Resale of Windows 7

Hello

I bought a disc of Windows 7 Upgrade Amazon. However, my Dell Lap top doesn't have the graphics capability to manage the operating system, so I had to go back to XP. This is why I would like to sell the disc of Windows 7. I'm sure that I don't activate during installation but are not sure.

Is there a was to confirm if this version has not been activated, so allow me to sell?

Thank you very much

Only way to confirm is to install and try to activate it.

    Hi AhmedChowdhury,

    1. Yes. If you install Windows 7 on this computer have the Vista DVD and its product key / license that you can not use it as an installation legitimate anywhere else using this product key. or keep it in case you want to roll back to Vista, which I doubt as you'd like!

    2. that Microsoft OEM Vista DVD will contain the files to install the various editions of Vista; Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate. Microsoft retail Vista DVD will do the same. The only problem is that the 32 bit and 64 bit Vista editions come on different DVDs.

But with respect to the sale of a DVD of Vista without product key, computer owners can make their own or buy DVDs of recovery for their computer model OF the manufacturer, at a cheap price anyway.

And if their friends have a DVD Microsoft, Microsoft NOTES not Sanyo, Toshiba DVD, they can copy their DVD friends for nothing.

  • resale of Windows 7 upgrade

OK, I bought the upgrade from Best Buy program, installed and registered, then started having a few problems with something I made, (not the program itself) clean computer technology erased from my hard drive and installed a different version of Windows 7, (not the same that I registered) I wish now to sell the program I bought to recover some of the money I spent. I understand that I can resell, and the new owner should have no problem as long as it has been removed from my computer. How can I ensure this? How can I cancel my install of this license number?

First check the current product key which is in use on your computer, here are a few utilities, which will display your product keys:

If the in use product key does not match the key to upgrade Best Buy (check the map inside the plastic box), then you can sell it. Make sure you include the two DVDs (32/64 bit), COA / product key and other material. Inform the owner that the activation of the phone will be necessary since you have already activated the product using the key provided.

No, it doesn't have the right to sell you software NFR and if he hid this information, then its wrong.

Your best decision is to try to get the refund by the dealer, then report him. If it doesn't, don't threaten them. Simply report them to ebay and report to Microsoft Piracy.

  • Windows 7 upgrade retail - resale

I bought the box (manufacturer FQC-00130) upgrade Windows 7 Pro (retail) a few years ago in a store. Supplied with discs X 15 - 60531-01 & x 15-60530-01 with a certificate of authenticity.

Don't know where I installed it but it is not installed on any computer now. If it was on a computer, I never sold this computer and/or I have erased the disk security.

If I sell this on eBay, can be used again by someone else who has XP or Vista on their computers & use certificate of authenticity included?

  • HP Probook 470 G1: update to Windows 10

Originally, the PC came with Windows 8
    I've updated to 8.1
And I want to know if there is a problem also update 10

And I wanted to know about recovery option,
I discovered after the update 8.1 recovery does not,
Whether it will be after the update 10?

So how do you restore the recovery to normal?

    Thank you

You can use the snap-snap-in management of Windows disk to enable the recovery partition if you want to make an image recovery plant. As long as the recovery partition is still present, the possibility of using it still exists.

Once you make it active and restart the computer, it should boot straight into the Recovery Manager. Don't do it unless you really need to run a recovery.

In the Recovery Manager, you can perform the factory image recovery.

You can use a third-party program to create an image on a support of external storage to use for emergencies in 8.1 for Windows or Windows 10.

My preference for training ISO image is of software Paeragon disk copy or disk management utilities.

You can also use clean Windows built in refreshment of imaging utility of creation to create an image in Windows 8, 8.1 or the next Windows 10. Read the tutorial at the following ADDRESS.

  • Reset the factory settings and Take Back up to 8.1 Windows

    Hello

I have an older 17 inch HP DV7 laptop which is still in very good condition. Currently, it has a minimum on it software and is for Windows 8.1.

I would like however to wipe back to factory settings which bring to Windows Vista, I think, but I put it to update all the way up to 8.1 Windows online.

How can I then bring it back up to 8.1 so I have a chance to try to sell for a few hundred dollars.  I don't want these windows licenses more as I have since bought another laptop and bought all the software out there.

or do I just take the chance and leave with Vista and see if someone wants to and that he organized to upgrade themselves.

