Restore access administrator

My daughter has had access to my husbands son computer and left the House, but not before remove me her administrator and other accounts limited accounts. His is the only administrator (probably) account and is password protected. I can do to restore the administrator access. We do not have a password protect our accounts because we do not think that we would have to. tried to control the alt del twice in the previous post suggested for another but which brought up my son limited account. Please can someone help?

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (it cannot be deleted) and change the desired accounts and use Start > run > 'control userpasswords2' to change the desired accounts.

By design, the only way to connect to the administrator account on Windows XP Home is to restart in Mode without failure. For WinXP Pro, by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice at the Welcome screen will produce the standard login dialog box.

  • Restore access to My Documents after reinstalling XP, I get the message: 'access denied '.

Original title: restore access to My Documents after reinstalling XP

Recently, I acquired a virus with which Microsoft Security Essentials could not cope.  Then one day the computer refused to start.  I wrongly assumed that my hard drive was dead, so I installed a new HD and reinstalled Windows XP.  [Actually, I first tried the upgrade to Windows 7, because program upgrade windows 7 Microsoft has already said that my computer was compatible... but Windows 7 disk says otherwise!]  Then I tried to install the HD original in an another drive Bay and discovered it still worked, but I could not boot from it.  Apparently, the virus has killed the OS (Windows XP) but my files, programs and documents are still there.  The problem is that when I try to access my old "My Documents" folder, I get the message: 'access denied '.  I believe that this is because the files are stored in a password protected user account.  I know the password, but I do not know how to access the files.

I tried to create a user account on my new HD (with the operating system Windows XP reinstalled) with the same name and the password that I used on my original (with the Windows operating system XP corrupted) HD to create all the document files.  However, opening a session with this account name and password did NOT restore my access to the My Documents folder on my original hard drive.

I'm out of ideas.  Help, please!

  • Cannot access administrator account

Hello! I can't get into my administrative account. When I try to open it a memo comes stating "the user profile service has no logon. User profile cannot be loaded "." The only option is 'ok' then it disconnects. I can only access a standard account and I can't do much without be requested for a password I never set. Never asked me a password until the administrative account could not load. Please help ASAP!

    ·                        Restore point:

Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

Difficulty of a corrupted user profile

After creating the profile, you can copy the files from the existing profile. You must have at least three user accounts on the computer to perform these operations, including the new account that you created.

  • Ability lost access administrator account and create files (using Windows 7)

Running windows 7, administrator account has disappeared and cannot access (it is listed as a user with permissions (mine has changed and he's been a user listed as S-1-5-21-3964978265-1859684145-9075597-1000 and finally managed to remove it (I think)) and the ability to create folders, or by clicking right in applications.)

Clicked on what I thought, it was a reliable site, the message says that I had to update Flash to enter the site, after a large number of ads downloaded and changed my browser; I just uninstalled from this time, installed backup of the previous day and blocked unwanted applications through my Norton.

I don't know if there is something else that is affected.  How can I fix it, my level of knowledge is limited on what I should and should not on my system.
You can probably fix your problem by using the system restore. Here's how it works:
    1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
    2. select Repair from the menu.
    3. Select an administrator account, and then enter its password.
    4. When you are prompted, select System Restore.
    5. set Windows to a point before this problem occurred.
    6. plan in advance and create, test and document a spare, even admin account that you have a spare House key.
  • access denied to all even at the computer and I cand system, user, restricted, access account settings restore access denied, troubleshooting work do not

I have reset my windows settings under user accounts, now features are unusable, access is denied, even for me, how can I get that back, System Restore is also refused access and troubleshootin online does not work?

I don't know if you've already tried this, but try to start in safe mode, from there, you should be able to connect to the 'administrator' built into account (by default the administrator account does work in safe mode), so it allows you, try to do a system restore.

  • Where can I access administrator functions?

TRY DOWNLOAD A PROGRAM WITH THE HELP OF MY GUEST RATHER THAN MY USUAL ACCESS.  SITE IS NOT AS 'GUEST' IS NOT REGISTERED AS AN ADMINISTRATOR.

    Mike,

As you have discovered, the guest account is a very limited account.  Its main use is to control access to files on the computer when Simple file sharing is enabled.  Although it is possible to extend the privileges of the comments, it is strongly discouraged.

"Description of the account in Windows XP"

There is a built-in "Administrator" account that seems to describe what you are trying to accomplish.  Perhaps, you must use this account.  When you see the screen with three connections (you, other comments), at this point, hit Ctrl-Alt-Del twice.  This will bring up a login window.  Enter the 'Administrator' user in the user box.  The password must be empty (unless you put it in the past).  This should open session as built-in Administrator and give you all the privileges.

Another method is to simply create a user 4th on your system in the user control panel and give the user privileges.  When does do what to do, just delete this user account.

  • I recently bought a 2nd computer hane. Unfortunately I don't have administrator access because I believe that this computer is part of a companys network. How can I get access administrator ot change the access of current users?

    Type administrator access

Next time put please the details of your question in the body of the message instead of the subject line.

With a used computer recommended is to do a clean install. This is particularly important with a former domain member machine since several strategies group defined on the server will be "tattooed" on the system and make it very difficult to use as a home machine.

    http://michaelstevenstech.com/cleanxpinstall.html - Clean install - how-to
    http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Reinstalling_Windows

If you are unable or refuse to do it (not recommended), you will need to use NTpasswd to change the password for the local administrator to white. Then connect and separate the machine from the network. Create a new user account for yourself and remove any domain user profile. This will not remove policy group that are tattooed and m ost companies also set a default restrictive profile so if that was the case in your user accounts new cases will also be limited.

Download the bootable CD .iso image file, burn with third-party burning software such as free ImgBurn , Nero or Roxio. Burn as an image, not in the form of data. Start with the media that you have created. You need to maybe change the boot order in the BIOS or obtain a menu of boot command temporary with the pressure of a special key. NTpasswd will run. Follow the instructions carefully.

  • Restoration Super Administrator after you have stopped it

I have Vista Home Premium, and I enabled the administrator account by default to delete my profile first who has administrator rights.  After deletion, I created two standard users and password protected the default admin account.  Then I disabled Admin so I would not show the Welcome screen.  Now when I use one of the standard accounts, I can't access admin right.  Running as admin requires fast UAC.  UAC prompt does not allow me to enter the password that I created and still know.  I have no administrative rights to re activate my account administrator on the Welcome screen.  Any help will be greatly appreciated since it's my only computer at work or school.

Thanks I solved the problem, but I'll take your advice in case there is a next time.
