root access

How do you get to the Sony Tablet S root access?

I want to use one of the samba applications, but you need root access to use them.

I want to mount my directories of media to make my pictures, video and music available at the Gallery, video player and music player to my content is added to their scanning/database.

Tried the DLNA app but it's terrible to navigate in the content and user experience very very basic.

Thank you.

P.S., Sony's Marketing really exaggerate the quality of the default software for the Tablet. Compared to the iPad, it's just sad to use.

  • VCS Virtual X 8 / Root access

    Hello world

    Just a quick question.

    Since the last update of x7.2 to x8.1, virtual VCS in a cluster is not accessible with root login.

    The strange thing is that a fast track (device), within the same infrastructure is accessible via the root.

    It does even more on the vmware console.

    Any suspicion or have you seen this problem yet?

    Bravo and thank you for your answers,

    See you soon,.

    Jul

    I can't really interpret your last message.

    You said 'connections series' where do you use it on a virtual serial ports of vcs - c?

    Do you have pwrec command to run and reset the password?

    Please see the guide to the administrator for more entries!

    The needs of VCS be restarted just to re - define the password password through pwrec, please follow the Administrator's guide.

    pwrec should be done via the virtual console in ESXi.

    (guess a virtual serial port might also work, but I've never tried and also why make it more complicated).

    Try something simple, like 8 characters containing A - X characters and 0-9 to rule out the possibility of keyboard problems.

    BTW, if you have the key to the strengthening of security, root access is disabled.

  • SE host root access of vCenter (somehow)

    I've got 2 hosts which I can access via vCenter (domain admin creds). However, we never gave the root password (or no matter what password) for the local hosts. Now, I am loaded with access to the root of these hosts. They are guests of production so I cannot restart them on a whim but can schedule a reboot if it will certainly make me access. In addition, guests are a few States away so I don't (yet) have console access.

    Any suggestions?

    I see two methods that may work. The first depends on your licenses, i.e. requires Enterprise Plus license. In this case, you can set the password using profiles of the host (see, for example, http://www.vladan.fr/how-to-reset-esxi-5-x-root-password-and-under-which-conditions/). The second method-I've never used myself - is to modify the hosts to authentication AD (which you already did), create an ad "ESX Admins' with the right AD users group, and then connect to the host using the user account AD to change the root password. You may need to wait a few minutes for the ESXi host pick up the members of the AD Group.

  • Stage.stageWidth root access

    Hello

    So I try to make a simple graph with definitions of reversal. I have the chart on a single layer to the root and the definitions. I have an MC of the hit test the following:

    var defbox:info = new info();
    var mcName  = this.name;
    var xPos =  (MovieClip(parent).stage.stageWidth)/2;
    var yPos =  (MovieClip(parent).stage.stageHeight)/2;

    this.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouse_over);

    function mouse_over(event:MouseEvent):void {
         this.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER, mouse_over);
         this.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, mouse_out);
         this.addChild(defbox);
         defbox.x = xPos-350;
         defbox.y = yPos-350;
         defbox.alpha = .95;
         defbox.title.title.text = MovieClip(parent).titles[mcName];
         defbox.def.text = MovieClip(parent).definitions[mcName];
         defbox.def.autoSize = "center";
         defbox.body.height = defbox.def.height + 25;
         defbox.title.y = defbox.body.y -8;

         this.removeEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE_OUT, mouse_out);
         this.removeChild(defbox);

    The problem is that the responsible namely MC defbox is wouldn't the height (or stage.width/2). It seems to be somewhere loading compared to the tester hit (the mc where the mc defbox is loading). I can't access the root scene. I'm sure that every registry MCs are normal. Any suggestions? Thank you.

    use:

  • Root access level control

    In Flash, you can use "_root." to access the top-level items. For example, in Flash if you create a textinput and a new class object function, I can say, _root.textinput.text as below

    class MyClass
    {
    public MyClass()
    {
    _root. TextInput.Text = "haha."
    }

    }

    So my question is how can I access level controls root in Flex?
    I have a list control named, shoppingCartList and I have a newly created class object called shoppingCartObject that will be created at the beginning. And in my class, I have a function which should something like _root.shoppingCartList.dataProvider = product_ary. But in Flex there is no variable of that type as "_root". How can I achieve this in Flex?

    Thank you

    Example:
    Application.application.shoppingCartList.dataProvider = product_ary;

    You need to import mx.core.application.