I don't know how to find the relevant licenses for 7 and 8 now on this laptop.

    Thank you

    Trish

    Hi Trish,

If you post the complete model number, we can look it up on the card to see what came with the laptop.

It should also have a Windows sticker on the bottom or in the battery compartment that will tell what was the operating system.

If you upgraded each time through Microsoft online, then they would have sent you a key for every new update in your email. At least you reached a physical disk to load from who should have a key in the case somewhere.

    8.1 update from 8 doesn't have a key.

Did you burn your original recovery disks before you start the upgrade?

You will need those to return the laptop to factory. Although you still have the recovery partition in place on the disk, the bond that him was probably broken when you upgraded. If so, you will not be able to access the recovery at Startup Manager via the function key.

Improvements to the OS you have purchased and installed in the computer is not good on this laptop and not another computer.

If you have the possibility to return the operating system to original but do not have access to the improvements now, I don't worry about this. Resale value on old systems are weak despite everything.

If you do not have your recovery discs, you can load a regular copy of Vista (if you can get one) and use the key on the sticker that is located on the laptop to install it. You will need to enter the drivers online first and then save them so that you can install after.

  • Is it still possible to get the 64-bit Windows Vista support?

    Hello!

Well, I have a copy to authentic detail, under license of Windows Vista Edition Home Premium. He put 32 bit media. But at the time when Vista comes out, I could order the 64-bit Vista Home Premium support which I use today with the same license key that came on the parcel.
About a year ago I bought the Windows Vista Express upgrade, which is valid for a Home Premium to Ultimate upgrade. But the disk is 32-bit only! So, I was wondering if it is still possible to get the 64-bit separately, support only this time, for the edition of Vista Ultimate? I ask this question because I would like to upgrade to Vista Ultimate, but still run on 64-bit, since I can't spend 64-bit Home Premium to Ultimate 32 - bit.
I know that it may be too late now, given the fact that Windows 7 is already out and Windows 8 is in its phase of consumer preview now. But I am not really interested in upgrading to one of them at this stage. All I really want is just to upgrade to Vista Ultimate, but I need the 64-bit support, since I already have the license key.
Maybe that Microsoft may allow me to download an ISO image of the Vista Ultimate 64-bit? That would be good enough for me, I don't care for the physical disc, it is not really necessary. I could get some pirate site or something like that, since I already own not one but two licenses, but I don't want that.
    Thanks in advance!

The disks are probably non-destinee resale and this may explain the color.

The Express Upgrade product key is specific to an upgrade from Home Premium to Ultimate.  The product key with the expedition is probably a full license key.

    > By 'Matrix Vista upgrade', you mean upgrading one bit-version to the other, like 64-bit to 32-bit or 32-64, right?

N ° upgrade matrix tells you if an upgrade installation is allowed or a custom installation is required when moving from one edition of Windows to another.

    > Also, if I use a key Vista Home Premium that I have today to install Home Premium and then upgrade to Vista Ultimate, what happenes to my old key? The old key become invalid/replaced by the new key that I got the update? I mean where I want to go back to the old edition, I've had to go back to Vista Home Premium, I reuse this old key?

You can use the old key to return to the old edition.  However, you can not use the key to install the old edition on a different computer.  The old key is bound to the key to upgrade.

    > "" If a user is running a 32-bit version of Windows, a user can only be upgraded to another 32-bit version: upgrade from 32 bit to 64 bit requires a clean installation. ""

Now you are confusing a "install update" with an 'upgrade license '.  A retail upgrade license is valid to move from a 32-bit edition to a 64-bit edition, but an upgrade installation is not allowed and a custom installation is required (due to the change in the number of bits of the installation).

    > And now Microsoft will probably speed up the versions of Windows, with new versions coming out every two years or more, or has done.

Not true.  Microsoft has been on a cycle of three years for a long time.  There is no speed upward.  Vista has been delayed for two years, when Microsoft declared a moratorium until security problems in Windows have been fixed (XP SP2 was the result).

    > I don't know about Windows 7. I don't know if I'll get it or wait for Windows 8. I hear a lot of misfortunes for Windows 7

I don't know where you got this info.  Windows 7 is much better than Vista or XP.  Vista is the one that is panned by critics as a real dog.  Try Windows 7 and you will never look back.
