resolution and size eprint

What are the limits of the eprint system when it comes to honor the size and the resoluion of the source

Photo?

For example, I started with a fairly small image width 674 pixels, height 675 - as you can see it's almost perfect

place.  According to photoshop, saved print resolution in the image is 204 pixels/inch

What impression a sizer 3.3 x 3.3 inches.

However, when printing with eprint, who has been totally ignored, he cut the sides and printed as 4 x 6!

Cannot eprint honor the resolution internal size/shape or I do something wrong?

CHANGE the printer is Photosmart D110a

Hey davexnet!

Unfortunately, ePrint will only print 4 x 6 at the moment. We're adding new features to ePrint, so this may change in the future.

I hope this helps!

  • How to tell native resolution and size of print file dimensions

    Try to learn the LR5

Coming for many years of Bridge and Photoshop I can't find the native print dimensions and resolution in LR.

Only in library metadata module y at - it a file size total pixel.   example of 4288 x 2848

I can't find anything in the print module to specify the native size of the printed Document.  TIF or jpg

    W x H inch Dimensions

    Pixels per inch of resolution

    Total pixel dimensions

You view or edit this first in Photo Shop to define the quality and the print size.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can not find this information in LR

I know you can adjust the size of printing in LR, but what is? Or it is out of your control unlike Photoshop.

In LR, you choose the dimensions and the resolution for the output in the print module. You can send directly to your attached printer, or print to a jpeg file, if you want to send to a photo lab.

If you need the specific pixel dimensions and resolution, preferred using export library. But you cannot use the contrast and brightness settings. I have a standard photoshop action for export using a curve of brightening of batch processing.

  • Problem with "resolution and size of the work exceeds the maximum that can be rasterized.

    Hi all

OK, I've created a document 162,7 "x 90.6" (work plan) for a design I design. The document was created using all the flaws - I think that's where I was wrong. Illustrator is now telling me that "the combination of the size of the work and the resolution exceeds the maximum that can be rasterized" after I opened the document and when I try to add a shadow to what whatever.

Other than vector graphics, I created in illustrator, I only have 3 180ppi and 4 300 PPI pictures tranfered just behind the camera photograpers.

    I chose:

1 "print document" in the initial startup window.

    2. I got the size of the artboard, purge and left control the 'pixelation effects' "high (300ppi).

I think that to let the adjustment effects of pixelization at 300ppi, where is the problem.

What I need to create a new document or I can fix it already exists?

Illustrator is 32-bit only and is limited to 3 GB or RAM usage, it is more a limitation to a bug.

t has a limit to the size of a tiff file that I can export for example and you can have reached this limit.

Try opening it in Photoshop before you start all over, and then save it in psd or tiff.

It's hard to be sure of your screenshot, but it seems you have a 6 inch x 3.316 canvas, but that your image itself is much smaller than that and is centered somewhere in space.

  • Change the size of the resolution and the image does not change the result on the screen?

I use Photoshop CS3. I'm changing the resolution of several images that will be printed in a newspaper. So the current images are 72 dpi and really huge - for example 36 x 27 inches (size of the document), and when I change it to 300 dpi, the size of the image to reduce to about 8 x 6 inches, as I hope. But the image I see on the screen does not change. Thus, for example, when I open the image originally, it's 33% and the entire image is visible. After I change the resolution and the size of the image has changed accordingly, the image appears to be always the same and it remains at 33%. The image should not shrink on the screen because its size has been reduced? Or if she stays the same on the screen, the percentage should not change? I mean if the size of the document is now 8 x 6, it should be able to display at 100% and not to fill my whole screen... I'm so confused. Thank you...

    Gradded,

The "Size of the Document" of the dialog box size of the Image is just to specify the size (in inches) that your document will be printed. The ppi adjustment has nothing to do with what is displayed on your monitor. Your monitor does not care something about PPI. The monitor contains a number of pixels and after you change this setting, ppp, the monitor will always be the same number of pixels.

As long as you leave the box "Resampling" disabled, will not change the size of your image (pixel Dimensions). You won't see any change on your monitor. If you check "Resample", then the size (in pixels) of your image will change.

    I hope this helps.

