  My problem has been resolved.

  Previously, the problem with "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor BETA.

  I waited two months - now, I executed the Adviser again, resulting in "an important upgrade".

  And guess: update Advisor works like a rocket, finishing with a nice report with minor problems.

  So I think that the problem was a "Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor" - problem - not a HP computer laptop-problem.

  Last week, I got my Windows 7 Upgrade DVD from Toshiba. I'm leaving has upgrade and after 5 hours, the upgrade was complete. I have encountered a problem that the automated driver installed on the endgame wrong on the update of the BIOS because it is trying to write the backup file of the BIOS on the DVD. After a lot of pressure on the keys, I managed to get the installation to carry and then did the BIOS manually updated later. This succeeded and it updated to V4.80.

  I upgraded my Satellite Pro L300 Windows Vista to Windows 7 a few months back, now, I noticed the Player DVD no longer works! All ok in Device Manager, but the habit of reading anything.

  I have use a Toshiba Windows 7 upgrade disk that could be my problem. I used the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and Windows 7 Ultimate disc.

  I tried to download and install the latest Windows 7 32 bit DVD Toshiba drivers but still no joy.

  Can someone advise procedure I should follow to correct, if I need to downgrade back to Vista, hope not!

  Drive HARD recovery does not work because Win 7 ran the Boot Manager and maybe the HDD partition has been affected.

  I have a dv5-1150us, trying to upgrade Windows Vista 64 for Windows 7 64. I installed the following driver for the quick launch buttons:

  I run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor, it indicates that the system is clean and can be upgraded. I then run the actual setup, and it does not level because of "keyboard" incompatible driver. From what I've read 6.50.3.1 is the latest driver and it should work.

  Any ideas? Should I uninstall the quick launch buttons first, do the upgrade and then reinstall under Windows 7?
