Response-to-end transaction time

Hello team Foglight,

Basically, we are trying to see if Foglight is able to recover total response (end to end), after that he went through the entire workflow.  I read the code here.  Let's say we installed all the cartridges, created the necessary agents and deployed devices EU so it would be awesome if someone can provide answers to the following.

1. According to the code, there are 4 levels by default user-> Web-> App-> DB.  If the architecture of workflow contains temporary devices to perform another treatment as a program on a Unix host written in C++, JMS (MOM), TIBCO EMS, or another application that Foglight will not be able to monitor the application (except the OS metrics), it is always possible to determine the response time from end to end of a transaction?  So basically the flow would be like this:

User-> Web-> App-> SOME SERVERS (e.g. C++, JMS, TIBCO) TEMP-> DB.

And it is also possible to add temporary dependence devices discovered diagram showing how long the operation expected (or runtime) before he moved to the next layer?

2 can anyone share a screenshot showing the complete levels (at least 4 by default) showing the distribution of time to answer through the Explorer.  The edoc here shows only the following, but the DB part does not show response time. I saw another diagram here but it shows aggregated, response times that I really need, it's a similar opinion to below.  We just need proof (screenshot) that Foglight can show response time of DB level for different applications.

3. for the period of performance of DB level, how does it calculate it?  Let's say the transaction issues a SQL statement and we need to know how long this SQL statement ran.  Do we need to install an agent of the DB in order to determine that?  And if the agent is already installed, how does really know that this particular SQL statement corresponds indeed to this particular user transaction?

4. If someone has a detailed presentation on the solution APM from end to end for Foglight, showing its capacity to retrieve the runtime on all levels so to calculate the total time of the to - end operation, that would be great.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards

Hollis

Hi Hollis:

You can always add your own custom levels so that they appear in your model of addiction. You can define your own groups of objects in the Services of-> groups of objects, and you can surface as levels (which may appear in your dependencies and the COS) using Services-> Tier definitions.

Currently, the ability to determine the performance level depends on the presence of an Agent of Java Foglight on this layer (we will add the same capacity for our agent .NET later this year). The Java agent can determine the news of response time for any level on it's, or any stretch layer away from him. Java agent (and soon the .NET agent) all make the answer internal time calculation - they can both determine that a layer of database takes because they understand how Java and .NET make the backend calls to databases; It's that they can specifically time (for Java) JDBC calls or call ADO.NET (for .NET). At the moment only EUM appliance of Foglight (FxM) and Java agents are involved in the calculation of the end-to-end response time.

I hope this helps.

I have a large wav file to finish securities as a mixer and inserted the CD markers where I want the marked pistes. Icon "Are the selected markers to separate the export audio files" is grayed out outside in the markers window. The titles show starts but no end of times, and yet time is calculated. Why can't I export those items marked as separate files?

You must make the markers of track in regions for the Export of work function. Make sure that you have placed a marker at the end of the file, as well as at the beginning of each track. Then select all the markers in the marker list by left clicking the first then shift left click on the last. You can then merge markers in the channels using the comb as icon (3rd from left) at the top of the list of markers. You will then be able to export the lines marked as separate files.

  • end of time delay with stop button

I am creating a stop button to control several vi at the same time. One problem is that my Subvi has a period of time. To resolve this problem, the time limit is divided into several times so that I can interrupt it with a stop button. I build out example of Al S on the forums found here. I tried to add a global variable, but it does not work.

    Any ideas? Thank you

I highly recommend that you take some time and learn how to use the authors of notifications. They are not so difficult to use, and they are far superior to global variables. Dependence on the variables local and global is a good way to end up running in race conditions in your code. Much better usage of the buildings (the declarant for example) which are intended for other parts of your program message.

  • Analysis of response time of NAM

    I have 2 small question:

First: How Cisco NAM can calculate server, client and network responses while it is not the initiator of the traffic? It is based on the timestamps in data packets? All protocols put a timestamp in the header?

The second question is: how NAM classify clients and servers? as I see the servers appear as a customer.

    Thanks in advance.