  • Screen resolution and colors - how to set 16 bit

original title: screen resolution and colors

I have Windows Vista Home Basic package, but when I change my screen resolution, color change, it says 8 bit - low, but size of the screen (640 x 480 pixels) resolution is big for me, I need 1024 x 678 pixels and 256 colors not, I need 16-bit. Help please, because I really want to keep Windows Vista Home Basic Edition

Normally, it's because you need to install the correct drivers for your graphics (Vista). Go to the site of the manufacturer of your PC in the first place, or if the manufacturer of the graphics card to download and then install them.

After you download the latest updates, my resolution size and changed screen fonts.  I was not able to get the slightly larger font size and a good resolution. I get the fine print on screens and large fonts in the Middle! Help. Is there anyway to fix this?

Assuming you're right about the updates being the culprit...
I'm not trying to dramatize the situation. That's what I would do if I was faced with this question...
1, temporary Windows Update Manual... which means that you decide what, when and which updates you want to install.
    2. do a system restore, choose the date where the screen resolution and the fonts were ok as your restore point.
    3. when these updates come to install again, do only ONE AT A TIME. After each installation, check if the screen is ok, and then next update and so on.
In this way, you will be able to isolate the update is the culprit.
It will also prove or disprove your prognosis. You may be barking the wrong tree.

  • Building for all resolutions and the OS app

    Hi all

a very strong issue for me: I want my application to support a lot of existing resolutions and operating systems, from 4.6 to 6.0. I know how to write this code, so my headache lies in another field - compatibility. Typical problems and pitfalls one may face? It's a way to write * secure * code that works both touch and non touch devices smoothly?

Some APIs are available only in the newer versions, some are deprecated. For example, now I use "navigationClick" to manage both trackball and touch events, and it works fine. What other functions handle that you know will work for sure on touch and non touch devices?

Yes, 4.6 and 4.7 + need to the different versions, not so much because of the new API, but because 4.7 devices set lower versions in a ugly compatibility mode.

I have much experience with coding special touch features that I have them never required in my applications. I've implemented workaround found a colleague-based features:

You can detect a touch device using canvas.

    public static final boolean IS_TOUCHDEVICE = new Canvas() {}
    protected void paint (Graphics graphics) {}
    }
    }. hasPointerEvents().

based on this value I double the size of some input fields, so people with sausage instead of fingers can manage the

As there are a lot of resolutions and new devices bring even more I would never consider to create a version by resolution, it would never end!
a possible solution would be to create an additional library that contains only the graphics for a resolution, but it depends on your application if saved space would be worth for the extra complexity (and the cost of the added support).

  • Resolution and sizing

Hello, I have what is probably a silly question.  I'm editing photos to calendars.  Their specifications are 1666 x 1294 pixels.  If I change the resolution on a photo of the 72, it is 300, it increases the size of photos together, I then resize it down to the plug.  Should I just leave the resolution as it is in the original photo?  Hope it makes sense.  I use a canon rebel T3.  The resolution is that which detaches from the camera.

Thanks for your help.  I tried to read the tutorials on the resolution and the re-sizing here at Adobe, but my brain's not understand it.  Must be my age.

If specifications provide 300 PPI, then make sure that you uncheck the box resampling when changing the resolution.

Otherwise, you're high-sampling and subsampling then your image and detail to each change of losing.

    Thank you

Your 3 basic options are always the same.

1.) (formerly Adobe) Apache Flex / MXML allows you to do something similar to SDK like Xcode where you anchor components containing your content. Therefore, you can say a component to be always on top left regardless of the resolution and orientation. Who can help keep your interface appearing a certain level of automation-compatible.

Scale 2.). The ugly duckling of the bunch but the easiest to perform. There are some trick under the hood than using the larger resolution images in the way that you describe could you benefit. The scale is basically you choose the exact size and the proportions of your project and then agree that part of the edges is cut off the coast. On HD it is almost always on top and below, 4:3 (iPad, iPhone 4 and less) is always right and left. The idea is to keep your content in the center of your application and then allow the application to scale itself large enough to fill the screen (all sides).

Using the scale, you will also need to detect the actual resolution of the device with either stage.fullScreenHeight / width or capacity screenResolutionX / Y. That will tell you which chart to use.

    (3) manipulate everything yourself. That's how I always do. I detect the resolution of the screens and make a page layout that uses most of all pixels. To face yourself simply adjust your stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE and stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT (or wherever you want raise pixels away from).

If you manage yourself, your assets will have a way to resize. There is nothing automatic about that though. Throughout the way your layout system (something that you code yourself) will be making choices on fixed assets to use and how to use them.

