is to say, you can use it in style tags if you wish.

  So take a query such as:

  SELECT EMPNO,
  ENAME,
  DEPTNO,
  DECODE(DEPTNO, 10, 'green', 20, 'red', 30, 'cyan', 'white') BG_COLOUR
  FROM EMP
  

  You get the column 1 = empno, 2 = ename, 3 = deptno and 4 = bg_colour. In the model line, you can then do:

  Before defining lines (implements the table):

  <table>
  <tr><td>ID</td><td>Name</td><td>Dept</td></tr>
  

  After setting (farm table) lines:

  </table>
  

  Model 1 (used for all lines) line:

  <tr style="background-color:#4#;"><td>#1#</td><td>#2#</td><td>#3#</td></tr>
  

  Then, for each row, the color that has been calculated by using the DECODE function is used in the style tag for color the background of the whole line.

  How to determine the colors, it's you. I used DECODE here, but you can use a field on the DEPT table to hold and use it in your SQL statement.

  I have a report that contains a name I want to move to a field in a form on a different region on the same page.
  My button on the report was her own column called ADD_LINK. This is the button. "< id button ="apexir_btn_ADD"class =" button apexir "type ="button"value ="Add"onclick =" "> < span > </span > Add < / button >.

  Its market not now and I did in the region never delete because you use the same area for the two remove hide/show the corresponding keys.

  I wonder how you can display different values for the same column in different columns on the same line. For example, using a CASE statement, I can:

  CASE WHEN CODE NOT IN ('1 ', am') THEN COUNT (ID) AS "N".
  
  Yes, that will produce two columns but will produce null values to empty and also two separate registers.

  Are you sure that this code works for you?

  Select ID
           ,CASE WHEN MODE_CODE IN ('1', '3') THEN COUNT( No) END as "Fulltime"
           ,CASE WHEN MODE_CODE NOT IN ('1', '3') THEN COUNT( No ) END  as "Other"
  From table
  group by ID
  

  I guess the code above fails because MODE_CODE is not in your group by?

  My suggestion would be to put the CASE in the COUNT:

  Select ID
           ,COUNT(CASE WHEN MODE_CODE IN ('1', '3') THEN No END) as "Fulltime"
           ,COUNT(CASE WHEN MODE_CODE NOT IN ('1', '3') THEN No END)  as "Other"
  From table
  group by ID
  

  CASE expressions return no. when the respective conditions are true and NULL otherwise.
  COUNTY will have non-null values.