  • root access to some commands crsctl

    The GI Version: 11.2.0.3
    Platform: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.8

    Most of the commands of crsctl can be run while connected as a network user. But some of the crsctl commands as below to be executed while connected as user root.
    $ crsctl start cluster -n sdasher199
    CRS-4563: Insufficient user privileges.

    What type crsctl commands must be run as root? Is there a list or is there a way to identify?

    That's as close as I've seen... it tells you what commands require root:

  • Root access to the Timeline button

    Hello

    I think it's a pretty basic thing to do, but I can't seem to understand. I have a clip ( mc1) with a button ( btn1) and a clip ( mc2) inside. The button plays this second integrated clip ( mc2). In this second clip ( mc2), I have a button ( btn2), when you click on it, I want to cause the first button ( btn1) (on the root timeline) to disappear. Is this possible, and if so, could you help me find a way to do it?

    Thank you
    Brad

    EDIT: Just for it's easier to visualize, here's a relevant hierarchy:
    MC1
    ------- btn1
    ------- mc2
    ------------- btn2

    my mistake. You are right. no parent of btn2 no code, so btn2 is no problem to meet with managers of mouse.

    This._parent._parent.Btn1 is the correct reference to btn2 btn1.

  • Access disabled root but 'other '.... "still appears on the login screen

    I went into Preferences > users and disabled root access, but after reboot, 'other... '. "still shows up on my logon screen.   If Root access is disabled, why 'other... '. "still the poster on the logon screen?   I would get to only show my user login on the login screen only.

    If it is greyed out... It is the way that is supposed to be. I don't know any way to remove it. Unless unlock you the lock click on it and click on the negative area. Why would you want to get rid of it. If it is not gray. Click on the lock, click on the user and uncheck the allow to log on to this computer. You will need to enter your password each time that unlock you. This is done in system preferences.

  • Root AND non-root ssh access

    Hello

    Is it possible to leave the root and non-root ssh users access on a server esxi (3.5).

    I like my scripts to a minimum access but keep my root access on the server.

    The solution w on the yellow bricks, where everything indicates, disables the root access.

    Thank you

    The user that you create has a valid shell?

    During the user add (using VIC), you can specify this option... or you need to check/etc/passwd to see if the shell is the same of the root user.

  • How to move Windows PCS don't have do not have access to the root?

    So I installed WINDOWS PCS so I could copy the ISOs to my ESX hosts and I have access denied because obviously cannot do it without root access.

    I can connect with my non-root user account and copy the images in my directory, but I want to put a place where a couple of our admins can access.

    Start an RDP session on the host to vCenter. Open your Virtual Infrastructure Client. Make sure that you are in hosts and Clusters inventory view. Select any host and find the section of the data store on the right side of the middle. Right click on the data store where you want to store the ISO and select Browse the data store. Create a folder, and then on the button transfer. It will guide you through from there.

  • Security problem? Getting root is ridiculously easy.

    Well, then I noticed the other day that an app (can't remember which) that usually of guests for my password to get root privileges didn't do - it just keeps going do need privileges for.

    I remembered that shortly before, I used sudo in iTerm to run a command with root privileges, and I know that OS X is not asking your password the first time you run sudo unless a certain number of minutes has elapsed. I had assumed that this behavior would be local to the thread which you initially provided the password, what would have been the zsh session in iTerm. However, it seemed that he was local, at the session of zsh, zsh, or the iTerm. A completely different application had apparently grafted on my sudo 'session' and acquired the rights root without my permission.

    I tested this by issuing a sudo command in zsh in iTerm, and then, after giving my password, I opened Terminal with bash and issued a command sudo there. No guest password, root privileges instant.

    On this basis, it is clear that any application that is running as a user who can run sudo to obtain root privileges (which is any normal OS X user) can wait for the user to run sudo and immediately obtain root access on the system. Know when the current user runs sudo is easy, such an event is written to the syslog.

    Proof of concept. Quick-n-dirty. Save as a script and run in a terminal window. Then run sudo in another Terminal window. The script will intercept the sudo event and write the empty file "kilroy was here", as root: wheel, at the root of the drive.

    #! / bin/bash

    tail-f n 0 /var/log/system.log | grep m 1 EI ' sudo\ [[0-9] +------]: \s+'$USER

    echo «go play with root privs...» »

    sudo touch/kilroy-was-here

    This seems... Bad... Thoughts?

    Daniel
