Resizing images using windows photo gallery live
I use library windows live and am resizing of TIFF images that are about 50 MB in size. I want to be able to choose the size of MB, but the Application it in reduced connection between 2 to 4 MB. Should we accept the size?
If you try to reduce the size of the file to free up space on your hard drive...
changing the file format of the photos in JPEG format can be worth a try. That
will significantly reduce the size of the file without the need to reduce the pixel
Dimensions.

Just one question... when done scanning and recording of the scans...
you select the options to reduce the file size by compressing
the photos? If you have only a few of these scans... you could open their
one at a time in Windows Paint and go to... File / save as...
Enter a new name, choose a backup folder and choose .jpg.
This will create a new version of the same photo and I suspect
It will be compatible with Windows Photo Gallery.Also... it may be interesting to try to install Windows Live Photo Gallery.

Reorganization of images using Windows Photo Gallery
Hello, I have Windows 7 on my laptop. I recently downloaded the latest version of the Windows Photo Gallery on my machine and he used to edit and organize my photos. I now have lots of photos selected in a file. Then I tried to re - order the photos by dragging individual photos in another post, which would put them out of chronological order. The program wouldn't let me do that, even if I tried the slide show mode. I tried a tab in various screens, but could not come through all that would allow me to do. How is it possible without painstakingly rename each picture?
Thank youLenDamn, some more complications. We were on a Holland America Cruise ship recently and I attended seminars put on by the techie edge and we had to use a bunch of machines with Windows 8 on them. There, it was so easy to rearrange photos, put captions, categories etc on them as well as a lot of other interesting things such as Pan photos, photo editing, etc. For me, it's a lot of things Photoshop does than maybe not to the same extent. Now you have concerned me! I quickly skimmed the link you mentioned, and it seems that the deactivation of the reorganization could cause some problems so I'm hesitant to try it. Especially when you say, "Proceed at your own risk" and "good luck".
Questions arise:(1) if I go back to the reorganization, all my photos in the photo gallery Windows will return to the agreement prior to the photos or not. It's a real problem if I spend hours reorganization of my photos.(2) if I turn off the reorganization, it will also affect the pictures in my Gallery of picture-taking.It may be preferable for me to upgrade to Windows 8, even if I don't have touch capability. Checking online, I see that it will cost about $120 to upgrade to Windows 7. I'm the Canada so there may be a completely different price. What is your opinion... it's worth it to upgrade? I know that the free sort option is available. Understand there are other improvements too, such a best Windows Live Mail email program. I had thought of before upgrading, but I also remember reading that it will soon be upgrading to Windows 8 (due to some defects or gaps) so if I download the current Windows 8, I could pay for a program that is close to being obsolete.Thank you for your time.Len=============================================

Cannot open a pictures using Windows Photo Gallery
BAD WINDOWS PHOTO GALLERY!
My Windows Photo Gallery says it cannot open the image because it is used by another program? I'm trying to save some pictures of fotoflexer, he saves but the pic appears blank in the folder when I try to see...
1. I don'thave open other programs
2. I can see the other images that are saved on my computer
Can someone help me with this problem? I had no trouble using windows photo gallery it any other time so far...
Hi MsNesha,What is the exact message you get?As the message States, it could be used by fotoflexer. A probability is, after you have changed the images that you would not have saved it in fotoflexer.Close the fotoflexer application after you save the photos and then try to view the photos edited in Windows Live Photo Gallery. If the problem persists, you can remove (delete) the photos published of fotoflexer and then make a folder and paste and he discovers via the Windows Photo Gallery.See also:Windows Photo Gallery: frequently asked questions

Scanning old Photos using Windows Photo Gallery
I am digitizing my old family pictures using Windows Photo Gallery, but each individual image that is scanned is saved as its own folder in images. Obviously, I would save each individual image as a file/thumbnail to a named folder.
I've been in Options/File/Import, but it does not seem possible to save it to a file.
Any ideas?

