Restore the Vista color scheme

original title: my Windows Vista window color to go and how do I restore it?

My Windows Vista color scheme disappeared from my computer. To turn on my laptop this morning, I realized my taskbar has been a gray flat Strip and my previously round start button was a small rectangle. By clicking on the Start button, revealed my menus for the menus 2D without inspiration, that I remembered from earlier operating systems. I right click on the desktop, click on 'Customize', 'window color and appearance' and checked the color schemes in the "Appearance settings" dialog box He registered "Windows standard" Windows classic"and four high-contrast patterns. It does not, however, list Windows Vista. Now, I'm getting a little reached cognitive as I get older, but I'm sure that Windows Vista was listed as a color scheme this area the last time I looked. A quick check confirmed that, in all other respects, I am always under Vista Home Premium. Only the color scheme, transparencies, etc. seem to be affected. I remember doing nothing that should have an effect on my color schemes. Someone has an idea why my laptop would suddenly lose its color scheme of Windows Vista, and more importantly, how do I get it back?

You also see "Windows Aero"? It should be at the top of the list. If so, select it, and then click APPLY. Wait for it to change. > click OK when done change Windows Aero.
Now click on "window color and appearance", you will see the back color palette.

  • System is stuck on the classic color palette and don't return to the vista color palette

    I put my laptop on 5000mAh last night and then today I tried to open it but she refused to light because she had no battery, it probably updated itself, then restarted it self during the night (it has happaned before, it is quite old now, 3 years). But when I plugged in and turned on the theme (or so I thought) was classic. So I did the basics and tried to change the theme and and he said that it is on vista, but it just changed my wallpaper, returned and he says it's always on classic. Then tried to change the color scheme and when I click on Aero or basic preview is empty and if I click on apply just going darker. I tried many different things, like going to computor and clicking on manage and relaunch the themes. Went to the windows site and he did not like a check and he told me that the Office Manager wasn't on, I went and it was on and tried to restart my laptop.

  • Taskbar Windows Vista Home Premium, changed to the classic color scheme after update.

    For some reason any my menu of the taskbar and start suddenly changed to the classic system of windows.

    I am running Windows Home Premium and have attempted to reverse to the standard vista scheme through customization > window color and appearance, but has only Windows Classic as an option.

    I also right click on the bar of tasks and disappeared on properties in this way, it shows the taskbar as the standard version of Vista but the taskbar is still in basic.

    I used the diagnosis of DirectX tool tests to see if an error has caused this, but it does not revisit what whatsoever, and my laptop recognizes that it runs Windows Home Premium.

    Also tried to restart, but nothing changes...

    The only thing that I think may be linked to this is after a recent update of the last time that I closed my laptop, but I don't see what update it was.

    Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Once she had him restart the service for the themes, right click on your desktop, go into customize and if you change your theme, your Vista Basic theme should be back. I hope this helps someone.

  • Questions of diet with vista color: Cyan over White

    Most graphic design sites copies Tips is not to use a text on light background. Same Council could consider on bottom "selected text", which must contrast with default background.

    Color scheme by default in Vista and windows 7 uses cyan for selected and white background for the default background. A test showed that many men cannot difference of white clothes of pale cyan clothes, even when they are suffering from color blindness. The problem increases when you look at the computer screen TFT at strange angles, especially the vertical angles (i.e. of standing teachers supervising the work of a child of the meeting). So many people must change the Vista color scheme.

    I'm colorblind and application to run on a friend or a member of the family computer with Vista or Windows 7, I have to change the color scheme whenever I'm asked to help. I have also reset the color scheme by default whenever I finish using this computer (some people, especially men, including no-color-blind men, have asked me to keep my diet "selected text-cyan", however).

    Color scheme is particularly difficult to change in Vista, since you must navigate several additional levels of menus (compared to windows XP, win95 or even windows 3.0) and then save the new set of colors under a theme. Change that is related to the ease of use (i.e. the color schemes for color blind and even non-color-blind people) must be prioritized the most aesthetic, but apparently not the case of vista, where color schemes are relegated to the option "Advanced settings", and no color scheme (text selected either blue, visible) 'windows' classic appears.

    [More information on best practices and l ': http://jfly.iam.u-tokyo.ac.jp/color/#convert ]

    My question: is there a solution to easily change the colors of vista, without any of the navigation in the menus? Some of the default themes (which you show with just a touch of color in the menu "level of transparency") is a high-contrast color.

    Hello Jose,.

    Unfortunately, you will need to navigate through the menus to change the color and theme of Windows.  You may be able to change the set of colors to your liking and save it as a theme so so you will simply have to choose a different theme in relation to changing the color permanently.  I hope that the information is beneficial.

    Please remember that once that changes have been made and that you save the changes to the theme.

