  Worst case, you can resell, install a server on it, operating system etc and put it in your living room to show off :)  The case of CaseLabs looks cool, but you'll have to do the same kind of work at home get compatible (and inter compatible) parts for it.

  As I said, there is a good chance that everything will be installed and working fine... just to prepare for the unknown, when venturing off the beaten path.  If you have someone knowledgeable who can at least get you headed down a direction where there is a visibility for success, it would be useful... good luck!

  Hello-

  Anyone know how to upgrade R610 so that I can install 2012 from the BIOS?

  I tried as 'other' to F10 and it failed with pilot errors. I tried to update the firmware with the management of the ISO and the same thing happened.

  Is there a method I'm missing?

  The R610 takes in 2012. You tried to start directly on the support of 2012? Looks like you were trying to use a Dell OS installation disc.

  What happens when you start Media?

  Also, have you tried to install it using the lifecycle controller (F10 on screen Dell)?

• Beep card mother/CPU Dell Inspiron 530 problem

  Hi all!

  I recently acquired an Inspiron 530 G33M02 motherboard with a Dual-Core of E7300 processor.  It worked for a few hours while I was updating windows (my brother had not used for 2 years before), but then all of a sudden the screen empties and computer was turned off.

  To try to restart, the powerbutton lit amber, fans would move for a fraction of a second, and the green light would go on feeding.  I tried the power supply in another computer and it worked while I also installed an another working power known in the Inspiron 530 with the same results.  In research, this lead me to believe the motherboard was bad.

  I have order a new traction (taken before using it on a new computer) on ebay and installed.  Now, I'm getting 7 beeps at the station.  It would point to a faulty processor?  I would limit until I have spend more money on a new processor.

  To know if it is the processor, you will need to install in a "known" compatible work computer, or replace it with a compatible CPU "Known", as it is difficult to distinguish a faulty processor of a faulty motherboard.

  While you can make an informed diagnosis, troubleshooting, the complexity of the components, it is sometimes diagnosis by substitution.

• "lack of Member" PERC server Dell Poweredge 2500 3/di start table

  Help!  Beginner in need of wisdom.  Knew lot of two drives (one in each table) until you restart.  Notice the message in the BIOs and changed the discs indicated without DISCONNECTION.  We rebuild with problem but that of the table of the BONE (0) will not rebuild.  Cannot figure out how in the world to access the controls for the system to know that the drive has been changed.  This system works, just slow down (half the readers in this table).  Management software has not been installed correctly and it is old.  IT Assistant is obsolete, but does not open and the one who took his place is not present.  I get a message that says that the table server is not installed.  I know, it's a nightmare.  Is there a brave soul who pities the old man trying to help?  I'm ready to learn, but have a long way to go.

  Yes we do, the real problem is I want to start my server with flash drive, I don't want to use the hard drive for OS, HARD drive for storage and the flash drive for OS.