Performance (IAP) intelligent application monitoring is a key feature that provides the Nam: an ability to measure the response time of the transactions between the client and the server.

NAM monitors the flow of TCP packets between the client and the server and data response time to bring more visibility in time of response measures (ART) and the latency of the network.

Next image will share more details:

NAM request time response (it shows a representation of the total time of the operation as opposed to application response time)

Transaction time / response time measurements (lists and describes measures ART measured by NAM)

Possible NAM monitors conversation and the TCP packet flow between applications/server customers and where it grows the clients and servers.

  • Initial backup, Time Capsule will not end.

I recently started to use my Time Capsule to back up my early 2014 MBA 13 '' again. However the initial backup will never end. The TC is not used as a Wi - Fi router; It is connected to the existing wireless network.

When I started having this problem initially. I erased the disc TC and more fresh and Time Machine, under System Prefs, told me that the backup has been chugging along just great. Well... now, after he had all of August to reach the end of time Machine always shows me "waiting for full first backup."

If I choose "save now" widget menu bar or if I let the system restart automatically backups TM shows Control Panel "backup x of x, XX, XX" and the second number continues to increase. The backup will never end.

I searched the Ko of Apple and these discussion forums and not found the answer. What can I do to make this backup finish?

    TIA.

The TC is not used as a Wi - Fi router; It is connected to the existing wireless network.

And that's probably the problem, because Apple does not officially support backups Time Machine to TB unless you use the wireless TC, or connect the Mac directly on the TC using a wired Ethernet cable connection.

Things can work with your existing wireless network, but it will be no help if it is not. Sometimes in situations like this, a Mac will back up OK wireless, and another Mac will have problems.

As you try to add 'new' backups 'old' backup, Time Machine can also have issues with this, try to compare the old and new files and get confused about what to keep and do not keep. In this case, the recommended solution would be to delete older backups of the MBA and then start again and try a new backup.

Wireless is never recommended for a first full backup. It's OK to use it, then much smaller incremental backups.

If you try this course the existing wireless you have and still have questions, other than to try to save on the wireless TC, on the only other option to try would be to connect the MBA directly to one of the LAN port <>- on the back of the TC using an Ethernet cable.  Since you have an MBA, who does not have an Ethernet port, you can buy a bolt of lightning for the Ethernet card.  Maid in Gigabit Ethernet Adapter - Apple

  • 39L4363D - cannot set the record time of beginning and end of filling time

    Hello

I have a problem with my 39L4363DG tv (software 7.1.90.34.01.1).

I'm not able time of filling time of beginning and end of record setting as described in the [Manual | http://www.toshiba-om.net/LCD/PDF/English/L4363-323950-English.pdf] on page 51. The menu item "padding-start" and 'end padding time' are disabled?

Can someone help me and give me advice on how to solve it?

    Hello

The charging time can be set for the scheduled recording.

There is also a priority planning
If the regular time intervals are ensuites to each other and there is more than one minute between the time of the end of the annex i and the next scheduled start time, scheduled recording will be performed correctly.

When + start time of filling + and + hour of end padding + are value, the start time and end time more is the time the extra minutes.

If planning time overlap, priority will be given to the scheduled recording starts first.
When the scheduled recording that began the first ends, recording will switch to the next regular program.
At that time, according to how much programming time to overlap, the section from the beginning of the next regular program is not registered.

  • What is the minimum response of analog input, through DSP online, output analog time?

    Hello experts!

I want to know if it is possible to get a very quick response latency (~ 1 ms) sound recording (analog input), through online registration (DSP online), the presentation of his (analog output) processing, by using the DAQmx programming codes. My system of NEITHER includes NOR SMU 8135, SMU 6358 DAQ Multifunction controller and SMU 5412 arbitrary signal generator. I also have access to the latest version of Labview (2015 Version) software.

My project is on auditory disturbances, which inovles record vocalizations, manipulating the recorded vocalziations and then present the manipulated vocalizations. My current idea of how to achieve this fact triggered output voltage after reading the input using DAQmx Read samples. DAQmx Read output is filtered online and then passed as input for the DAQmx writing for analog output. For purposes of illustration, examples of code are presented below. Note for simplisity, codes for the trigger part are not presented here. It's something to work in the future.

