Router dual-band only invited E3200 access works

Hello, I am looking for help on my router.  Today my main band has stopped working and I can not connect.  I tried to change the password and am still unable to connect, and can't even get an option to enter the new password to other devices, even if the signal is recognized.  My guest access works very well.  Can anyone help?

Yes, the router behind router can be a bit confusing, but I think you're in luck because the E3200 supports bridge mode.

Simply follow the instructions to configure your E3200 in Bridge mode.

http://www6.nohold.NET/Cisco2/GetArticle.aspx?docid=28cee6a2fb0d4176a2210942d1d5836c_Setting_up_the _...

The alternative if you want to use your E3200 as the main router is to set your modem in Bridge mode, if it is able.

PS and how does phones work only on EVERYTHING and computers are so limited? (end of the mug shot)

This wireless card does not work on 5 GHz, 2.4 GHz only.

Buying a router dual-band (2.4 and 5 GHz) can be useful if other devices, such as a Tablet, can use 5 GHz. 5 GHz will be probably less crowded with your neighbor WiFi networks, but 5 GHz usually has a range of less than 2.4.

Price is usually why PCs do not come with dual band WiFi. In contrast, the two strips to a phone offers more flexibility when you're out and about. And these days, smartphones can cost more than the average desktop PC!

  • E2500 Cisco's router dual-band

    Hello

I just install the Cisco E2500 router and set up my wireless network.

I bought the router hoping it would give me a more powerful than my old G Linksys 2.4 Ghz signal.

Using inSSider I see my router and unfortunately it seems that both the 2.4 Ghz and 5 GHz range are both at the same time. I need help. The strength of the signal under RSSI is - 60 to-57 for the 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz range.

I have to turn off one of these groups or what should I do to get a stronger signal?... my old Linksys router was to-50.

Help... I'm not at all intuitive on routers, but I think that I would have only one band at a time or someother setting needs to be changed in order to improve my signal strength.

Where we cut a band anyway?

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Tom.

    Hi GV Expert,.

Thanks for your explanation as to what is measured and its relevance.

I would like to run the test that describe you.

First; When you say to connect my computer to a single band, I say - would allow a band to achieve this result?

In addition, how do you transfer a file, we are talking about transfer between my two computers?

Thank you for your patience and your help.

    Tom.

  • Dual band routers

I rent currently a double router broadband from Comcast, I pay $10 a month. I went around and around with Comcast internet price. They offer 6 Mbps at $34.99 and then the next step upward is 25 MB/s-$69.99 I. I also have Direct TV which is an absolutely stunning image on all HD TVs in the House. Comcast has fiber optic line on my rural road so the video quality is lower but they insist I'm paying less by consolidating the base with the Internet tv service. I went round and round with them and dropped to the base and found tv service I have would save $6 in FCC fees by paying only for the internet and the double router broadband. My next option is to buy my own router dual-band but I don't know what brand, etc. My House is a brick building with the current router placed at the end of the House in an office where the MBP is using 5 ghz. I use a keyboard and a mouse bluetooth with the Mac. Another room on the same floor has a Windows 10 laptop computer with a wireless printer, and two other rooms have mini geniuses Direct TV on the same floor, which are wireless. The genius of the master TV Live is a lower floor in a family room and I now connected to 5 ghz. There is also a Samsung smart tv and a Sony all the system connected to the network without wire on the lower floor. We have several iPhones and iPads in the House, more heightens. Everything except the Mac and Master engineering are on the 2.4 ghz.  Outside, there is a swimming pool, and the bridge and another in structural steel that need to connect to the wireless network when necessary. Occasionally, I have a lot more portable and connected mobile devices who need. My current router is password protected, and it is a very rural area, so my neighbors needs are much less than mine. So, I need suggestions for brands of routers that work with my devices. I'm not a fool, so I can probably set up a network with a network name and the password of my choice.

Something to note, twice so far the broken material Comcast last year. The first aircraft was a pain to set up and I needed technical assistance to do this, then he broke and a tech came out and replaced the single band with a double band. Apparently my canton has a problem with the internet service and Comcast has trouble keeping the connected neighborhood.

