Router is not connecting to the modem so I can't get internet

All right-_ - I tried a lot of things with this so I get irritated sorry. Here is my info I have a Linksys Wireless Router with SpeedBoost Firmware Version 7.2 WRT54GS (latest version). I'm trying to use it with a Sprint 645 series Modem. My IP address when you are connected to the router and the router connected to the Modem is 192.168.1.100 who my ISP said was ok to make it work. While it is just connected to my modem, it's the same thing except replace the 100 by 1. My ISP uses a measure of security where The Thing DHCP is 192.168.1.1 and so is the DNS server and default gateway and im not sure if this has something to do with it. I used the ping at a command prompt to make sure that I am connected to the router when its plugged up and it is. This is a new router. I have internet with Modem just perfectly. I tried to reset the router and that does not work-_-. I don't think it is important more because I tried to fix the many way people have told me and it didn't work, but I'll tell u in any case. When I put up the first router time I hung and lit everything at the beginning. Then I noticed that it says Run CD before to connect the cables... those who were not in the instructions but wtv... anyway resetting should have fixed or so I was told by other people on this forum. I use a laptop with Windows Vista, and I don't have access to a desktop computer in case I need a XD. I can connect to the router fine because I can access the Setup page... and I can connect wireless... The ONLY problem seems to be that the router will not connect to the Modem... for some reason of wtv-_ - I think that its because the entire security measure on the way to the DHCP and the DSN and the bridge are all 192.168.1.1, but that's just me. I'm sorry this is very long but I really want this problem-_ - I had this router for a month and becomes really annoying so please help . My ISP is Embarq. I ran the installation CD and I had all through the last step (standby router) after having connected the power supply to the wall for the router. Just, it is there forever and then says "error: 322 cannot find router or something like that." There are 3 steps to try to fix it. It says to make sure that the router is connected (it is), it is said also to make sure that u does not actually connect your old router, (I don't have a-_-) and then re-run Setup. and by the installer, I mean where u plug in all the cables in the right way. * sigh *.

If you need anything else please ask.

Your second post says "" ignore this "so I guess everyone thought that you set..."

When you connect through your router that you have two instances of DHCP past... one is your DSL modem with router IP address on its WAN interface. The other is the router that gives your computer an IP address via the DHCP server on the router. The IP address of the modem gives your router is in the 192.168.1.0 network. Unfortunately, by default, the reange of Linksys routers LAN IP address is also in this range. For that to work, you must set your router 192.168.2.1 LAN ip, so that the LAN and WAN router interfaces are in different networks.

To do this, unplug the DSL modem router, power it and your computer, and then connect the computer to the router by an ethernet cable. Turn on the router and the computer, and then go to 192.168.1.1. Change the LAN IP on router 192.168.2.1, save the configuration, and then restart the computer. Once the computer returns to the top, navigate to 192.168.2.1... you should be able to get to the router GUI configuration.

Turn off the router and the DSL modem, connect the router to the modem via the Internet port using an ethernet cable, and then turn on the modem, then the router... you should be good to go...

    Hello

This behavior can occur if the antivirus application blocking the app Store or changes due to some recent on the computer.

I would suggest trying the following steps and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Make sure that your PC is up to date

Make sure that updates are installed on your PC and that your antivirus program does not prevent the application from running. For more information about installing updates for your PC, see Windows Update: frequently asked questions.

    Method 2:

Run 'Windows Apps Store' convenience store

You must be logged in as an administrator in order to run the "Windows Store Apps" troubleshooter. This tool can automatically find and fix some issues with applications. It is available in English only, but will work in all languages. You can let automatically try to fix any problems found, or select what you want made repairs.

    Method 3:

I suggest you delete the Windows Store cache and check how it works.

    1. Press Windows + R logo
    2. Type wsreset.exe in the run window, and then press ENTER.

    Method 4:

Define the Apps approved in third program Antivirus- If you have a third party AV program installed, check its settings to make sure that the app Store works is not changed to be approved. If the AV program has the app as unreliable, it will block and prevent opening the app.

Let us know the status of the issue. If you need help, please after return. We will be happy to help you.

I have 3 short videos I tried emailing stuck in Outbox of my iPhone 6. They tried to send more than an hour. I can't delete them, "Change" is not available in the Outbox. How can I get rid of these so mail will stop trying?

Can drag you across the message in the Outbox overview to get the Red delete button? It's been a while since I had paste an email in the Outbox, so I don't remember if that's possible.

IF your account is an IMAP account, try to delete the e-mail on the Mac. Actions sync between devices in IMAP email, so they should be in the Outbox on the server and you should be able to get to them in the Mail from Mac application, use you it, or in a web browser on the server.

IF this is not possible for some reason, try the mail application to the phone reboots and the closing force force the phone and then try again. Press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used. Blow up the Swipe on application brief mail app to close

To force the reboot your device, press and hold the two buttons of sleep/wake and home for at least ten seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

  • Router is not connecting to the new cable modem

Time Warner has replaced my cable modem with a Motorola SBV1521 and my Linksys BEFSR81 router cannot connect to it.  No lights for the WAN port when the modem is connected. I have tried everything what Linksys said in their "set up a Linksys router with cable Internet Service" including the upgrade of the firmware and pwer cycling. (I can connect to the modem when it is plugged into a LAN port, but not when it is plugged into the WAN port as it should). Any ideas?

