RoboHelp Explorer cannot start Microsoft Word

I have existing projects in RoboHelp for Word (7). I went out to open the .hlp file and I get the following message: "Explorer of RoboHelp is unable to start Microsoft Word." I don't know why I get this message. Here are a few things that have changed:

  1. My old broken computer and all my applications should be installed on a new computer.
  2. My original Word files were all conducted in 2003. Now I have 2007.

When I open the file, I see the Word doc and the transition from Solution Explorer, but I can't access anything whatsoever. When I try, I get the above message said. Help!

No is one of the outputs. HPJ is the RoboHelp project Word file.

Open an existing project (new to me) puts the word in the right size window (overlaps the editor-in-Chief) and I can't go back to RoboHelp Editor window (busy / hourglass) unless I close the Word window first. Closure of the Word window gets a message that the Publisher of RoboHelp is unable to start Microsoft Word, even if the word was running. However, after the closure of Word, I could return to the RoboHelp Editor window.

I can start a new project and import the .doc files. But that works for as much as the above problem is concerned, tends to make a mess and many needs of the work of recovery for things like him browse sequences.

The essential home looking back through the thread, seems to be:

I assume you mean in fact of 'problems' - plural - and both disappear, it's need this project which gives grief. Fix?

  • "Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook" error message when you try to click on a name or contact us on a Web site to send a msg email on Outlook/microsoft office 2003

"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook" error message when you try to click on a name or contact us on a website to send an email on Outlook/microsoft office 2003 Vista OS msg. My laptop came with Microsoft Office 2007 TRIAL version, but I already had Microsoft Office Pro 2003, so loaded on when I got it almost a year ago. My trial expired months ago... but never uninstalled cause 2003 worked. Then I wanted to do something in WORD and kept pulling up the 2007 trial and was confusing, so I sent the 2007 trial stuff to recycle bin, but not yet the uninstall. Since then all of a sudden I started to get this error msg. I can open OUTLOOK very well... BUT I don't even use OUTLOOK at all. I send from comcast.
    1. How can I get rid of this error?
    2. does anyone know how I can get my comcast open up when I go to a website to webmaster option instead of defaulting to outlook? And I already checked, "set as my default" is NOT enabled in outlook.

  • Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window.

I tried running Outlook.exe / resetnavpane because I see it worked for a ton of people - but I got the error message "cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook.  The command line argument is not valid.  Check the switch you are using.

This is almost always due to:

    1. you have an older version of Outlook that does not have command line switch.  What version of Outlook you have?
    2. you have not put a space between "Outlook.exe" and "/ resetnavpane.

  • Cannot open Microsoft Word Starter on my Satellite C660

    Hello

I'm good with computers, so any help at all would be much appreciated!
I have a Toshiba C660 and use Microsoft Word Starter since my documents which have come on the laptop.
Today I went to open one of my existing documents and got a message saying

"Microsoft Word Starter cannot be opened. Please try again or repair the product in the Panel. »

I went to the Control Panel, but to be honest, I have no idea what I'm doing.
    Can anyone help?

Are you using the original pre-installed version you got with your laptop?
How long do you already use?
You have activated the trial version preinstalled?

  • HR X5.0.2 - & quot; Cannot find Microsoft Word installed on your system & quot;

I spent maybe an hour reading the thread 100plus-message on this issue regarding HR 7. Thank you for all your work and various suggestions and observations for registration!

Anyone have a suggestion for me, who still uses the old HR 5? (I use the Word 2003 and Windows XP Professional operating system).

    A few thoughts-
-I see HR, under Tools > Options > HTML editors, that the word path is correct for where is my word. I wonder, that the name in this list of HTML editors is "Word." Should I change it to "Microsoft Word"?

-In addition, would there be an advantage to the deletion of the current element of Word in the list of HTML editors and then add back?

(Keep in mind that I'm mainly just a RoboHelp USER and NOT a Windows or expert systems, I want to be very careful when changes to an application, because I don't want to not break anything, or worse they are today).

    Thank you for your suggestions.

Good news! I AM now ABLE to generate documentation printed my version RoboHelp X5.0.2 program!

The solution to my problem (I think) was that I had to...
---> close all Microsoft Word documents<>
.. .. .before opening RoboHelp (as indicated in the "Generating printed documentation" RoboHTML online help topic) To be sure, I closed not only all Word documents, but actually, I closed all of the MS Word program and restarted my computer before opening RoboHelp.

I'm not sure whether specific parameters are passed on the success of Robo-the user, but these are the settings that worked for me:
-General page: I selected 'unique', and
for images, I chose "integrate into documents.
    -Conditional Build: 'none '.
-Content: (I scrolled the list on the right for all my subjects were listed, and then I moved the next page.)
-Section layout: I made no change
-Appearance: I kept the default ' use CSS styles project.

Another tip: (my colleague, Jeff, discovered this) If you get a warning message about a macro, it probably means that your security level for macros in Word is set too high. To change this setting, open Word, select Tools > Options, click the Security tab, click the macro security button, and then select medium or low. After you make this change, the output of the word and return to RoboHTML to generate your printed documents.
