  • My Satellite A100 does not support SDHC cards with the internal card reader

    Hello

My Satellite A100 can't stand my sandisk 4 GB SDHC.
'normal' SD cards are not a problem with the internal card reader, and there is no problem with the 4 GB sandisk SDHC card using an external card reader.

    is there a software solution?

    regrads,
    Itock

I don't have the time to read the manuals for your model of laptop users, but can be registered to all supported cards. I guess SDHC not registered and not supported.

I don't know what you mean with the software solution, but as far as I know, update for multimedia card reader is not available.

  • Satellite L750 - stuck on the Realtek card reader

    Hello

I just got a Toshiba Satellite L750 / 00K and I turned it on for the first time. He asked about the recovery and I chose 64-bit, and then on the settings in the box. It restarted once then I left it to charge. I came back and he was stuck on the Realtek card reader. It has been like this for maybe 2 hours, I can move the mouse but nothing has changed. He said that commissioning could take some time but I don't know if something is wrong. Help, please!

    Thank you

    Hey Buddy,

Installation of recovery can take a very long time. In your case I'd wait a bit more.

If it helps doesn t you should try to start installing recovery again. You can do this if you access Windows Advanced Boot menu and select Repair my computer.

Recently updated for Windows 10 and since then had to install several new drivers.  Last attempt is for the sd card reader driver.  Same error comes back constantly, "HP is experiencing difficulties, please try again later".  Day 3 same error.  I talked to my son-in-law who is a COMPUTER expert and he warns of the use of other than original manufacturers drivers, so I'm stuck, zusammenklappbar to transfer my photos from sd card on my computer.   When I called HP support, I am told that they can help for a one time fee $50, something I'm not willing to do, I'll buy another computer before going this route

    Hello:

It is not not a 3rd party driver.

There is no driver W10 from HP for your PC.

The reader of card on your PC was manufactured by Realtek, so that they provide the drivers for HP.

It is a universal driver that works on all card readers.

If you're skeptical, then see if this W10 card reader driver HP works.  It can not, because it can be for different model Realtek card readers that your PC has.

My computer windows 8 HP Pavillion M8100n does not recognize the DVD drive or the SD card reader.  I have just upgraded to Windows 8 of Window Vista. Do you have any suggestions?

    Hello

I see nothing unusual, except that there should be a "0001", or even "0002"...

When you have made the registry change, you used the command line (Admin)?... the process may not work with the regular command prompt...

Also, try to go to Device Manager, right click on your DVD drive, click on uninstall and restart.

How I use my card under Windows 7 flash reader?

    Hello

Unfortunately, I think you can use the Vista driver and normally they also work on Windows 7.
Perhaps you can explain what it means not managed exactly

In addition, you can try a new driver of another model of laptop card reader, e. g. Satellite A300.

  • Must restart to use the SD card reader

Often, the card (pre-installed, internal) flash on my HP Pavilion reader refuses to recognize SD cards when I plug it into its slot. The only solution I've found so far is to reboot Vista.

Don't know if it would occur with other types of memory flash as I did not test it with. The external USB ports work fine with readers flash USB, printer, etc. so the problem seems to be specific to the card reader and is not a generic USB problem. Other debug info:

    1. I have 2 SD cards. Both work 100% fine in my digital camera.

    2. the USB connection and contact card reader seem ok.

3 device Manager says that all my USB-associated drivers are up to date.

Do not restart to solve a hardware problem, so I figure it's a driver or a matter of Vista. But I'm not sure where to go from here.

I got "the update does not apply to your system." (And FWIW, Windows Update says "Windows is up-to-date" and I have daily automatic update enabled.)

However, I have noticed a few related "what others are downloading" updates, which has successfully installed. (I have them below list reference of others.) The 3rd is USB driven.) I rebooted and you have tested on and off for a few hours now, and the problem has not recurred. If things remain that way, I'm going to 'mark as answer.

    Thank you.

  • Copying of images from Compact Flash Card Reader on Windows 7 x 64 corrupts some image files.

When the copy of Canon RAW files produced by a Canon EOS 40 d and Canon's EOS 5DMk2 Canon EOS 7 d a card compact flash on a PC running Windows 7 x 64 a small percentage of the files become corrupt. I tested it with several internal and external USB card reader, with the same results. Always the same images of a set of images on the card are corrupted. On my system with Windows Vista x 32 or Windows 7 x 32 this problem does not occur. If you copy an image corrupted from a machine Windows 7 x 64 one of the x 32 machines always corrupt. But you copy the same image directly from the CF card, it will be corrupted on Windows 7 x 64, but is perfectly fine in a x 32 machines. Is anyone familiar with this problem? No work around? I am a photographer and it is really annoying my workflow.

