Returns the script error / complete the action?

Hello

I added a script action through 'menu command insert. The script can detect an error condition (selection does not meet the expectations of the script). In this case, I want to put an end to the action that calls the script. The best I can get so far shows a dialog box "press ok to continue if there is no error message.

I can make the script has an error (for example, by calling exit() function does not exist after an alert), but the action proceeds

Concerning

There is no direct way to stop an Action when he started, a way I think to work around the limitation is perhaps unload action? not tested, just an idea, we can not work, try it and let us know.

Another idea, create an empty document so your action tries to continue to work on it and it will fail, no big deal, it depends on what kind of error it gives you,

    Concerning

    James

Watch Me Do is designed to replay the same click of mouse and keyboard events to the same speed.  Think of driving your car to work and record each turn and stop.  Then play each round and down at the same speed.  What to do if while reading the traffic moves a little faster or a little slower?  If you drive the same route to work, you could get a red light at an intersection that you had a green light to yesterday.  "Watch Me" does not know how to deviate from these changes, so he'll just to stop and report an error.  If iTunes launches slower or an event during playback takes longer to achieve because of different background running processes, it will have the same effect.

Allowing automatic downloads in iTunes and help Automator to activate your device network at a specific time might be a better solution.

  • Problem with rename folders in Windows 7: get this error message: "the action cannot be completed because the folder or file is open in another program. Close the folder and try again. »

When I try to rename a folder in Windows 7 I get this error message: "the action cannot be completed because the folder or file is open in another program. Close the folder and try again. "Can anyone help?

I gave up and solved the problem by buying a third party software to use as a directory, Directory Opus.  It is much more functional than the Microsoft Directory and I have never problem renaming of files.  I am just amazed that so many people have this problem and Microsoft has not fixed.

  • Try to remove a CD image file, get the error message "this action cannot be completed because the file is open in another program.

I am trying to remove a file from CD image (.img) of my office

When I try to put it in the bin I get the message

"The action cannot be completed because the file is open in another program close the file, and then try again"

First, I checked the obvious things like if the .img file was mounted in a virtual drive - it isn't so I then used LockHunter to find which application is using the file so I can close by the Task Manager.

Unfortunately LockHunter told me that the file is used by 'System' - which cannot be closed through the TM.

    Any help?

The problem is that the program that allows you to mount the image always uses the image.  In my case I used the magical disc. Go to the start menu find the magic disk or folder folder, there should be an option to uninstall the magic disc. I tried UN-installing conrtol add and remove programs but it wouldn't let me. You can also click on computer in Start menu and see if the file you want to remove is always mounted (appears as a CD image). In this case that you can click the eject disc hit.

  • The action cannot be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer.

OK, it seems to be coming a lot but no one was able to respond (including Microsoft) so I'll ask, and be as specific as possible.

Because I work with vector art that I constantly have to save files by crush the and everything was cool with WinXP pro.  I have Win7 Pro and everything was cool, until recently.  Whenever I tried to overwrite my files, I would get an error message saying that the file was either dead or opened elsewhere, but it has happened about 50% of the time.  A launch the re-registration of files with different names.  After obtaining the files re-registered I then try to remove and rename files, but found I couldn't do it anymore, as I was constantly getting the error message "The action cannot be completed because the file is open in Windows Explorer."  Closing and reopening the browser do nothing.  Someone said if not empty the trash bin works, but not for me.  The files are on an external drive, I tried to disable the cache of writing by Device Manager and Windows Management Console (or other) frozen and took the pc with it (nice work, MS!).  Reboot seems to fix the problem for a bit, but he returned quickly and randomly.  It also seems to randomly select to lock files.  Some files I can not change, some that I can.  Others begin to operate after some time of inactivity.

I tried to disable thumbnails in Explorer and even added a DWORD NoThumbnailCache in the registry, but it still happens.  Basically, I'll have to save all of the new files over and over again and that from time to time be able to remove the "old" while being only randomly too write others.  This question seems to be infestation Vista and Win7 and people have waited for a fix, Microsoft, but was mum on the issue.  If anyone can come up with a solution, it would be great.  It is killing my productivity!

    Common guys...
Im having this problem too and I've been thought IE9 is at the origin of the problem, some how, I don't want to disturb...

    Here are some solutions:
Please note that I'm looking, there is not any solution patch for this program by Microsoft, you can maintain it yourself. And correct solutions in this way losses.