Unable to print only one page in a multiple page / image tiff file using Windows Photo Gallery
IT seems that for Windows Vista Photo Gallery is able to display multiple images in a TIFF file format when printing, but it does not select the image to be printed. Whenever I print a tiff image file two pages to print. Since most of my photos are in TIFF format, and each contains two images one by one another at a reduced resolution and normal resolution I'm only interested in printing the first image and not the second. I really don't want to convert all my photos in a different format. Does anyone know if there is a setting to fix this?
Hi KKosin
Welcome to the Microsoft Vista answers Forum!
I suggest measures are:
1. try to print the image in MS Paint, steps to follow:
i. Click Start, in the search box, type in the paint
II. open the document to print
III. click on print and check
2. change the format of an image file and check if this problem is still happening. You can change the type of file to the JPEG/JPG format. Steps to follow:
i. right click on the file type
II. select Rename
III. the extension .jpg or .jepg replace
IV. and then try to print

Bad error message Image in Windows Photo Gallery
Need help a.s.a.p., please!A few months ago my Windows Photo Gallery has suddenly stopped working and a pop-up box is came (and is still). The TOP of the box says: WindowsPhotoGallery.exe - bad Image. INSIDE of the box, he said: c:\Program Files\Windows Photo Gallery\PhotoLibraryMain.dll isn't is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try to install the program by using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the provider of software for support.Well, I can't find the right disc to reinstall Photo library (can you tell me who would be?), and if I don't reinstall Windows Photo Gallery, will I lose my photos when I uninstall the one I have currently here? I don't want to lose them, because I have pictures of my old grandson of 4 days, a grandson age 9 months and tons of other pictures. Thanks for any help you can give me.Maybe the exclusive database is corrupted.

If I right click 'open with' open with other programs like IE but not "Windows Photo Gallery". It is not a specific .jpg file, this is all .jpg files. For example... I have a .jpg file in a folder on my desktop, open folder double click, it will open in the "Windows Photo Gallery". Copy and paste the SAME file on the desktop, double-click on, nothing happens. I tried to restart, change the default value of IE, open the file, it opens, by default change to "Windows Photo Gallery" doesn't work... I am confused?
Hello
Welcome to the community of Windows Vista answers.
Method 1:
This can happen in the database that keeps track of all the photos and videos in your collection is damaged. You can rebuild your database by:
(1) close Windows Live Photo Gallery
(2) · Click Start
(3) · Click on my computer
(4) · Paste this address into the address field %userprofile%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Windows Live Photo Gallery
(5) · Right-click Pictures.pd5
(6) click on rename
(7) · Change the name of the file to OLD_Pictures.pd5
(8) · Restart the computer and then try to open the Windows Photo Gallery.
Method 2:
Try using the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files. To do this, follow these steps:How to run scan SFC
1. click on the Start button
2. on the Start Menu, click all programs followed by accessories
3. in the menu accessories, right-click on command line option
4. in the drop-down menu that appears, click the "Run as Administrator" option
5 If you have the enabled User Account Control (UAC) you will be asked to consent to the opening of the command line. You simply press the button continue if you are the administrator or insert password etc.
6. in the command prompt window, type: sfc/scannow then press enter
7. a message is displayed to indicate that "the analysis of the system will start.
8. be patient because the analysis may take some time
9. If all of the necessary files any replacement SFC will replace them. You may be asked to insert your Vista DVD for this process to continue
10. If all goes although you should, after the analysis, see the following message "Windows resource protection not found any breach of integrity.
11 after the scan finished, close the command prompt window reboot the computer and check.

Title: Windows original Photo Gallery and Windows Movie Maker
Windows Movie Maker and windows photo gallery. picture of Windows live and Windows Live Movie Maker. What is the difference between these programs and who is better and easier to work with?
The answer is all one could expect from a "Microsoft Support Engineer". "." It is not an answer, it is a lazy response that obscures the issue. Who the * wants to sit here by clicking on the reference links? Try to take the time to answer the question correctly and clearly. The fact is that Windows Movie Maker, despite its flaws, is logical and easy to learn. Windows Live Movie Maker is the product of developers geeks trying to justify their work by producing a piece of absurd confusion that would be considered to be an 'upgrade' because it seems different from its predecessor. The fact is that Windows Movie Maker is MORE like film professional software publisher of Live Movie Maker, which is just no unwanted standard which is more like a project of diploma a graduate programmer. Movie Maker design allowed me to make the easy transition to the most advanced professional software, but this can never be achieved with the Windows Live Movie Maker, which is ridiculously long as stupid as his name.