My question here is If the idea above should be reaching ~ 1ms delay? Or I have to rely on a totally different programming module, the FPGA? I am very new to Labview so as to NEITHER. After reading some documentation on FPGA, I realized that my current hardware is unable to do so because I do not have the FPGA signals processing equipment. Am I wrong?

Something might be important to mention, I'm tasting with network (approximately 16 microphones) microphones at very high sampling rate (250 kHz), which is technically very high speed. Natually, these records must be saved on hard drive. Here again, a single microphone is shown.

I have two concerns that my current approach could achieve my goal.

First, for the DAQmx Read function in step 2, I put the samples to be read as 1/10 of the sampling frequency. It's recommended by Labview and so necessary to avoid buffer overflow when a smaller number is used. However, my concern here associated with the latency of the answer is that it might already cause a delay of 100 ms response, i.e. the time to collect these samples before reading. Is this true?

Secondly, every interaction while the loop takes at least a few tens of milliseconds (~ 30 ms). He is originally a State 30 late?

Hey, I've never used or familiar with the hardware you have. So I can't help you there.

On the side of RT, again once I don't know about your hardware, but I used NOR myRIO 1900, where he has a personality of high specific speed for the RT where I can acquire the kHz Audio @44 and process data. Based image processing is ultimately do the treatment on a wide range of audio data you have gathered through high sampling frequency and number number of samples as permitted by latency, please check this .

I lost about 2 weeks to understand host-side does not work and another 2 weeks to understand the even side of RT does not work for online processing (real time). Then, finally now I'm working on FPGA, where the sampling rate is 250 kHz (of course shared by multiple channels).

The complex thing with FPGA is coding, please check if the filter you want is given below as labview automatically generates some codes of some filters.

Most of them will work in 1 SCTL IE if your target has 40 MHz clock algorithm will run in 25 ns. That's what I was looking for, I hope you

    See you soon... !

  • The overall transaction (GTT) and service channel timeout (TPETIME)

    Hi all

    And thanks in advance.

    * Tuxedo 8.1 and 10 on Solaris, AIX, and Linux.

    Consider the following scenario:

    3 services are involved S1, S2, S3.

TRANSCENDING = Y (for all services)

S1 - visits from its TMQFORWARD service (/ Q) then call S2 with TPNOBLOCK.
S2 - receive calls for S1 service, then call S3 with TPNOTRAN.
    S3 - times out.

    Example:
    / Q > TMQFORWARD-> S1-> tpcall (TPNOBLOCK)-> S2-> tpcall (TPNOTRAN)-> S3 (timeout)

In this scenario, TMQFORWARD is the beginner of the overall transaction and therefore, it is responsible of committing or rolling back according to the (tpreturn) return code, it works very well.
    I.e. back code path is:->->-> TMQFORWARD S1 S2 S3

But, on the case of the time-out period, the order is backwards:
That is the timeout order is: TMQFORWARD then S1 and S2 and S3.

Our question is whether TMQFORWARD is also responsible for the abandonment of the transaction for all services of string in the case of timeout?

Or if each chain services must call abandon for the case of timeout?

    Warning in the ULOG:
LIBTUX_CAT:1397: WARN: failure of tpreturn transaction processing

    Thank you very much
    Tech dims

    Hello

Once a Tuxedo transaction times out, no more calls on behalf of this transaction will succeed. Also, if TMQFORWARD has launched the operation, it is the responsibility of the appellant tpcommit() or tpabort() and will do.

Regarding who should call tpabort(), only the initiator of the transaction may call tpabort(). So if TMQFORWARD was set to launch the operation, none of the services he needs to call tpabort(). They will receive an TPEPROTO error if they try to abandon the transaction as Tuxedo requires the semantics of transaction enabled, which means that only the initiator can end (successfully or unsuccessfully) the transaction.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean when you say that the order is backwards?