I'm not thrilled and shopping online as I like to look at something from all angles and ask tons of questions, then Best Buy will most likely be my choice store. Thanks in advance for any help.

Any modern router will work. If you want to replace the modem Comcast to ensure that it is compatible with their specifications, I think that no matter what modem docsis 3 will work, but if you ask Comcast they will tell you what to buy. Do not get a gateway (router and modem combined) device. Electronic components fail if you have a gateway device so fails it a router, you need to replace the modem and the router, because they are combined in one device. If you have separate devices and the other fails, you have to replace a defective unit.

  • HP Pavilion 17-E049WM: the dual-band wireless card

I have a processor amd on this machine. Single band wireless card. I was wondering if this card would work on this machine.

    Intel Wireless-N 7260BN WiFi 802.11b/g/n 2 × 2 + Combo Bluetooth 4.0 adapter

Or is it just for processors intel...

If this is not the case, is there all the wireless cards double for this so I can pick up the band 5 GHz on the router.

Now I have a usb dual band that works but if I could just go inside the laptop and put in another map that would be better.

    TIA.

    Hello:

Probably the Intel card will not work.

I don't know anyone who has a laptop AMD based where the Intel card worked and it was not your model.

I suggest you only install a dual-band Broadcom card, which should work just fine.

    This one...

    Broadcom BCM943228HMB 802.11abgn 2 × 2 Wi - Fi adapter, card Broadcom Bluetooth 4.0.

Before you buy any wireless card, make sure that your model has two sons of wireless antenna connected to the current map.

Inspect your real model.  Do not rely on the photo of the manual as some forum members have reported that a single antenna attached even if the manual shows two.

If there is that a single, dual-band card will not get the reception he needs with only a single antenna.

Here is the link to the service manual for your model.

    Answer to?  N °

Then explain to me why you can't connect to the 5.0 GHz with the AC map Strip?

HP has put the designation of expertise because I have solved thousands of questions from members of the forum, not me.

It's not my problem if you cannot accept the facts of the case.

Of course, it's a card dual band.

If you want this map to be able to connect to the 5.0 GHz frequency, then you need to upgrade your router to router dual-band wireless AC.

  • Want DV7-7230us: HP Envy DV7-7230us dual band wireless compatibility

    Hi all -

I have a DV7-7230us that I've updated massively since the purchase at a great price about 3 years - new display, 500 GB SDD, Win10-Pro, memory maxed out, etc..

This laptop has all the abilities and raw power I need a laptop, but one thing that bothers me is the minimap original wireless in - it's single-channel video, 2.4 GHz a/b/g.

I would like to replace it with the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 2 x 2 Networok/Bluetooth adapter (7260.HMWWB. (R), but I just want to ensure compatibility before you start down this path here - anyone had success and/or advice I should on this? If not compatible, does anyone know card dual band wireless compatible AC that works?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Your machine was built long before mid-2014, so the chance to upgrade the wifi card is slim to zero. There is a list on page 7 of the following document:

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03591253.PDF

Option: AC USB wireless card is the way to go.

  • No Bluetooth on Latitude E5540 although Wifi works (Intel Dual Band AC-7260 BT + Wifi)

    Hello

as indicated, I can't do the bluetooth on my laptop E5540, although the chip works fine (Intel Dual Band AC-7260 BT + Wifi). I do not use so much so I discovered a few days ago:

Win7 showed an "unknown device" which was clearly referring to BT

After a round of Microsoft/Dell/Intel updates, there is no more 'unknown devices' but still no trace of BT (as you can see in the following image).

    Help?

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Brad,

Thanks for the tips. I have indeed tried everything and more, but no bluetooth device was visible... I finally checked the BIOS, and we are here:

    SOLVED.

The question was in fact related to an option: "want you as the physical button on the left to control: wifi, wifi + bluetooth...» ». I probably suddenly unchecked bluetooth, there is no more way to power it on.

    Thank you