As a last resort, I swapped the two cables (one of the modem router and the other between the router and the main computer). It worked!

Do not know why. The two are category 5 cables and the original path was working with the previous modem.

I would be interested if anyone can explain this to me.

I have consulted my ISP, checked the provider. The installer works fine with other OS and Win 7 on another computer.

  • Router is not connecting to the internet.

I can connect to my router both wired and wireless, but the router is not the internet. I use a cable modem with Comcast as my ISP.  When I plug the cable modem directly into my PC (as I do to post this message) I access the internet without problem. When I plug the cable on my router, I can't connect to the internet.  With my Wired internet router and my PC wire3lessly connected to my router, here is the result of my diagnosis:

Can you tell me what I've misconfigured?

    Thank you!

Well problem solved! Poster on this forum, and after receiving no help, I went to my local Best Buy and asked them to recommend a router that wasn't a Linksys.  I came home, plugged in my new Netgear Wireless-N-300 router, ran the installer and poof!  -I'm on the internet.  Linksys thanks for forcing me to buy a better router.

  • Router is not connecting to the computer

I just replaced a bad on my computer's ethernet jack.  Now when I plug the router in there I don't get everything internet.  The router has internet and my laptop wireless connects fine via the wireless signal...  I replaced the power cord from the router to the computer with a brand new, only one I know works.  Still no internet.  When I look at the network settings, the computer says that it is connected to the router.  But no internet signal.  I also plugged the network directly into the computer and it works fine.  The ethernet jack is working.  Any suggestions?  I don't have the book and cd for the router...

  • Shift of the computer; It seems that my laptop is lagging when it is connected to the power supply (AC adapter) and it works perfectly fine when it is NOT connected to the power adapter. Can someone help or diagnose the problem?

This shift of computer thing had never happened before until about a week ago. The shift comes every 30 seconds or more and it occurs also when I switch between applications.

    Hello

I saw this kinds of problems occur with the power strips and even UPS systems. And some similar questions have
been solved using them actually, especially the UPS. If the power strip has important circuit protection
He'll probably bad or you have very low power at first on this AC circuit.

Solution is not to use the tape and maybe get a UPS with brown-out solution.

    I hope this helps.

  • XP is connected to the wireless network but can't get online...

I have a wireless network that works very well with my computer laptop and desktop so its punt in Mac OS, but when I boot XP, it cannot get online. He sees the network and says I'm connected but IE and Firefox keep the display of error messages telling me that they can't connect. If I click on the icon of repair under wireless network connection settings, it would loop forever in the IP address area you are looking for. I figured out how to manually enter the IP address and the error is now in the clearing the DNS cache.

I also tried implementing the wizzards and messed with the different service settings, but still no luck.

Does anyone have an idea what I am doing wrong or what needs to be done to get this connected to the internet?

Why windows is so difficult? my Mac is hooked up very well with little effort.

    I'm so frustrated. Help, please

If you are connected your computer must be able to connect to the menus wireless router and have an IP address valid (169 . xx.xx.xx isn't a valid IP address).

  • All the songs I have in my media player have been moved to a file different windows media, they do not appear in the media player, how can I get them back?

My windows media player has my collection of music in it, and then one day on a month, none of the songs were in windows media player. I then looked in my documents, under 'My music' and he registered all my songs in the library, but will not be displayed in media player. How can I get back them?

    Hello

    1. what version of Windows Media player you have installed?

    2. don't you make changes on the computer before this problem?

If you use Windows Media Player 11, you can follow this link & check if the problem persists.

You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library of Windows Media Player 11

    Hope the helps of information.
Please post back and we do know.

  • SRP526W router is not connecting to the ADSL.

    Help please,

I bought a Cisco Small business Pro SRP 526W modem/router for use in the United Kingdom on ADSL.

Connection and set-up, the unit does not recognize all adsl service. I checked that the LAN interface is enabled.

The ADSL status shows DSL and DSL Status Idle mode of modulation NO FORMS, and unlike any other ADSL device I used, does not retry the connection. All other routers ADSL modem connected to this work of line ok.

I presume that the unit was defective, but thought I check the firmware version and update it because it is a model of new (ish).

The device status screen is fixed and the firmware version 1.01.01 (006) January 22, 2010

A newer version is available and I downloaded it. After combing through the extensive documentation, check the Cisco website and each screen of the device to the search I can't find how to upgrade the firmware.

I know that this is aid refers to it.

    Can someone tell me;

    1. is this good normal UK ADSL device.

    2. where is the option to upgrade the firmware.

    3. in the event that I RMA because it clearly is in brick.

4 why Cisco would put their name to such a poorly documented system

    Any response would be appreciated.

    Hello

SRP526 takes support ADSL2 + on carriers of ISDN.  In the United Kingdom, ISDN on POTS lines (telephone analog) is used exclusively.  To do this, need you the SRP527W.

Documentation for the SRP500 is published on Cisco.com at http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps10500/tsd_products_support_series_home.html.  The Administrator's Guide should provide you with the information you need.

For your information, upgrade code on this unit, you must log in as "admin" default password "admin" (like you), rather than using the "cisco" basic user login, then select Administration > Firmware Upgrade.

    Hope this helps,

    Andy
