Restore the consistent backup RMAN

Hi team,

Please let me know how to restore only my consistent backup by RMAN?
Example: Consistent Sunday incremental backup of level 0 keeping database state up and incremental backup of level 1 from Monday to Saturday.
If my database a fall Tuesday, I want to restore only the consistent backup Sunday and open the database and I don't want to run the command for database recovery. (-> restore database alter database open). Please let me know how to do this in RMAN.

Thank you

    1. first of all, please check whether your listener is listnening to your database service by entering at the prompt of the listener

    Hello Experts,

Please English me to remove my old backups RMAN. We act in RMAN backup on a daily basis on the disc. you want to delete the previous day from the disk backup.

  • Impossible to restore the Thunderbird backup, delzip179 is not a valid win32 application

Original title: Mr. Fix It Will correct dll file errors

Recently I replaced the drive HARD internal on a HP Media Edition due to the failure and had backed up all my data, but also a backup of my e-mail account in mozilla TB on an external HARD drive.  After installing a new HARD drive and reinstall all hardware, software and update windows XP SP 3, IE8 et.NET Framework 4, I rebooted everything except the moz backup. TB. Would not load as I couldn't open the DelZip 179 .dll file that was created on the Mozilla site as favorite to save.  I can't open it with Mozilla TB which is my default email client and is listed in my program files.  I have another computer running XP SP 3, IE8 on which I was able to open the same external HARD drive backup file it opened with Mozilla TB on request what to open it with. so, I know that the file is not damaged.  What am I missing I will allow me to open this file.  I quickly get "delzip179 is not a valid win32 application" when you try to open with Mozilla TB in the newly repaired unit.

    Hello

    ·         Have you tried to reinstall the application?

If you move from one operating system to another then you must manually move your profile from one computer to the other.

To do this, follow the steps in http://kb.mozillazine.org/Moving_your_profile_folder

    Refer to http://support.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/kb/Moving+Thunderbird+Data+to+a+New+Computer

    Read the error message carefully
    especially the first line

BKI5010E: Error of Tivoli Storage Manager:
ANS1314E (RC14) currently unavailable data file on the server
    (rc = 14).
BKI1230E: The following file was not processed: oracle/PEP/sapbackup/behjszif.aff.

Not an Oracle error. IBM also has support forums.

  • What is the difference (BACKUP RMAN)

Please let me know the difference between

    1 Alter database begin backup

    2 backup database

Once all my own research, I can find this Alter database begin backup freeze the RCS and then we can copy the files from the operating system level

Where backup database directly create a backup set (backup piece)...

I would like to know the difference between the two functional, if there is...

More... .doing alter database begin backup... .am I not taking care of the logical corruption...

Alter database being backup not to validate or discover the logical corruption before...
I also came know from a TRAY that is just into backup mode and don't really pay attention to check or validate the files... before you screw it back upward.
    Is this true?

    Thanks in advance

ALTER database begin backup is a SQL command and is required to start a backup maintained by users . Backups managed by users have special sections in the documentation of backup and restoration provided by Oracle.
After this statement, it is up to the user to copy the data, ideally by the Oracle provided o/s ocopy command files

backup database is an RMAN command to back up the database. When filesperset is greater than 1, it will be multiplex multiple datafiles in 1 backupset.
backup database may check (when you specify the clause of 'sense check') for logical corruption.
ALTER database begin backup done nothing of the kind.

That is to say: they are apples and pears.

  • Restore the TimeMachine backup to different hardware (MBA-> MBP)

    Hello

I've restored my MBA at a new MBP without problem from a backup Time Machine. But I wanted to make sure that the restoration of an MBA at a MBP had no impact on the performance of the MBP? Would it not be better to install it from scratch rather than restoring a backup MBA?

Depends on all sorts of things...

When you say restore did you use the configuration wizard or migrate?

Migration causes no problems of performance... assistant configuration attempts to pass a whole system to another machine... and then, it depends on how close they are to each other.

Does feel slow? You ask out of curiosity or because you actually have a sense of a question?

You do not have to re - create the controlfile.

    Just rename the data files

Make sure that the database is in condition to ride .

     select ' alter database rename file '''||name||''' to '||name|| ';' from v$datafile;
    alter database rename file 'c:\appl\oracle\test\ystem01.dbf' to 'f:\appl\oracle\test\system01.dbf;

The above will display your information data file of the controlfile. Change the drive/directory after to accordingly pointing to where you have these files and run the script.

Now, try to open the database.
