  I understand that shift key of your MacBook Pro does not respond as before. Fortunately the steps below can help to restore the functionality of the SHIFT key on your Mac.

  1. In the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. On the view menu, choose the speech.
  3. Click on the text to Speech tab.
  4. If "Text Speak selected when you press the button" is enabled, the key or combination of keys set to read the text cannot be used for other purposes, or used for typing text - click on set the key and replace it with a less commonly used key combination (try using the modifier such as SHIFT keys, command) Option and control). Or disable the option "Read the selected text when the key is pressed".
  5. Click the accessibility pane or universal access in system preferences, and then click the keyboard tab.

• If the keyboard is connected and detected by OS X, the keys you type will highlight in the keyboard Viewer window. Open TextEdit (or any text application) and try to type something using the keys that failed before to see if they highlight in the keyboard Viewer.

  To me that sounds more like a keyboard failure, I can't imagine that it could be linked to the question of the windows operating system do you have tested an external USB keyboard.

  Please test this. In this case, you can check if it s really a software problem.

  I think the best option would be if you connect an external keyboard and test it. You can connect it via USB.
  If you have desktop, take the keyboard and test it on your laptop.

  If the external keyboard works, you need a new internal keyboard. New keyboards are not so expensive then contact ASP and ask for it. ;)

  I am trying to add seats and circle shapes to a Captivate 8 project.

  Until I click to draw the shape, I hold down the SHIFT key to constrain the proportions. Captivate draw me an oval or rectangle all the same.

  Error test I tried:

  1. You attempt to add a square in PowerPoint to now SHIFT work (so not a hardware issue?)
  2. Resizing my dratted rectangles and ovals to now SHIFT in Captivate forced the proportions, but not to a shape, I need!
  3. Now SHIFT while resizing of images also forced the proportions.
  4. The same error occurs also in my copy of Captivate 7?

  I'm completely stumped. I know it's the basic function, but it is vital for me to be able to create a team available. Is it simply not possible to draw from the "perfect" square and circles in Captivate?

  Look no further, Captivate doesn't have that 'basic' feature at all. Sign in please, apply. Apparently only few users is absent, because it has never been on the priority list. I've been this logging for all versions from 5... but without success. And don't forget: I think it's really an essential feature. Work to MOVE when you want to maintain the proportions, is not to draw a circle or a square. You must change the size by using the properties, and it takes a lot of clicks, certainly in CP8.

  This is my first post so I hope someone can help out me. I had to open my laptop because my power connector moved inside my laptop and I was unable to load the machine.

  I opened the case very carefully and repositioned the power outlet. When I put the machine back together right or left buttons or the touchpad would work. I never even touched anything around the touchpad.

  I just lifted the upper right of the case so that I could slot of the power supply in place.

  Any help would be really appreciated.
  I tried FN and F9 to see if it would open the touchpad. I also tried to take out the battery and pressing the button for 30 seconds, none of them worked (I read this in other forums).

  I guess that the touchpad worked correctly until you have opened and taken apart the laptop.
  Is this good?

  Well, I put t know why the touchpad buttons don t work, but in my opinion you damaged/disconnected something during the disassembly procedure and so the buttons don't work now.

  I wouldn't recommend disassemble this laptop again because as you can see many other parts can be damaged or affected and this is why I recommend to contact a technician from mobile who could check this and might solve your problem from touchpad button.

  I'm having a weird behavior with the right shift key and the numeric keypad. This happens when you use view 4 with PCoIP. When you use RDP to connect to a system and using the console in vSphere.

  To illustrate the differences in the way he behaves, I typed the following string in an RDP session and a Console Session of vSphere.

  If you are using a desktop computer, the first thing to try is another keyboard and see if this fixes the problem

  If a laptop try a usb keyboard

  If that works for the laptop, contact the manufacturer of the laptop

  I really put t know what you think when you know that there is no connection for each unique key, but for the entire keyboard.
