  My OBIEE version is 11.1.1.7.0 years have a cube ASO in Essbase 11.1.2 as my source.

  There is a calculated member ASO which retreival in reports is time consuming.

  Optimization measures proposed to reduce the wait times in OBIEE.

  PS - We have integration Hyperion OBIEE in place already.

  The heads-up on the improvement of the performance would be a great help.

  OBIEE has many ways optimized:

  1. you can use the OBIEE cache management, hitting the first time the ESSBASE CUBE and the second time the OBIEE hit the cache, it improve your processing time.

  2. in your maybe views that you have limited the main information, I mean, OBIEE is a web application bi and if you try to pretend to get a lot of lines, this might give you some problems, as a work around you could limit your opinion, in your 'LINES PER PAGE' properties, and as a work around if you want to get a large amount of data that you download it.

  

  2. If points 1 and 2 shall not apply to your needs, perhaps to think, to use the cache of essbase optimization

  A few examples:

  If the VM reserved vRAM is set between 0-50% of allocated, bills to a minimum of 50% usage meter.

  Example 1:

  Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

  VRAM reserved: 0GO

  Billing vRAM: 2 GB (min 50%)

  Example 2:

  Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

  VRAM reserved: 1 GB

  Billing vRAM: 2 GB (min 50%)

  Example 3:

  Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

  VRAM reserved: 2 GB

  Billing vRAM: 2 GB (min 50%)

  If the VM reserved vRAM are configured between 51 and 100% of allocated, bills to real rate usage meter.

  Example 4:

  Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

  VRAM reserved: 2.5 GB

  Billing vRAM: 2.5 GB (min 50%)

  Example 5:

  Allocated vRAM: 4 GB

  VRAM reserved: / 3 GB

  If you use vCloud Director in your service provider configuration, please know the model of distribution of VDC which is used by your customers and understand Pay As You Go model of default allocation to 100% booked vRAM unless amended by the service provider.  What this means is that, unless changed, each deployed virtual machine will be clocked at 100% reserve vRAM and use of the virtual machine will be charged similar to example 6.

  Also, using the global billing report, make sure you enter the Cape by MV 24576 (24 GB) memory whose size limit that bills VMware against.  Customers can deploy larger virtual machines, but VMware caps the size to the accusation.  If there are virtual machines more than 24 GB, you would see a difference in the Total global VRAM and vRAM total billing where vRAM total billing would be less.

  Note: Column names can be terribly confused and we approach this more other customer feedback in the next release scheduled for Q1 2012.  Please refer to the GBA as vRAM Total total = Total billed without vRAM memory CAP and total billing = Total vRAM charged vRAM with memory of Cap.  Also be aware that the global billing report also has the calculation of vRAM booking already built since it was taken into account at the time of collection.  This report shows just gross GB use by license type for the month.  You will still need to factor in the number of hours in the month and by type of license points, but refer to you aggregators instructions on how to do it.

  How are you using the consumption meter to charge your customers back and you are not using vCenter Chargeback Manager?  The measure of consumption is designed for VMware for use of meter service provider and does not factor in other services and features allowing service providers to their customers?

  You will see other reports of this here - the stamp of date/time Configuration table is only used for failover (i.e. If systems can keep these parameters in harmony in all of boxes). If you use integrated security, and get this, then there is a problem. If you do not use this security, then there is nothing to worry about here.

  You can manually update the LastModifiedTime column for the rows in this table if you want to go further without worrying about the error. See the release notes for this bug for more details:

  Need advice with regard to the selection of software and the physical layout. I was invited to present reports on the use of the internet;

  We havcusco cisco 4500.

  Our ISP router's router 3400 metro (fiber to Ethernet media converter).

  We have the ISP that is connected to a port on the 4500 in vlan 99, users are in vlan (using a gateway to virtual layer 3) 44.

  If I want to make just a quick capture could I just simply connect a workstation with wireshark to a port on the 4500 and place this port in vlan 99?

  If so I guess that the same theory would work with the tool as bandwidthD which is best suited to long term capture and has a nice pretty GUI for my manager?

  Bit confused as to whether I need a mirror or span port configuration.

  You need to configure SPAN with VLAN 99 as a source and the port that your workstation in question is connected to the destination. Otherwise most of the traffic will never reach the workstation considered.

• Dynamic action not updated report every time

  It is not that I expect to do the report (it is not updating the table). I have the following:

  -Field of application event: I tried as well bind & live

  The value of P10_SNAPVAL is changed whenever the user place an icon of Penguin (this works because the graphic works).

  Anyone know why my current setup does not work with the table/how fix?

• Preloader freezes randomly - problem reported by many users in this forum.

  I made an animation on the society 20141 CC edge I work, I was always testing locally and everything was fine. When I finished the animation and decided to load on the server, I realized after testing with different browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc), the animation freezes in preloader randomly. When I click on "Refresh" the animation loads normally, most of the time. : /