    Solution 1: Use CMD.
0 - note the following 3 steps will complete the process explorer.exe, so your desktop and windows Explorer all open files and any associated process would stop.
    1. run the Task Manager. (by pressing ctrl + shift + esc or etc)
2 - go to the processes tab.
3 - find "explorer.exe" and click on the button "complete the process". If you find several explorer.exe, kill them all.
    4. now, click the menu file-> new task (run...)
5 type CMD, and then click OK.
    6. now you can do something you couldn't have done before with this user interface. Some useful commands:
-cd: change the current directory. Use 'CD..' to the 'button' in windows Explorer.
-dir: lists the existing file and folders in the directory current. Use ' dir/p' to the list in the pages.
-del [file name]: removes the file [filename] existing in the current directory.
-Rename [name of file] [new file name]: rename the file [old file name] existing or a file existing in the current directory to [new file name].

Solution 2: Use a different file manager.
0 - install and run another Manager file as "XYPlore".
1 Note that the following 3 steps will end your explorer.exe process, so your desktop and windows Explorer all open records and all other related processes would cease.
    2. run the Task Manager. (by pressing ctrl + shift + esc or etc)
3 - go to the processes tab.
4 - find "explorer.exe" and click on the button "complete the process". If you find several explorer.exe, kill them all.
    5. use XYPlore UI and do what you want.
Please note that the problem could happen with this kind of external explorers too. So close any file and go into a secure after your working directory.

    Solution 3: Do it yourself!
If you can program, there are some codes that might help you. These codes which talks about Im, says MS Windows to remove your annoying pinned files just before you shut down the system.
    Here is an example:
    MoveFileEx ('C:\windows\system32\ld21E.tmp', nil, MOVEFILE_REPLACE_EXISTING or MOVEFILE_DELAY_UNTIL_REBOOT);
This code will work correctly in Delphi from Borland compilers, and as you can see, the "ld21e.tmp" file is deleted after compiling this code and restart your windows.

I wish I can do better, as to publish an Explorer that do what you want automatically, so I hope that these can be useful.
Some how you can check this thread too, it may be useful:

  • After you create the action sql script does not not for connector DBUM

    Hello

I'm trying to integrate the IOM with Oracle DB using Connector DBUM. Commissioning user works very well.

But after the transfer of the user, we need to insert (< user name >, "RLS_DEV") in the values in a table.

    It's my script

    INSERT INTO CAMPDB. RLS_USER_GROUPS (USERNAME, GROUPNAME) VALUES ({__NAME__}, "RLS_DEV");

I tried different options too, but nothing has worked. Either I get the invalid character or command SQL not properly completed or missing expression error.

    1) INSERT INTO CAMPDB. VALUES RLS_USER_GROUPS ({__NAME__}, "RLS_DEV") - without semicolon

    2) INSERT INTO CAMPDB. VALUES RLS_USER_GROUPS ({__NAME__}, 'RLS_DEV')) - closed at the end with double hook

    3) INSERT INTO CAMPDB. VALUES RLS_USER_GROUPS ({__NAME__}, RLS_DEV) - without quotes to RLS_DEV

    4) INSERT INTO CAMPDB. RLS_USER_GROUPS VALUES (__NAME__, 'RLS_DEV') - without flowers for __NAME__ necklaces

< username >-> is the name of the user configured on the system target.

-> GroupName is RLS_DEV. It is the same for all users.

But it is throwing errors like below.

  • Parser returned the error 0xC00CE566 help!

Hello Microsoft! :)      * Got to mentioned before starting! My English is so bad! and... I'm a fool to the system in computer science ==

I can't find a solution to solve the issue of the "Setup parse error", so I need help!
Because I can't attached images here, so I will attach a few links of the error. Sorry!
    Well, first of all! I mention that I used this old computer on 4years. And I can't play anygame, Sims2 & 3, Resident Evil1 ~ 5, Fear, Left4Dead1 & 2, and so on...
Since last Thursday, I played my favorite game, Sims3!  And it pops up an error...
    Error image:
I keep restarting and rebooting always cannot open the Sims3 Launcher, but I can still play "TS3.exe" is NOT TheSims3Launcher! I have although there is Sims3 error, ignore it and I play another game (Resident Evil), Popping Out error again! So I tried some of my games in my laptop, but fortunately some work normally and some error pops out!
So, I continue to find the solution for the error! I read alots of section in the Microsoft communityand do what the article says. But no solution!
I also have this reference article:
Because some of their problem is the blue screen and the error of the Analyzer when they start! ToT
I did as he said, run System File Checker (SFC.exe) and type sfc/scannow
Then start it again, but when it comes out an error saying cannot solve the problem.
So I run method 2: run the Startup Repair by using the Windows Vista installation disc
But still can not help. I restore the system to the point different.
No solution too, after the restoration, it restarts and goes back to the desktop, so I run Sims3, but error pops up once again. ==
So I have different restore point, but the same question... Configuration parse error!
Some of the article Turn Windows Feature On or Off. So, I try to turn on and off all in the box of Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1. Restart, and restart. Then I try to activate some and disable some, restart, then restart.
Image to activate or disable the functionality in Windows

