• Cannot display all of the databases in SQL Server 2012 when using CONTROL SERVER permission on user

  Hello

  I'm testing the implementation of a user who has the CONTROL SERVER permission.

  I created a database MYDB with my sysadmn account.

  I have the connection with another say TESTUSER user account (this is a SQL login) who received the CONTROL SERVER permission only.

  The TESTUSER can see the MYDB database in SSMS.

  The TESTUSER Gets a message when you try to view the tables in the MYDB pressing the sign +. :

  "The MYDB database is not accessible.

  If I try to do a right-click on the MYDB database, I get the following:

  'User has not authorized to perform this action... ". Error 297 "

  Even if I GRANT the ALTER ANY DATABASE the TESUSER permission TESTUSER still gets this error?

  I thought that CONTROL SERVER permission would allow a user to see all databases even those that the user does not have?

  So does the same for the ALTER ANY DATABASE permission?

  Is this a bug or am I missing something?

• "Oracle installed Base user" responsibility does not not for new users.

  Hi all

  We are facing problems with responsibility 'Oracle installed Base user'. This works well for existing users. When I assign this responsibility to new users, it displays error see screenshot below.

  	Error message
  	The following error occurred:
  	You do not have access to this feature.
  	No other information.
  	If the error persists, contact your system administrator.
  	Administrators can view the source of the page for more technical information about this error.

  I googled for this so that they are suggested adding CSI_NORMAL_USER or CSI_ADMIN to the user roles. even after adding user roles still faced the same question. Please suggest me on this.

• Update of the presentation in response to the actions of the user

  What is the best way to prevent the user working with a presentation for a purpose of BPM (presentation is created using a template)? For example, if I need to handle user entered data on the server side (like the search for the DB, etc.) and then display the response to the user?
  
  For example, the user enters a product name in a field and then click on the button "find products". If products are found, a drop down menu on the form is filled with product names, otherwise it displays a warning message (or message). All this should happen on a single form, w.o. goes to the next activity in the process.
  
  The issue I encountered is that search DB or server-side method (i.e. gives an error when I try to access data presentation (form)). But the updates of the presentation must take place on the client side (i.e. cannot make sense server-side).
  
  I guess manage is to use the link - i.e. create a 'message' attribute in the BPM object, bind it to a form field, and then updating it in method on the server side. I wonder if there is a more elegant approach.

  Here are a few things that I hope might help. Know that you already know most of this.

  (1) add a new Boolean attribute in your BPM object called "productsFound". This attribute is never placed on a presentation. It is just a flag that you are using a few steps down (steps 1 c and 3A), to indicate that the drop-down list dropdown has values or it has no values.

  (2) for the drop-down list drop-down list:

  (a) create a new method that has your SQL and change two of its properties in the tab "Properties". First mark as a "method on the server side ' and the second change its Type property 'back' to be a 'String []' (string array unless you try to fill your drop-down list of the combo with an array of another primitive variable of type)

  (b) if within your SQL in the method, you create the array of strings in a variable called "myListOfStuffForTheComboDropdown" then your last line of logic of this method must be:

  return myListOfStuffForTheComboDropdown
  

  (c) at the top of this method, set the attribute that you created in the first step ("productsFound") to false. If the SQL code detects one or more lines, then make sure that you set this to true.

  (d) for this example, I'll assume the name of the attribute is "productName". Under "Valid" click the option box 'dynamic method. Double-click the attribute inside your object of BPM. In the drop-down list below this option button, click the name of the method that you just created.

  (e) place the attribute "productName" as a drop-down list of combo on your presentation.

  (3) to obtain the value entered to create the drop-down list of the combo is filled:

  (a) in your thread, you said you want to have the user to enter a product name in an entrable field. Create a new method in your BPM object called "refreshProducts". This is a logic of sample that you can consider using:

  // this assumes that the name of the attribute is productName
  // please leave in the double quotes in the logic below.  If you remove
  // them you will not get a syntax error, but your logic will not work
  refreshValidValues("productName")
  
  // check the flag to see if any products were populated in the combo
  if !productsFound then
      // show a warning to the end user that no products were found

  (4) you can certainly use your idea of having the "Find products" button You can also consider using just 'Invoke the on change' field entrable property to invoke the method you created in 3A (click the field in the presentation and then click the property property of the Panel "On change invoke"). Whatever it is, you have to either the "on change systematically" or the button to call the method that you created in Step 3a above.

• End of Windows 7 permission - stop users save files and create folders in the C drive

  I am trying to create the image of the construction of Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit machine.

  If I check properties of the C drive, go to the Security tab and click the Advanced button, I see not leave of UserGroup is only read and execute authenticated users however have extraordinary and create folders / append permisions data on drive C object. Because of this non admin users can create folders and save files on the C drive I want.

  If I remove the permissions for the authenticated users group, even the local administrator is not able to save the files in the C drive or create a folder here.

  Please suggest a system of authorisation which may restrict normal users to save data and created folders without screw Windows behavior in C drive.

