Reset blackBerry Smartphones by removing the battery

My experience (using the torch) in 4 months was that there was a battery pull to reset the phone. I don't think it's a very good idea, my phone will last far too long in this way, the back cover will be replaced at any time earlier that I expect (2-3 years on my other phones). Y at - it another way for this reset the thing as a software trigger, etc. I don't remember having to do this way in my other phones before.

I think you can be looking for the simulated battery pull method or restart.  I use this (if necessary) when I have my AGF GRT case on my Torch (usually weekend).

To restart without pulling on the battery or a 3rd party app:

Hold down the ALT key, then press right SHIFT and DELETE keys at the same time. Until the red light appears, then release all keys.  This restarts your device and works on all devices with a standard QWERTY keyboard.  There are also applications 3rd party who will accomplish the same thing, but I think it works for me.  I hope this helps. ~ ecm

PS: I don't think you need to address why you're attending battery pulls.  I usually go without pulls/reboots unless I'm upgrading of operating system or adding / removing apps & themes.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones cannot remove the name of the audio album

I struggled to upload audio files to my BB Curve 8330 and had to remove several albums of songs because they do not play. Now, I downloaded the files that are going to play, but the name of the album (which include some songs) is still there. One of them downloaded the first time as a name and the second time than another, so I have two albums with very similar names; We're working and the other is empty. How can I delete album names once the folder/album songs have been erased?

    Hello

Without the help of Roxio, try the following.

Hang the BB to the PC and launch workstation.

Map of the media should look like a flash drive.

First, save the map media for security.

Look in each folder and delete all files named BBTHUMBS.

Find the name of the audio album you're trying to remove, make a note of the type of file and delete.

    Disconnect. Do a battery pull:

No data will be lost when you do the following: remove the battery while the device is activated. Remplacer replace after one minute, let the device reboot 1-5 min. This will allow the BB for re index songs, without the BBthumbs.

See if the name of the album 'Phantom' is still there.
    Thank you

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot remove the old emails

I had my auto delete on the device set at 15 days since I got it.  Recently I scolled back expected I'd be searching through 15 days of messages.  Instead, I found that I had old messages as in last October.  I managed to delete messages in January, February and March, but I could not delete messages in 2008.  I changed automatic removal at 30 days Beach, no difference.  I restarted the unit with the battery several times.  Any thoughts on this phenomenon?

Of course, it comes to connect the BlackBerry to your computer with the mini-usb cable and using the Desktop Manager software. Since in the Desktop Manager, you can go in the backup and restore icon, and then click the Advanced button. On the right, you will see the BlackBerry databases. You can select the database of Messages, and then click the clear button.

This to erase all messages (e-mail, PIN, SMS) between the unit and should solve the problem.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones very turned the battery life?

I don't know if this is related to this person load problems (http://supportforums.blackberry.com/rim/board/message?board.id=9500&thread.id=292), but the battery on my Storm is very short.  I've got two days now, and before I returned to the House after being outside all day, the battery is dead.  The previous two nights, I've had it load for more than 8 hours before you leave home.

It's not heavy use.  I left it in a locker for 8 hours on Saturday, and when I got back he was dead.  I had to do House to recharge before that I could check the messages for days.

    Certainly, this cannot be normal.

a number of things to try. Keep it in the host when not in service and also ensure bluetooth is not on (enabled) when you don't need. I loaded mine Friday, played with it on and outside since and only recharged the battery today (Sunday afternoon).

You would like to "auto turn off it ' when you're in bed, which should help you save for the time you are at the top and on the stack. Final thought, most mobile phone (not lithiul ion) need a battery charge complete continuous 16 to 24 hours before disconnecting the charger - I suppose that you did when you got it?

    I hope this helps.

  • BlackBerry smartphones cannot remove the weather bug

    Would appreciate anyone's help.

I downloaded WeatherBug App World, but decided to replace it with the Weather Channel app.  When I clicked on delete, he seemed to go through all the right motions and said restart the removal of WeatherBug is complete.

After reboot, the icon of WeatherBug was always in the downloads folder, but had a green arrow back under him and is labeled: (WeatherBug archived).   Hoping that it would help, I turned it off and took out the battery for about 30 minutes, but the icon is still there.   I went through all these steps on two different days to make sure I did it correctly.

This archived icon does not have an option to remove - only to hide or move.  Anyone know what I can do?

I don't know if he's still looking to run in the context or what.

    Thank you for all time.

When you buy via AppWorld apps and then remove them, he leaves behind him this icon and archives of the app. You tackle MyWorld, you can remove it from there and that should remove the shortcut icon (which is just that... a reactivation of the app from AppWorld shortcut). Sometimes a good sweater-batt restart after removal of AppWorld, helps to eliminate an application.

    Hope that helps!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones how remove the caliper from the country.

    Hello

    Mine is 8900.

Given the blocking of the country, I can't use it in other countries, regions. I am in Netherlands and frequently travel to other continents.

Does anyone know how to remove the lock of the country?

Your comments and advice would be much appreciated.

sdgardne is correct, that you want to contact your provider for assistance.  You will also get a new SIM from TMobile card.  Other people have discovered that in some cases, old SIM cards are not working 100% in BlackBerry devices, but once that they swap the SIM card, they have no more problems, and he can use his device as you would expect.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BBM drains the battery without the use of telephone (proof)

(I have a PRIV BB running the latest update of Marshmallow).

    BBM drains the battery.

I took my PRIV off lunch charger yesterday and weather scheduled 7: 00 the next day morning, that the battery has been completely drained by BBM.

NOTE IMPORTANT: I did not receive all the BBM messages during this time - sent no BBM messages during this time - didn't even open BBM Meanwhile - didn't even use my phone during this time (I just left it autour sitting in the living room)

Function checking the battery charge shows that in this period, BBM consumed 40% of my battery (the order of the day closer to you that consumed power was Android OS, but only 8%)

Here are a few screenshots of the evidence (I've included the statistics pages for following little applications on the list for comparison):

    • with a few OSes 5.0.X.X, BBm is a basic application and cannot be deleted.
    • BUT the other OSes, the BBm 5.0.X.X became an addon application and can be removed. (i.e. 5.0.0.43 6 and 5.0.0.462)

If you have the first category OS, I suggest you try and install BBm for example using AppWorld. Perhaps by upgrading BBm, it will become an add-on.

  • Desktop blackBerry Smartphones BB removes the tasks completed on the handheld?

It does when I have them marked as complete in Outlook 2003.  I prefer to keep them on the handheld and just hide it as filled with tasks.  Can I do this and what set?  It seems to be just remove them from your handheld; not Outlook. At least that's what it says in the "details to confirm tasks changes dialog box.

I put to notify conflicts, but it tells me that it will remove these tasks completed of the handheld until I'm in the 'confirm edit tasks"and"Details to confirm tasks changes dialog."

You're right about the difference between settings. If it were me, I would try the suggestions you mentioned, especailly since we are talking only about 6 tasks. Is the PC you runnning with XP or Vista?

I just upgraded to OS 5 and according to the icons of the screen, I have 2 unread email messages.  This is not correct, but I have an email account where I got messages on the device before updating, but now I can't remove them and I think that the two issues are linked.  The email seems to work OK otherwise - just can't get rid of these old messages!