I though that solves the problem. But still, pops up an error...
==... I continue to find solution around these days... If I'm helped Microsoft! D
I thought to uninstall it and reinstall, but is not in the section Uninstall or change a program . I found MICROSOFT.NET Framework 4 Client Profile and Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Extended only...
The Uninstall or change a program image below section is:
    Then he says,
    Parse error
    C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG \machine.config
    Parser returned the error 0xC00CE566
Then I went to C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\config \machine.config and check my "machine.config" lack.
But it's still there and I went to click on all those who ".exe" (application) in the Framework folder (because I'm and silly) xD ".
I thought that all of the problem solves but still error Parsing comes out when I run Sims3Launcher.exe ==
Well, I don't know this is my computer problem, but before Thursday last, everything works perfectly...
But I still want to show my 'OLD' portable system
The system image: (if I scroll down it was the product key, so I jump, isn't bad, right?)

Microsoft hopes to help, I can do some steps you call me to do!
Please answer weather you have or no solution :(
    I can't wait! ToT x 9999999 thanks Microsoft!
    Thank you<>
    Louis

    Hey andrewsu,

Thanks for the reply! : D
None of them works for me, but I found a solution here:

The steps are: * (copied from a user)

-Go to the folder C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727\CONFIG\, do a right-click the machine.config file, and then select Properties.

-On the Security tab, click on the Advanced button and from there, click on the owner tab.

-Choose your user account under the heading "change owner to" and click on apply.

-Return to the Security tab in the previous window, then click the button change.

-To give you complete control over the files.

-It may be a good idea to make copies of the machine.config and machine.config.default files if you have not already.

-Rename the file 'machine.config' to 'machine.config1' or something like that.  Then rename 'machine.config.default' just 'machine.config '.

After you rename and apply, everything works fine for me ~ ^^

But some problems persist at the launch of some software ~

But the games work perfectly ~! xDD

Thank you very much for your help! xDD

  • VISA IC returns the 0xBFFF003A error code when reading the USBTMC device

    Hello

I'm creating a USBTMC device and have some difficulty to determine why a viRead returns the 0xBFFF003A error code. Strangely enough, it reports also to read the correct byte number and the buffer contains the correct data. I use VISA IC 5.1.2 but I had the same problem with version 5.0.3. I have no problem with the device recognized by VISA IC, MAX, LabVIEW SignalExpress or LabVIEW. Using the previous version of VISA IC performing an async read would return a code completion, 0x3FFF009B (VI_SUCCESS_SYNC).

The attachment of the utility Trace all communications from e/s or watch for when the USB cable is plugged into the computer.

Lines 1-18 LabVIEW SignalExpress 2011 has begun

Lines 19-35 VISA IC: open the selection

    Line 36 VISA IC: claire

Line 37 VISA IC: Read - 10 characters

Line 38 VISA IC: Read - 21 characters

Lines 39-44 LabVIEW: open, read 21 characters

Line 45 VISA IC: Read - 18 characters

    Line 46 VISA IC: claire

Line 47 VISA IC: Read - 18 characters

    Line 48 VISA IC: closed

Note: LabVIEW crashed on line 44.  At the moment I know not whether that is related to this problem or not.

Full error description: failed to start the read operation because the installer is not valid (because of attributes defined in an inconsistent state).

I'm confused by why it says it cannot start operation when in fact, it returns the requested data and attributes that it refers to? I reviewed the USB descriptor values that I use, and they look correct to me.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hi Perry,

I found the problem.  The TransferSize didn't get converted from big-endian to little endian and 0x0A was considered 0xA000000.

    See you soon,.

  • "File in use: the action cannot be completed because the folder or file is open in another program" when you rename a folder with Thumbs.db inside

I looked at many similar responses but no nails really our problem.

On a Windows client 7 to rename a folder that is located on a file server running SBS 2003.  When you try to rename a file that has a file "thumbs.db" in there he throws the message "file in use: the action cannot be completed because the folder or file is open in another program. and then it won't let you rename it.  This isn't a problem with other XP clients attached to the same server.  We have reduced to folders that have this file thumbs.db in through trial and error.

It will work when you show just the icons which is unacceptable.  However, you can rename a folder that is located on the customers own local disk.

Suggestions - we can work around it, but it of inturupting workflow and is old fashioned all simply boring.