This problem has been recreated on the following computers:

    Dell Dimension 9100 Running Windows 7 Profesional x 64
    Dell XPS m1210 Running Windows 7 Enterprise x 64

This problem does not occur on the following computers:

Dell Dimension 9100 Running Windows Vista Ultimate x 32
Reference Dell Inpiron 9100 Running Windows 7 Professional x 32
Dell XPS m1210 running Windows Vista Enterprise x 32

Talk about drive you crazy, I can have recently fixed this problem for my PC, but I can't really understand what was the exact solution. In any case if you read my posts above, you'll see that I at least 4 PC running Windows 7 that has this issue. I have two cameras from Canon (40 d, 7 d) that present this problem and 4 compact flash cards (2 for each camera) which show this question. This issue is also never appeared on my other 2 cameras (300 d and 20 d) or on Windows XP or Windows Vista.

To test this recurring problem, I kept one of my CF cards which was full of RAW files and stopped using it with my cameras. I used images on this card for testing. I copy the images of this map on a PC hard drive then I would like to make a second copy on the hard drive. A copy of the images I would have spotted in Adobe Bridge, the second copy I would consider only with the Canon DPP. Whenever there are images corrupted in the game that I give in Adobe Bridge and no corruption in the game that I would only see with Canon's DPP. I would then use WinMerge to compare one of the images corrupted in Bridge with uncorrupted counterpart. Sometimes the files differed not at all, which indicates that the corruption was in Adobe Bridge preview only. Sometimes there are clearly major differencs between files, which indicates that the corruption was in the file RAW itself.

I repeated this test again and again on at least 4 computers running Windows 7. It became easy to reproduce and repeatable. The differences between several PC was that different images become corrupt on different PCs. By default on a PC, changing as ACR would affect what images have become corrupt.

With the above in mind, I would test with clean installs on the PC. With anti-virus turned off. Without any element in windows startup. With different video cards, etc. Nothing has worked. Then on a whim, I bought and installed the Codec Pack FastPictureViewer 2.1R2 (http://www.fastpictureviewer.com/codecs/) on one of my PC Windows 7 x 64. After a reboot, I then ran my standard test above. To my surprise, none of the pictures of the test set has become corrupted. The first time it never happened on Windows 7 for sure.

Great, I thought. So now if I take this CF card and copy the images on a PC without the Codec Pack, then the images would still become corrupt because with the right Adobe Bridge? Well, bad actually. On my other three PC without the Codec Pack these images now copy the CF card with no to corruption. The new pictures that I take with a camera show also no corruptiopn on any computer with or without the Codec Pack. It's really weird.

All I can theorize it, is that there is something wrong with some data that has been written for cards CF. In the directory structure or some cache hidden on the CF card somewhere float codec RAW of Canon presents incorrect data, but ACR and the CaptureOne seemed not only to become confused by it, they would actually rewrite the interpretation corrupted in the file RAW itself. It's curious because the display of hidden files and protected system files do show all files on the CF card other than RAW images. The only thing that's changed on the map, it's that when I opened it upward in the preview vignettes explore now show instead of the generic Adobe icons for CR2 files. On the PC without the Codec Pack, the generic icons show yet, but very good copy the files. Whatever it either, with the Codec Pack to build miniature previews on PC it sets whatever the problem of all the PC have had reading the data off the card.

I can't explain it. I reformatted the CF card camera and on my two PCs and doesn't seem to make a difference. But by the mere fact to have a codec generate a thumbnail preview, it seems to have 'fixed' regardless of the question. Very confusing. For the last three days, I tried to recreate the problem of corruption and simply cannot. If she resurfaced once again, I will post it here, but for now it seems that this problem is solved?

  • Online recovery process is frozen to the installation of the Flash Card Utility

Following an attack of serious virus a month ago, my computer ended up with at least a corrupted user file. Efforts to correct without great expense may have hurt rather than helped - it is difficult to know what does what.

Until two days ago, I was faced with three distinct start-up, two partial process and a normal (usually first start in the morning). One of the partial featured no connection. The other managed to connect, but not with the document data.

After a normal boot, if for some reason, the computer fell asleep or has been disabled, it has not started normally for the rest of the day, except on rare occasions, seemingly random.

Two days ago Windows began to send messages that Windows 7 has to be reinstalled. Once it does automatically search and correction process. Subsequently, the message became, you may be victim of illegitimate (or Word like this) Windows software.

On a forum this morning, I came across the steps in a process of recovery Toshiba DIY (no cd or usb) and has begun. Everything went along well for about half an hour, going from one thing to another, sometimes restart. But the process now seems to be frozen. For about 40 minutes, the installation was on Toshiba Flash Card Utility - 10/80.

I followed the direction does not stop somehow. I really don't think it's still going to complete recovery successfully.

It is I think that all I could do just end the installation and I'll be back where I was before, but without anything left on my laptop.

I called Toshiba Support (I'm out of warranty) and the person to whom I spoke and his supervisor, do not seem to have any idea of what could be done, but knew I had to talk to a person "out of warranty". I have to pay their fees, but the only one I think that options are available to me are 1) do nothing and see if the recovery work always or 2 (repeat the recovery.

Can anyone offer an alternative to $200 at Best Buy?
