    Hi Aaliyah,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

With the description, I understand that you want if we restore accidentally deleted files and programs in Windows 10 machine or not. I will certainly help you to the query.

As you mentioned that you have not saved the files and programs, it is difficult to get back them. However, you can try to find the files/folders in "Windows.old" in the operating system drive. Follow the steps below to locate "Windows.old".

    1. press on "Windows key + X", click on "Windows Explorer".

    2. click on the operating system drive (for example: drive c :)))

    3. now open 'Windows .old"file. If you can't find the file.

    4. Type "Windows.old" in the search box at top right of the screen.

    5. now try to locate files and folders that you have deleted accidentally.

Hope this information is useful. Please come back to write to us if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • How to restore files deleted from usb?

I deleted the file from usb by accident. How can I restore them?

I deleted the file from usb by accident. How can I restore them?

What do you mean by "USB"? You ask for something like a USB key or external hard drive?

    If so, read the following:

"Deleting" a file does not delete actually it brand just space be used. There are third-party programs that can sometimes recover deleted files. The problem is that the space used by the file is likely to be replaced very quickly, and this makes the unrecoverable file.

So your chances of successfully recover this file are decent, if you try it again immediately after deleting it and quickly down. If you use the drive since then, your chances can be very weak now.

But if the file is large enough, it's still worth a try. Stop using the drive in question immediately, if you haven't done so already. Download a program to undelete (to here is one: http://www3.telus.net/mikebike/RESTORATION.html but there are many other choice; do a search)

If that fails, your only recourse is to bring or send the drive to a professional file recovery company. This kind of service is very expensive and may or may not work in your case.

Hi, I just deleted a file using SHIFT + DELETE, how can I recover.

    It's a winrar file,
    I use microsoft vista,

    Thank you

To avoid this scenario in the future, suggest that you use SHIFT-DELETE.
Instead, just right click a file > click on delete. This way you'll always have a chance to recover it from trash also long as you have not emptied the trash.

    Hello

You may be able to recover the files deleted using the component of previous Versions.

    1. open the Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder where the files are stored.

2 right click the folder and select the restore previous Version in the menu.

3 in the previous dialog, select a version with a date and time before when you deleted the files.

4 select the copy button. Select the desktop as the location for the copy , and then click the copy button.

5 go on the desktop, open the copied file and search for the files.

If the files are there, move them out of the folder copied to the desktop. You can then delete the copied, previous version of this folder.

    Let us know the results.

    General file recovery

If you stop using the drive, it is possible to recover files that have not been overwritten by using the recovery software such as MAC Data Recovery, Data Rescue II, recovering files or TechTool Prodeleted.  Each of the previous ones come on a bootable CD for use without risk of writing, more data on the hard drive.  Two free alternatives are disc drill and TestDisk.  Look for them and demos to MacUpdate or CNET downloads. Recovery software generally provide trial versions that allows you to determine if the software would help before actually paying for it. Beyond that, or if the drive has completely failed, you must send the drive to a recovery service which is very expensive.

The hard drive remains the most widely used and the data are recorded, the greater the chance that your deleted files will be overwritten.

  • How to restore a deleted file

original title: restore a deleted file

I deleted a file from a flash drive. It does not appear in the Recycle Bin. How can I restore it?

Windows XP does not create a basket for removable flash drives or any other "device with removable media" (for example, a floppy drive).

If you look at my computer with a flash drive and a hard drive connected by USB, you will see that the flash player is listed with CD and DVD readers "Devices with removable storage", but the external drive is listed with internal as «Hard drives» discs

If this is an important issue, immediately stop using the flash drive, then download Recuva, which should be able to get it back.

  • Can I have a special, separate trash for files deleted from my account?

Original title: Special (additional) Recycle Bin.

I have a folder on the PC of someone. Can I have a special, separate trash for files deleted from this folder of mine, so that if someone deletes the file from anywhere else that my folder the file transfers / moves to the normal trash. But if one of my files to my specific folder is deleted then this file transfers / moves in the special trash.

    Thank you!

    Awab!

    Hi fouchka,

It is not possible to have more than one basket in Windows.

If you have multiple user accounts on your computer, then also there only a basket.

    Hope the helps of information.

  • Vista: Deleted files show no trash

Using Vista will all the updates and Norton Antivirus.  When I delete the files, they disappear in the source folder and the Recycle Bin appears complete, but I do not see the files when I open the trash.  I noticed that if the trash folder is open before you delete the original file: it seems to work normally.  How can I view the deleted files in the Recycle Bin?

    Trash appears complete:

    1. right click on the Recycle Bin, select properties and increase the custom size of Recycle Bin so that it could hold more files.

2 remove the unwanted files permanently from the Recycle Bin to make room for new files.

You can download some like this free data recovery software to recover deleted files.

    1 panda Recovery http://www.pandorarecovery.com

    2 recuva http://www.snapfiles.com/get/recuva.html

    3. undelete more http://undelete-plus.com/

If you want to try these recovery programs to recover your lost data, then you must immediately stop using your hard disk in order to not replace the data you want to retrieve.

    How does it work?

When you delete a file on the FAT32 or NTFS file system, its content is not erased the disc, but only the reference to the data file in the file Table of Allocation or the master file Table is marked as deleted. This means that you might be able to recover files deleted, or to be visible through the file system again.