  • I lost the standard windows color scheme on my windows 7 Home Basic. How can I restore it?

    My windows 7 standard colors suddenly lost after I used the quick heal PC tuner. I adjust my PC several times before, but this never happened. Now the list of system colors shows that the conventional windows and four high-contrast themes. My color palette is set to the classic look. Is it possible to restore my standard color scheme? I am using windows 7 Home Basic and I keep the windows updates turned off because my network connection is a bit slow.

    I would open a system restore (type 'restore' in your Start menu search box to find it) and come back in until you have used the program to heal.  System restore only takes 2 minutes and not lose any of your files (it only restores system files and the registry settings).

    And concise consider a Pro, never use all programs 'tune up '.  Trust me.  You wouldn't believe how much I earn people charging to address what's going on.  Windows is robust and takes care of himself these days.
  • How to go back to the Windows 7 default color scheme?

    This way:

    I had the same problem. There is no DEFAULT botton to change the colors of W7 return to the default color settings, but I found something (by the grace of God) by accident. FOR THE DEFAULT SETTINGS:

    1.) permission open WordPad. Type something into it. (Even to leave a window open)

    2.) go to restart the computer and select

    3.) Windows does not stop but warn you you have WordPad or open IE.

    4.) do not press Force Shut Down

    5.) select Cancel

    6.) now go to personalization > Windows color and appearance

    7.) advance click appearance settings

    As odd as it is, by cancelling the Force Shutdown, you will see that it goes back to the default colors. 'Applies' is grayed out, so change the black to any color and black. BOOM! 'Applies' will now beable click to save the default color scheme.

    Please no 'thank you' for me but don't thank God for me, please? I was very frustrated, I couldn't cancel my colors, I chose that I like, but my colors screwed up Windows not being able to see the words due to conflict of colors, contrast and confusion. Defult colour Windows are set up for the purpose, so we can read and see everything on our computers or on the web.

    I hope this has helped. God bless you!

    You can restore the default colors by doing this:

    1 - right click on the desktop and choose personalize.
    2 - Click on Windows7 Aero section of the list element.
  • How to reset the color scheme to the default level in Windows 7?

    I changed the default color of Windows 7 (32-bit version x) system palette, using the personalize > Windows color > link appearance and the dialog that results.   But she did background colors of controls like buttons, drop-down lists etc. in the dialogs implemented by applications, being identical to the forefront of the font of text on them.  This makes the information unreadable text.   I want to restore the default color palette, so that this information can be read.   I want to know how to reset the color scheme, since other changes in results window customization in unpredictable and unreadable color on other components of the application windows.
    As this resulted in almost total ease of use of my computer, I would be very grateful to anyone who can guide me to reset the color scheme for my computer to its normal state by default as soon as possible.   Thanks in advance.

  • How to change the font color

    as in the subject...

    I have a class that extends the VerticalFieldManager and paint method:

    public void paint (Graphics _g) {}

    Super.paint (_g);

    _g.setColor (Color.Black);

    _g.fillRect (0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight());

    _g.setColor (Color.Red);

    _g.drawRect (0, 0, getWidth(), getHeight());

    }

    So what I have is a black rectangle with red edges.

    later in another part of the program, I make an object of this class and I want to add a TextField to write to him. the problem is, the font color is black and is also the background of my rectangle. I want to change the font color in the TextField in white, but I have problems. I tried to crush paint method as follows:

    _Tf TextField = new TextField() {}

    Public Sub paint (Graphics _g)

    Super.Paint (_g);

    _g.setColor (Color.White);

    }

    but it won't help.

    Anyone know how to solve?

    concerning

    Make the call to setColor before calling super.paint (...).  Although you might need to save/restore the current color

    {} public void paint (Graphics g)

    oldColor int = g.getColor ();

    g.setColor (Color.WHITE);

    Super.Paint (g);

    g.setColor (oldColor);

    }

    The color setting is perhaps an exaggeration, but you can play with it.  I remember in the past where I had put the red label text, then a bunch of controls designed after it was all red.

  • File Checker system without the Vista installation DVD

    Hello

    Recently, I've been fixing a few problems with the OS (Vista 64 Home Premium) on my computer (HDX 1180ew). In an e-mail message containing a solution of possible problem, Microsoft support person suggested that it would be desirable to run the File Checker system (sfc/scannow command) that she "raise" files broken system, the restoration of their correct versions.
    Unfortunately, the SFC requires a DVD to be present in order to restore the Vista installation files. I got my computer with preinstalled operating system and do not have this DVD.
    Is there no workaround solution allowing to launch SFC and repair system files? Maybe HP recovery disks can contain files needed?

    Kind regards

    Yes, you will be fine without the disc.  It will not mess up your installed programs/system config... It simply scans your Windows files to ensure that they are not corrupted... then replace / repair of damage files it finds.
