RootKit Revealer

Y at - it a compatible version of RootKit Revealer for 64-bit operating systems?

Hello

Rootkit Revealer is only 32-bit at present.

Sysinternals - RootkitRevealer - free
http://TechNet.Microsoft.com/en-us/Sysinternals/bb897445

These can help:

TDSSKiller.exe. - Download the desktop - so go ahead and right-click on it - RUN AS ADMIN
It will display all the infections in the report after you run - if it will not run changed the name of
TDSSKiller.exe to tdsskiller.com.

If we suspect Rootkits use this thread (UnHackMe run and others as required)

http://social.answers.Microsoft.com/forums/en-us/InternetExplorer/thread/a8f665f0-C793-441A-a5b9-54b7e1e7a5a4/

  • Alureon Rootkit bar me bad. HELP Please!

Hello dear users of Windows. This is my first post here, because the problem is so serious that even I could not remove it (or I don't know I did).

    Problem:

I was infected by the famous Alureon rootkit.

    Reason:

I think it has been updated for Windows. I updated Windows 2 months ago, and after it had to restart windows. I restarted windows and it loads perfectly, but when I click on Internet Explorer to make sure that no new updates, my computer was attacked by at least 10-13 virus/worms. My AV-> Avast! Internet Security is crazy, it was like: a thread has been detected, was detected a thread, a thread has been detected, a thread has been detected so I did not wait for him to remove them I was very shocked so I emidietly restart the computer. It's my BIGGEST mistake. After reboot avast cleaned a few worms in the temporary folders, but these verses have been just a small fry. The real deal is that Alureon that injected somewhere

    Symptoms:

-L' massive attack on Internet Explorer.

-Blue screens of death at startup pointing to important system files, windows will load after reboot of the 5th.

-Sometimes I get Restrictions folders-> your security current settings do not allow you... blah blah (change of the configuration)

What I used to optimize the pc and remove the errors & virus (Optimizors):

    -Win XP Optimizer: 4 times

    -Error Repair Professional: 4 times

-Speed UP My PC: 4 times

    -PC Health Advisor: 4 times

    -Driver Scanner: 4 times

    -CCleaner: 4 times

    -Registry Mechanic: 4 times

    -Advanced System Optimizer: 4 times

    -Your Uninstaller: 4 times

    -HiJackThis: 2 times

-Malicious Microsoft Software Removal Tool: 2 times

    - Avast! Internet Security: 1 all the discs, normal, max and 1 System Boot Scan

I tried stuff even more (they are my usual optimizers)... nothing

    I want to add:

It is a lot worse then it sounds at first. He even tried some of my ACC, even now, all that remains are the blue screens at startup. Avast! Security is one of the best AV out there it scans everything that happens and I have no notification of rootkits since it happened. I know he's hiding it's self, but I can't even see it running in the Task Manager... I guess it runs only until windows loads... PLEASE HELP ME!

    P.S.:

-Formatting the drives, reinstall Windows, updated for Windows Vista/7 or Linux or any other operating system are not an option.

@joelj1964 - Yah... Thanks for nothing...

@ GTS - NJ - UM, um, that I realized, he could not be Alureon, BUT DID I had put it to day in-depth Windows and Yes, I did managed to remove it.

    Here's how I did it:

I turned on Avast! Shields of Internet Security to the MAX

I Ran Kaspersky Lab tool for rootkits, it finds only c:\windows\system32\drivers\sptd.sys locked

Other rootkit removal tools I ran were Buster of Sopshos Anti-Rootkit, Gmer, Rootkit, Rootkit Revealer.

They found a large number of infected files sys I removed and restered with those in SafeMode (sfc/scannow) clean (I have not found in a big box store so the stuff above... I am my only computer scientist, sorry = /)

A ran my default optimizers and updated many drivers restore those infected

Results: System running faster, faster start-up, there wasn't No 10/05/20 system restarts before loading windows-online WINDOWS 10 LATEST UPDATES ACT AS THEY have not been INSTALLED.

My Question: When the windows updates will be safe for users of Windows XP new :((

I thank very you much for the replies!

My question is: how to get it there?  How can I get rid of him?

Also when my rootkit revealer is run, it does not work on my desk: here is the message I received:

"A program on this computer tries to display a message."

    It gives me two options:

    Display the message

    Ask me later

When I view the message, it goes from the screens and shows me the progress of the rootkit revealer

A SOLUTION WOULD BE GREAT!  ANY HELP IS REALLY APPRECIATED

    Thank you

    A +, MCP

I get exactly the same results on my computer, Karim.  I think that Rootkit Revealer is giving false positives and none of us has a rootkit.  You can find more information in the Forums of Windows Sysinternals .

  • Download junk in the background every time that I run Firefox (and I do not have installed AVG)

I am aware of this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/997796 - but I haven't installed AVG. Every time I run Firefox, even in an empty tab page, a few seconds later my bandwidth starts used. I got Cucusoft Net installed guard and TCPEye, and both show that Firefox is connected to the internet and download - even if I have not loaded any page, there's always on 'new tab '...

I too FDM, but this happens with or without its execution (ditto with my XAMMP localhost installation.)

