Ringtones/notifications

Where are the notifications/ringtones stocks? Calendar and Contacts show me a list of files that I copied to/storage/emulated/0/Ringtones, but they don't show any of the pre-installed sound files. Notification of calendar is actually still on "Default ringtone (Droid Notification)", but if I ever change that by selecting one of my sounds, I don't see how I'll be able to restore.

I wonder if there is a default value defined in an application that you can't see the default sounds. The best way to find out would be to tap Settings > applications > Menu > reset the application preferences. If you do this, remember that all the default values on the phone will be reset. It is not a major event, you just choose your default settings for all again once you open files with different applications.

There is an application called 'Default App Manager Lite' which will show you all the defaults set on the phone for each app using this app you can understand that is the app you can't see the default sounds. Please let me know if this helps or not. HTH

  • BlackBerry smartphones, what are your ringtones/notifications?

Hello world! I love spending my notifications from time to time to keep things fresh. I was curious to know what everyone uses. Please publish the names of your favorite ringtones or notifications, or simply what you use right now. Here's what I have for my main points:

    BBM: BBPro_Confirm

    Calendar: BBIntense_BigDrum

    Facebook: BBInspired_Encompass

    Google Talk: Notifier_ChiGong

    Main e-mail: BBInspired_Orchess

Phone: Jurassic 5 - high fidelity

    Text: BBPro_Advance

Cool. Thanks tanzim. I was mostly just curious. You wanted to see what others use and if I've been missing out on cool tones.

  • Email and Notifications of Message ringtone

I'm currently developing my Defy so that only text massage gives an audible notification.

Email and social messaging are set to 'silent' ring, while text messaging has a ringtone that are entrusted to him. But I still have the standard for Email Messaging & social ringtone notification. Any help to silence my Defy would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

I have not found a decent way to get this working. I would still recommend LightFlow however.

Check if you set ringtones for specific contacts. A framework for a specific contact overrides the default setting.

For the time being to uninstall all ring your apps Associates (including ringo lite).

If you go to Menu-> settings-> sounds and ringtones-> Notification ringtone can't change the tone of your notifications?

If you go to Menu-> settings-> sounds-> ringtone ringtones can change you the tone for your default ringtone?

If this is not the case, try:

Turn the phone off and then on again. You can change the tone now?

With your phone, remove the battery, leave it for a minute, put the battery back and power on the phone. You can change the tone now?

If these two do not work, you should try a factory data reset. Make sure you know the email address used for Motoblur and the password. You can check by logging on to the site of Motoblur. If you have purchased any brand of apps that you use the same gmail account when you set up your phone because your google account out of the market is bound to this address.

  • How can I make audio files on my SD card appear on the list of ringtones and notifications?

    Hi all

I've had my Moto Droid for a few weeks now and am loving every minute!  It's a little heavy, but the thing is as strong as a brick with the right case and screen protector.

My problem is that I read a previous posting on this forum that says to create folders on the SD card that is called:

    sounds

    Media

    ringtonesnotificationsalarms

It was supposed to go to the Android OS to recognize some sound files that I put in the files and let me use them as ringtones, notifications, and alarms.  Once I disassembled the Droid to my computer and removed it once again on the phone, I checked the list of ringtones and none of them were there (which had no alarms or notifications).  I even rebooted the unit and that they were not yet available from the SD card.

Any suggestions?  Note that I missed?

I just wanted to be clear.  The DCIM folder is located in the root directory and you want the media to be in the directory folder root and not in the DCIM folder.

  • Choose a song for a ringtone - almost can not hear it.

Hi everyone - I'm new here and new to Sony with a Z2 Xperia... coming from a Samsung S3.

I tried to select a song for the ringing of the phone. When selected, the phone plays the song beautiful and strong. But aftr select the song and click done... and then to receive a call, I can barely hear the ringtone/song, just the vibrate function.

I hope there is a simple solution and just something miss me.

did you check the volume of ringtones? Make sure that the volume of 'Ringtones & notifications' is seto to Max and unchecked "increasing ringtone." see if that helps.

  • Drag drop/alarm ringtones

OK, some time ago I have a few songs that she 'ringtones' with my notification folder. Now, I can't find this file at all. the songs are still on the phone and play. but I wanted to change it and I can not find this folder. I have a ringtones folder that leads to a folder but notifications or set my alarm clock. any suggestions?

Here are some things I've done. put a song in almost every case, the failure.

Put a record, ringtone and notification called alarm, then a song, fail.

    your help would be appreciated.

Files for ringtones are as follows:

    Notifications: / sdcard/media/audio/notifications

    Ringtones: / sdcard/media/audio/ringtones

    Alarms: / sdcard/media/audio/alarms

If you access these files via a computer and not with a like Astro file manager, omit the part /sdcard to the path.

It should be noted, however, these files do not contain the built in ringtones/notifications, but only those that you add about yourself.  If these folders do not exist, you can create and fill it with the audio and ringtones should be available in their respective places.