  Sorry, I don't want to store them something on the root of drive C, they should be able to store files and folders in their user profile.

  I need to know how to disable or block the menu option 'Auto response' on the TV screen for users in version SX20 TC7.3.3, because even when I put "off auto answer mode" configurations by browser, users can change to "mode on ' on the remote control, I put the administrator password menu access by remote control with this comand : 'xCommand SystemUnit MenuPassword Set password' but the auto answer option menu, is turned off settings of the menu administrators.

  The only option to hide the user's preferences (ringtone, volume, language, date and time, etc.), it of if you have a Touch 8 or 10 with the codec.  If you use the remote control, there is no way to hide or restrict access to the settings.

  One option is video OSD LoginRequired, but who's going to stop anyone using endpoint unless they log in with a user name and PIN first, however this does not prevent access to one of the parameters once connected.

  The only options you have are trying to keep the disabled setting auto answer, but there is no way to keep off 100% of the time, see below:

  • Using a model of persistent configuration of the TMS, which will define auto answer OFF on a periodic basis.
  • Using the not persistent on the codec, configure endpoint configuration as you want, and then select this mode lock in this configuration.  Every time whenever the SX20 restarts, it will default to whatever the configuration was made in the time mode not persistent has been activated.

• How to see user response has selected

• access_internet invites permission for confirmation

  I've added access_internet and access_shared to the file blackberry authorization statements - tablet.xml.

  With the permission access_shared the system prompts the user to allow the application to access resources from file

  No request for confirmation is displayed for permission to access_internet. Is this the correct behavior? At first I thought it was because my app works very well in most of the cases, but I'm getting isolated complaints where it seems that the app is not able to connect to the internet for a reason any.

  This is the expected behavior, because, for the moment, authorization access_internet is actually the default for all applications.

  The best thing to do, as far as I know, is leave in there if you need it and do not be surprised if later versions of OS start asking the user to acknowledge.

  Go to the link of responses... then in the left corner you will find "manage catalog" click on it

  and from there, users can delete their individual request...

  I gave permission where user is not able to delete the file, but the user is also able to rename the file or folder in this specific folder.

  Perhaps you could elaborate a little bit on "this command is not running"...  What happens when you try?

  I'm not knowledgeable about Windows 7, but Windows XP, I found the registry permissions must be put in a file.  So in your example, you can create a file named "z.txt", and in this file, you put the line:
  [1 5 7 17] \registry\Machine\Software
  Then call you the command line:
  Regini z.txt

• user accounts suddenly denied access to games standard

  OS is Vista Home Premium. I created two centuries ago user accounts. I am the administrator and have no problem. My husband is defined in Standard and until Friday 4th has been able to play an installed game he plays online. Suddenly, he is unable to play because he gets the message:
  "Windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. May not permissions to access you the item.
  Also, the icon of the shortcut to the game and read icon via start it > programs method changed to the type of icon where see you installed updates to windows. a rectangle with a small green square. Please note that nothing seen via my user account.
  If you set my husband to user account to be an administrator, or if you try to run the game "as an administrator", you still get the same message as above.
  If you view the permissions for the game that he has "full control". View permissions for the game through my user account says 'Special permissions' and I can easily play the game.

  Thanks a lot for your suggestions.
  In response, I created a new standard user account and had the same problem on all standard user accounts. Then removed them.

  The problem occurred after a recent update of Windows, that somehow changed the permissions on some downloaded files. The UAC was responsible in some way. I guess I could undo each in turn to find out who we caused the problem, but decided to do so only if no other method could be found.

  You can easily see which applications have been affected because the Apps icon has been changed into an icon of the window - a rectangle with a small green square in it.

  In my case, my husband took ownership of a game and a control total seen on the Admin account, but it was ignored. If you are looking for the game in the list of the found program via the Start button and right click on the game and select Properties... this method does not work... or can run you as admin.

  However, I decided to try the following and have had a result.

  • I opened his account (note that whenever you are prompted to enter the Admin password to continue).
  • I clicked on the "Start" button and find the game in question under the "Programs" list
  • I then click right on this game and selected for "open file location".
  • Then, I selected the Application file (exe), right click and select "Properties".
  • Then choose the security"" tab.
  • My Admin user was in the list, but my husband's name was not if I chose to 'Edit' then 'Add' his name and user account.
  • Applied and could I stand it and the icon for the game immediately changed to show the correct and original icon with a windows shield attached.
  • I then click on the game again and selected to create a shortcut that I placed on the desktop.

  The game now runs from his account.

  When you use the Access Challenge packet to request additional data from the user, it would be possible to display content of the response Message (attribute 18) to the user in Client mode?

  The latter is probably a long shot, but I'm quite happy to simply display a custom text. I am using view 5.1.0.

  You are right. Currently, just view Clients implement a fixed guest in the case of a challenge of access. In most cases, that's fine because it is obvious that the user must make.

  The line of text from the challenge of access RADIUS is sent down to the view customers, but we will need to be updated to be able to present this guest.
