resolution screen on a Mac Mini

I'm considering buying a Mac Mini and want to use my Benq Sensye LED current monitor that displays in 16 / 9.

I'll be able to use the resolution even if I connect it to the Mac Mini?

What is the resolution of the screen?

  • Can I use a screen larger than 27 "on Mac Mini?

    Hello

I would get a screen larger than my current 27 "of my Mac Mini and I wonder if my Mini (by 2012) would support a new monitor around this size. Any suggestions appreciated

    Thank you

    Some screens may work through a Thunderbolt by adapter connection;

You may need to check what specification and then if the

the numbers are what you can tolerate. If you really a 2011

Screen or another model by 2012, spec Mac Mini support

will vary. To correctly identify the model year of construction unit and not

year sold, it is more direct. Also by looking for serial number.

  • maximum VGA resolution on mac mini

    Hello.

We bought a mac mini to run experiments with an old SONY trinitron CRT. Before, we used an old mac pro with an adapter DVI to VGA and could go up to 1280 x 960 at 100 Hz. Now, with the new mac mini (model 2.6 GHz) and mini-Display to VGA, we can go back only 90 Hz at 1280 x 960 (and it was not yet in the Panel by default). If we go up to 1280 x 768 or 1024 x 768, we can increase the refresh rate of 100 Hz but the resolution is too low for us.

So why can't use us the same resolution and frequency of refresh as before? The monitor and the VGA cable can manage the resolution. The limitation comes from the graphics card of the mac mini? If this is the case, it's pretty terrible. It comes from the mini-Display port? So, why use a port that have less than the antiquated technology VGA resolution? Is this a limitation of the display mini converter VGA? If so, what are workaround?

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    Baptist

Not sure to be honest. I have the model of 2014 with the 2.6 GHz CPU. I'm running a screen adjustment 2 x 1920 x 1080 double digitally, and it works beautifully. Maximum supported is 2 x 2560 x 1600 for our Mini according to the manual.

My guess would be that your Sony CRT and the chip Intel Graphics Iris do not like each other much.

  • Mac Mini (2014) blurred or central off-screen

    Hello

I'm having a very difficult time for my Mac Mini to 2014 appears correctly on both a small Magnavox (2008) HDTV (that I'm trying to 'reuse' for use with the Mac Mini) and my 46 '' Sharp Aquos. When I use a HDMI cable to HDMI (sold by Apple) the text is extremely blurry. After some research on Google and read many articles, I decided to concede and buy everything just a crush on VGA cable on Amazon. The problem with the crush to USB is that it works in 50% of the time without problem, but the other 50% of the time, I wake up the Mac and the screen remains black, or the desktop 2 "to the right and down (leaving a strip 2" black on the left and the top of the screen). The problem is solved by unplugging the shape of love at first sight on the back of the Mac and reseating the cable (with Sharp TVs both Magnavox).

I prefer not to spend money on a new monitor if possible. I have friends and family who use TVs as displays for their mini Mac or other Mac that do not have the problem. I tried to turn the sharpness all down on broadcasters suggested in the number of threads without result (using the HDMI cable).

This post seems useful (and I found his humorous commentary on Apple), but a little complicated, and that's a MacBook Pro to monitor Dell.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. My preference would be to use the HDMI cable if possible.

    Thank you!

VGA is a horrible connector often must set the position on the screen itself because the computer it is analog have no idea

DVI - i (d) is much better in this respect make you you set the native resolution display it is or it will be always blurred (unless you define in a resolution of modulo 2 as 800_600-> 1600_1200 and visa versa)

TD; Dr. If hdmi is blurry that you use the wrong resolution, so vga is off center so it's the pet peeve of the vga and there is no real cure apart from setting in the view menu / distance

  • Presenter PowerPoint on Mac mini mode displayed on the screen and the projector when using HDMI splitter

We have a Mac mini connected to a screen and a projector via HDMI using a HDMI splitter.

It works fine for most applications, but during presentations PowerPoint, presenter is displayed on the monitor and the projector.

When I disconnected the mini Mac's HDMI cable and put it in a MacBook, the presenter appeared on the MacBook screen (as it should) and only the slide appears on the screen and on the projection screen.

Of course if we have to use the MacBook for presentations instead of the Mac mini, you would need to have seen the presenter on both the screen and on the screen of the MacBook.

In the Mac mini display preferences there is no button to "Gather Windows" when the Mac mini is attached to the screen and the projector via HDMI splitter is a tab "setting."

But these two things appear on the MacBook when it is connected.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Mike

I'm confused. When you use a video separator the same screen will appear on the two monitors connected to the separator. This is how works a separator

  • Can I connect a non-apple for my mac mini screen

How to connect a non-apple for my mac mini screen?

    1. see #2.

    2. it depends on what type of cable the monitor has and the Mac mini ports; It is not a difference between an Apple and a monitor no Apple for this purpose. A Mini DisplayPort adapter allows to connect an older display until a Thunderbolt port.

  • End of 2012 Mac mini won't go beyond screen bar startup after update 10.11.4

    Hey all,.

I'm puzzled.  I have a Late 2012 Mac mini, upgrade 10.11.4 yesterday, after the computer restarts, it was stuck around 60% on the progress of startup screen.  I let it go for 12 hours, nothing.  The screen fell asleep, and when I woke up it I had a mouse cursor which would pass but nothing to use it with.  When you try to start in safe mode, I get a little further, about 95% and then she stalls.  When booting into single user mode, it stops at "pci break: SDXC.  I fixed the disk with DiskWarrior on the repair disk, no help.  Any help would be greatly appreciated, getting very frustrated and I would like to solve it, instead of doing a restore.

I forgot to add, that when starting in Diag mode, I wonder for a wifi network reach, I do then it's right there.  Do not enter an IP address.

    Thank you!

The Diag mode gives me an error-2002D.  Looks like I have some errors going on here :/

  • I use iMac (late 2009) as a screen for the new Mac Mini?

I could use my iMac 2009 end as a screen to a new Mac Mini? It was love at first sight, and the other has a mini-Display port.  Although they look alike, should which cable I buy?

iMac has 8 GB of Ram, El Capitan 10.11.3

    Thank you!

    1. only if it is a model 27 inches, or you set up Virtual Network Computing.

    2. According to what you choose / are able to make, a Mini DisplayPort cable or a regular network connection.

  • is it possible to send airtime on a mac mini and connect to multiple screens (5)?

Hello - I'm looking to see if it is possible to use Airplay to a Mac Mini and connect to five different views and see the same thought at the same time. I understand that each display would need its own apple tv, but I don't know if it's strictly a ratio of one to one, or it would be better to run the HDMI from the mini and feed a splitter HDMI and wire them hard. I want to run a video loop of an IPAD for the mini and the mini to distribute video on screens. Thank you.

No, this is not possible with Apple TV.