  • Volume buttons control only the ringer volume

It seems that the volume buttons on the side of the phone just control the ringer volume. On other Android phones, ringtone and Notification volumes have been linked together for ease of use.

On the Droid Ultra/Maxx, there are four different volumes: media, ringtones, Notifications, and alarms. And none of them are interconnected. It is extremely annoying for many reasons, the main reason being there is no easy way to lower or increase the volume of ringtone and Notifications at the same time by using the volume buttons.

The ring volume is adjustable to the max, but the text message sound will be very quiet. Or the ring volume can be set down, but text message noise will be very strong.

Is it possible to fix this?

  • incoming ring and text very low volume!

Hi, recently noticed that when I lower the volume level for music, games, video and other media, it also reduces my ringtone and notification volume level too! (even if the level of the slider bar is on max for ringtones, notifications). so if for example I that video down on youtube etc, it takes my volume of text and call down too! This allows to happen and only noticed when I saw led missed call, text, flashing.try your own z3c?

    settings-

    Sound-

    volumes-

    music, video, etc. (bottom)-

    Ringtone & notification (max)

    Ok.

Are now looking for incoming call, volume of text (very low on mine) so I have to reset the music, video, games, etc to max to hear incoming calls, texts, but I don't want to max volume for music, video.

BTW, I'm still on kitkat 4.4.4 but like I said volume levels could be addressed individually for unpacking.

now strange is my companion has MS xperia and I checked her yesterday and it had the same problem (jellybean) and because its volume level on the video, games etc is low, but max on ringtone, text lacks too calls and texts! (unless of course he puts in maximum volume on video games). also using volume on the side of the phone has no effect either.

    any ideas?

    Cheers.

just stumbled on this comment on another issue and realized that even if was weak on the preview, it was ok on the actual volume of text and incoming call! so happy again!

Setting, Date & time - set your time zone, Auto update time zone - on

Battery life improves after a week or two, but will probably exceed never 12 hours with BT and WiFi continuously on, I load all night.

Each Contact can have a distinctive ring, Notifications, Contacts > customize to Contact (bottom)

Global ringtone, Notifications, requests > phone > Tone - select the tone or browse music.

  • Number of smart phones blackBerry either sound

My Blackberry Storm has worked great up to this point, but then all the sudden today it brings more noise whatsoever. The vibration still doesn't work, but there is no sound. Can I still call the people and hear the voicemail and that, but the sounds by default such as ringtones, notifications, everything to do with multimedia content (music, videos, etc.) its all stop somehow. The music does not play.

I am sure that the unit is not on mute, and bluetooth is disabled if its not should be being directed to the bluetooth headset. Someone at - he had got ideas or similar problems?

    Thank you

Try to reset the unit, remove the battery for 30 seconds and reinstall again, let me know.

  • Audio. OGG files and. MP3

The default file type used for ringtones and notifications for the Droid is a. OGG file.  I was able to use MP3 files for ringtones, but the menu of notification will not recognize the MP3, I want to use for messages, etc.  Why work for ringtones and notifications not?  I used an application called Zedge is a MP3 site, and when I go into the options of Doird now to set up a notification tone it gives me the possibility to use a downloaded Zedge MP3 file.  -Why not allow that from the get-go, and what is - this. OGG file type?

colabear, I'm able to use any mp3 I want as a ringtone, alarm, or notification tone; Therefore, I'm not entirely sure why you aren't. I've been able to discern a subtle problem that the droid has some id3tags when using some mp3 files, but it prevents me to play them or use them as ringtones. Have you done a notifications folder on your sd card? In the top of the page directory of the sd card, create a folder called "media". Inside of this, create one called "Audio". Inside of "Audio", create three folders: ringtones, Notifications, and alarms. Put any mp3 that you like in each, and the files should appear as selectable tones for each of the categories.

If this does not work, then you could try to ensure that your mp3s are encoded properly. With the help of a free toold called (I kid you not) "GSpot", you can analyze the file and it will tell you what size it is. You can also simply re - encode the mp3 using a number of tools.

OGG is simply a container of the audio codec format. OGG used to be a container for audio and video, but it is now mainly used in conjunction vorbis.

  • Cannot turn off the vibration on the ringtone and Notifications

    Hello!

I have search on all the menus that has XT1542 and I found no article that I can change something to completely disable the vibrations of the smartphone.

Why do I need it? Because:

A-I have the phone to view and I want a low buzzing sound rather a table vibrant and made big noise on a silent office.

B when I leave the phone, I'd rather listen to ringtone rather trying to hear the hum in clothes. It is almost impossible to detect if the softer clothes have my phone.

Completely disable the notifications and ringtones is not an option. I want to hear notifications but not 'feel' them.

    Thanks for any response.

It's there, it's just hard to find. Settings-> account settings (press the name)-> notifications - his choice and toggle the vibrate