Work with the manifesto on Android or DPI capabilities to be sure you understand the size of the screen.

It's a little easier on iPhone, needing to detect between iPhone 4 (and earlier) and resolution of the iPhone 5 (or an iPhone6 much larger if they are unwilling to go out of business). Otherwise, you just switch between the iPad or iPhone.

Android is supposed to be more granular and allows you to specify the size of a manifesto that controls the store in order to limit the application to DPI or specified screen, however I find that it does not in fact. A Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8 "is clearly a Tablet, but if I restrict the application to the screens of 7" (XL), due to its advantageous great DPI, you don't even see the app in the Tablet market. Only when I supported not only small ' widescreen ' but super small (phone) 'normal' screens made the app even pop up. Just a few things to think before you walk into the minefield of Android.

Here is more information on the manifest more ambiguous Android configurations:

Once the files have been imported, can you please check their resolution from the 'Information' section on the right side, or "View file information" option on the right click context menu.

You import these images Revel? If Yes, then you must download an original image of right-click context menu of the image.

I'll take some photos in RAW format with my Canon 60 d for use in video editing. I'll reframe my original in 16:9 format RAW file and reduce the size of the image 1920 x 1080 (16:9) then.

    b. say if I choose S (RAW) 2592 x 1728, can I crop to 2592 x 1458 (16:9) and to scale up to the correct size to use in video editing? If I do it this way, the final video file will become much bigger?

    Thank you.

Do you rely on the animation of photos, for example zoom in, zoom out, pan around? Or you will leave the static? If you are not going to be animating photos, you can probably use the smaller resolution - and practically speaking, you don't even need to crop and resize images outdoors before using them in Premiere Pro. From CS5, body has much better scaling algorithms and can produce very nice results by simple scaling of photos in your mounting sequence. This allows you to position a large photo anyway you think in your sequence, so you don't need to worry about the creation of multiple versions of a cropped picture, e.g. broad, medium, big plan.

If you animate will be photographs, there is practical maximum dimensions, you'll want to know: maximum size in Adobe Premiere Pro CS5 and CS5.5 "Premiere Pro workspace .

  • iTunes 12.5.1.21 not remember iTunes position and size

    Update iTunes 12.5.1.21.

Win 10 (v1607) does NOT remember iTunes position and size.

My system uses two monitors with extended desktop. I would like to put iTunes on the 2 left / top of the page. But after the closure and revival, iTunes always appears in the center of the screen 1 and the original size when updating. She also can't remember the last page of the articles that appeared, for example, Podcasts, applications, etc. When iTunes has been closed. Instead always defaults to the page music.

Also on launch a screen "Welcome" iTunes with No thanks / OK buttons on bottom is displayed momentarily before displaying the page of music. There is not enough time to read what this screen offers. Looked in the menus to try to find this page to display... no luck.

    Anyone else having these issues?

Same problem here.  Very annoying.  Each time is like the first time, which is great when you talk about sex, but not when you run iTunes.  All versions up to now has been able to hold its window size and position, but not anymore.  I also find the interface is very slow to boot.

Outlook does not, Apple mail, didn't do so to stop spamming and begin to address the real problems for a change!

Nothing of the sort, overall we are very poor typists. How can I know what others are doing? I do it myself. I touch type? Not and nor do the vast majority of people. Even those who say they do.

How can I know something about the issue? I've seen other people complain and the results are similar to the serious, where my advice. In my opinion, that most of the people with problems touch with appearance and no content is also to experience. Most are apparently not aware more you are trying to improve the appearance of your mails using the fonts and sizes the worst they look almost invariably to the purchaser who does not have the police fancy you selected.

In my opinion, the code that goes into the composer's poor by the standards of today and the suffering of his age and bitrot. Most of it is written in C++, and most of those who work on Thunderbird are people of Javascript. I do not worship at the altar of God any Mozilla and I have few illusions. Either on the code, program or the people who use it. Or at least I like to think so.

What I hold as a hope, it's a complete rewrite of the composer happens, or at least people who can make the scriptable code so many of these things can be upholstered.

Your comments about Microsoft releases and past years their fixation are neither correct nor helpful. Unfortunately the back doors and new threats are discovered almost daily. The software industry overall solves the problems as soon as they can and issues a patch. Automakers weigh the cost of litigation related to failure (how can die, be injured) against the cost of a recall. Sorry, but as far as I don't like regular patching, I prefer the approach of the automotive industry.