I have disabled all add-ons, and run Firefox in safe mode, still the same thing happens: when I start a new tab, my bandwidth is murdered (parenthesis: my normal surfing via Telkom Mobile internet is sloooow between 60 Kbps and 250 Kbps if I'm lucky, but the download of this background is off-the-charts more than 1 200 Kbps and a few seconds) (, I lost more than 20 MB of mobile internet really really expensive, I just can't afford to waste, that's why I have all these monitors TCP and network graphics running all the time.)

I also ran a Kaspersky rootkit revealer and reported no threat. I have ZoneAlarm antivirus and firewall that does report also no infection (ditto ClamWin)

I found the problem... it's Firefox.

How bloody rude of Firefox... I put my browsers NOT auto-Update (because my bandwidth is so bloody expensive) but you choose to override my settings and auto-update anyway... WITHOUT MY CONSENT.

    How bloody rude.

There's a reason why we put 'no' to the updates, and I expect that respect you this shit.

  • How can I get rid of the Starburn browser hijacker

Amazing thing, I saw this on a forum legitimate anywhere, I can't find answers unless I want to pay for a tool of suppression of sites that I don't trust. My computer is infected with "Starburn" pirate of browser. No Antivirus tool detects and removes. Tried Malware Bytes, Ad Aware and AVG Antivirus. I can't find anything in the modules or extensions indicating that it's there at all, but my computer is 50% slower and my CPU usage is shockingly high even with a single open tab. I welcomed the upload of my information the module below.

I checked the Task Manager and, of course, normally have several windows open. There are many processes that are running, but when I search the Web for what they are, they all seem to be legitimate. I also used Rootkit Revealer, looking for a couple of registry files that I saw displayed commonly people «SAY» are associated with Starburn, but they do not appear in my registry I see. There is nothing to uninstall in Control Panel, "add and remove. There is no visible ons or extensions relating to this browser hijacker.

If anyone has ANY help or suggestions please post them. This hijacker affects all browsers. So if I switch to IE or Chrome, it's the same thing, that tells me that this is not a Firefox problem but possible something deeply embedded in the system. Then reset Firefox with its default values (which I did not) almost certainly would not solve the problem. Thanks for your time.

Giedrius... I can't find the words to thank you for your time and help! Adwcleaner 'DID' detect the hijacker, but unfortunately was not able to remove it. He tried and said it succeeded twice, but the hijacker was extremely sneaky and nasty. While I was waiting on Hitman Pro, I visited your blog you me bound and followed the subject: config steps and it worked. The pirate air may still be in the system somewhere, but is no longer redirects me. And Adwcleaner, accelerated considerably the computer.

Again, I can't thank you enough. Again, I can use my computer with no problems. I'm not very spiritual, but I always thought that what goes around, comes around... karma, in other words. And I hope that your help is refunded to you a thousand times. I am extremely grateful! Thanks again for your time and your answer to my problem.

  • I got the Conficker virus and now I can't get Windows Update to work

I got the Conficker Virus/worm infected my system, but have now got rid of him (I think).

I noticed yesterday that Windows Update has just stopped working, it has a red symbol X and said 'windows update cannot currently check updates because the service is not running'. Then, I figured that it could be a virus and tried to download AVG anti-virus, but the virus stopped me to access a website or a program to do with protection against viruses (including all Microsoft sites). Finally, I used a separate laptop and negative to download AVG and some other anti-virus/malware programs and down them mode without failure. I then ran Windows malware removal tool. That seems to have gotten rid of the virus (which has been identified as Conficker), I can now go to any Web site, so it seems that the virus is gone or disabled.

However I can not even access Windows Update. My guess is the virus disabled some component of it, but how now operate again? Is it possible to re-enable it manually? Or y at - it something that I can download to fix?

  • Sound is squeaky, he cannot know. Need help, please

Hi, I had a problem with getting a blue screen a few times and it turned back a few months ago to be because I had AVG and Norton, both installed on my computer and he didn't like that. I ended up finding it fixed thanks to the presentation of a report from here and get help, but I think I got him too late and there could be residual effects, I'm not sure.

My sound is real grinding, it has been progressively worse for a little while now that I tried to figure it out so now I'm here asking for help. It's almost a kind of sounds like the sound of transformers they do in the movies and it is true irritating because I'm watching videos of lectures for an online class so I really need the sound. All sound icons down in the report of the bar of tasks, everything is fine but I run CCleaner, Spybot, I have a paid subscription to Norton, I ran a rootkit revealer, memtest. The resource monitor, as far as I know, is not displayed nothing extraordinary, but I'm far from being positive on that. Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers, restarted the PC. Device Manager says all drivers were very well, but I did it just to make sure they were the most up-to-date. It is ok for a little while, but then the problems come back. All that is found malware-wise has been fixed. Video got to a point where it was sometimes a little slow, so it is not just the sound card and I watched a movie on VLC Media Player and it was still scratchy and nervous, which excludes from the internet connection. Fix? Tried to answer as much as I can so I can come here and give everyone as much information that they need to help you.
I wanted a little just to see how I could have missed before accepting that some cards inside is dying or something that I need to replace. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you! Here are the specifications of the computer and if someone who can help the needs nothing else from me, please do not hesitate. Thanks again
