results of the random search in history

(very) recently I started to find a (very) little research google, yahoo and bing that I did NOT do (me) in my story. Something else odd (to me): they seem to disappear from history as weel, without allow me to delete them.
How is this possible and what can / should do to avoid this problem does not happen? Thanks for the tips!

Found! Went through all the tips troubleshooting basic and that the last extension (of course), I checked was the cause: TrackMeNot - "it works in Firefox as a low priority process background that periodically issues requests from random search to popular search engines, for example, AOL, Yahoo!, Google, and Bing. It hides the tracks of real users search in a cloud of 'ghost' queries, greatly increasing the difficulty of aggregate that data into accurate or identifying user profiles. »
I had recently downloaded, as well as a few other extensions privacy improves as ghostery, in response to the amended google privacy policy without realizing how it works exactly.
My apologies for the noise!

  • How can I turn off default 1 search result in the awesome bar?

Since the release of 43, it seems that the Awesome bar fills the first result as a generic 'visit' or 'Search' for anything typed in the bar. It's very frustrating because I know where I want to go, and my search history used to fill specific sites, I went to. This new feature to the Awesome Bar takes you is a generic search engine default search, or right on the first page for a specific site.

For example, it may be a forum page that I regularly to. and in the latest Firefox would fill this page first in my results, which allows a fast navigation. However, the most recent update makes it do that the first result is a query to perform a generic search for what I typed in, or at best to take me to the first page of the site in question, make me have to either type the URL complete, favorite every page ever, I want to navigate to and just use bookmarks now or , or cross my fingers and pray that they default 1 result in the Awesome bar accurately reflects my wishes of navigation (which he never does).

    Is it possible to either:

    1. find the process that causes this 1 default result in the Awesome bar and disable/delete, preferably with extreme prejudice.

2 prevent the features of Firefox that interacts with a browser default search?

In its current form, I deliberately ignore the 1st result of the Awesome Bar, because it never fulfills what I want. Specifically, it will fill never I don't want things.

    Hi Danon72.

  • If FF 39.0 on a new PC with Windows 7 Pro 64 bits - in the sidebar search results bBookmarks are slow - is new facility there a solution for this?

Recently I've just set up a new PC with Windows 7 Professional (64 bit) as the operating system. I just imported bookmarks from my PC in one. HTML file, I created from my old PC. Now whenever I type a search term in the search box to refine my search for one of my favorites of many, sometimes even by typing in the term search begins to lag while I'm typing more letters. Search term/terms once entered, it seems to take 15-20 seconds before the results list appears. This used to be almost instantaneous in this same version of FF (39.0) on my old PC 64 bit of Windows 7 (Home Premium) to bring up the results. I already tried to install the add-on called "signed 1.3.1 - 0 maintenance of the premises and this time there really doesn't make any difference that it helped when I got FF 38.0.5 on my old PC to Win 7 64-bit." Can it still be addressed. Please update as soon as POSSIBLE with the solution.

Firefox on my desktop with windows 8.1 recently don't right notwork. After that I did a google search and click on the found result, Firefox opens a new window (this is the option you selected), and then immediately closed. This only occurs for some of the results. Others are okay. Also, if I click with the right button on the search results and let Firefox opens a new window, it works very well. Firefox on my laptop works very well too. Not sure what had happened.
I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled. The result is the same. I hope someone can help.

Disable AdBlock by using the arrow next to its icon. Load this web page.
Click the arrow, and then select disable on... Then enable AdBlock.

BTW, what is the web page? AB should only block ads.

I tried your method. This works. The funny thing is that if I unlock the Google search page, it solved the problem. The page had problem was:
    https://search.Yahoo.com/YHS/search?p=Time+Warner+Cable & ei = UTF - 8 & hspart = Mozilla & hsimp = YHS-001

  • By clicking on the Google search results lead to correct the page and then automatically redirects to a Yahoo page

I'll go into search parameter in Google, Google results appear, click on one of the results on the Google page, the page back but then turns immediately to a Yahoo page. Hello

Looks like you may have some malware. Please check your add-ons for all suspicious extensions:

    • Tools (or

      ) > Addons > Extensions

    • Alternatively, you can type Subject: addons in your address bar and then click on "Extensions".

Delete all suspicious extensions that you find. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause. A useful way to find the culprit is disabling half of your modules, if it redirects is more then the culprit is in the half you off, otherwise it is the left half you activated.

  • I perform a search, results, find the message I was looking for. How can I find this message in my folder structure and subfolder (relatively) complex?

    Hello
I use structured system subfolder to keep my organized emails (hundreds and hundreds of folders).
When I do a search, get the list of results and in this list, I found the email I was after, HOW can I find the message? In other words, how can I open the folder that contains this particular email?
Thank you in advance for your time and effort.

Right click on a folder, search for Messages, and then click 'Search subfolders', then enter the selection criteria, search, search for a result in the lower pane, then 'open folder '. The message is opened in the Message pane and the containing folder is highlighted in the folders pane.

It isn't a global search and location does not show the full folder path, but it is another option. Note that the location column can also be displayed in the message search window.

  • When you use the search bar, it is possible to get results of the search in a new tab?

In the old Google toolbar, it was possible to display the search results in a new tab, Google toolbar is compatible with Firefox 7, so I have to use the Firefox search bar. However, he always gets results the research in the current tab. Can this be changed?

Yes. Open a new tab and type or paste Subject: config in the address bar, press enter and press ENTER again to override the warning. Then stick browser.search.openintab in the filter area that shows, and then double-click the browser.search.openintab to activate (it will switch to "BOLD").

If you had rather an add-on simply do the above for you and add a menu option for it, try this:
    https://addons.Mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchOnTab/

You can also type a search in the search bar and press on alt + enter in instead of just enter to open your search in a new tab.

  • column of file missing in the bookmarks search results

In the library of all bookmarks page, when you search for bookmarks, the returned list does not record information. When I find dead links, I would go to this bookmark folder to see if there are any more stale bookmarks that are. I guess that more people use tags as the folders and subfolders to sort their bookmarks? For example, under Science, I have astronomy, physics, etc.

  • I can't use the promps search or search history, I have to type in the full research

When I type in the search box, suggested guest and search history is displayed, but when I use it, nothing happens, historical research and promps suggested search box just disappear, and I'm always on the current page. I have to type in the name of the site in the area of research before I can hit the search button.
This happened after my last firefox update

If you click on the 'down' arrow in the Google search box and then place your cursor over the term that you want in the search history for even a left click on the mouse and then hold the cursor over the keyword desired for a few seconds, it works.

Clearly a bug I hope that they will be in trouble.
