Router WRT320N to a wired BEFSX41 router connection problem

Hello, I never thought it would be so difficult. I have problems to connect to a router (WRT320N) so it will be on the same network as my other cable firewall router (BEFSX41). The wireless router works fine because it connects to the internet via the BEFSX41 router. However, the two routers do not see each other and I can't connect two computers, a wired computer, the other laptop wireless to the same network.

Wired BEFSX41 router uses 192.168.1.1 IP address and the router WRT320N wireless uses 192.168.0.1 IP address.

Don't know what other information you need. I hope you can solve this problem for me.

Thank you

Mike

For file sharing, it is always better to maintain the network in the same subnet... Connect the BEFSX41 on the Ethernet Port of the router WRT. (LAN-to-LAN connection)... Visit this link for that. If the IP address of the main router is 192.168.1.1 then, change the 2nd router's ip address is 192.168.1.2.

Make sure that file and printer sharing is enabled... Also, make sure the computer are in the same workgroup...
Default workgroup in Windows Vista has been renamed to WORKING group. In Windows XP, the default workgroup name is MSHOME...

    Hi all

I am replacing a belkin n600 with router linksys ea6350 router. The modem I have is a Motorola Surfboard SB6141. The belkin router connects perfectly to the modem, but when I try to connect the linksys router to the modem, the light on the router keeps blinking and will never get me connected to the internet. I even tried to connect the linksys router to the router belink when the belkin is connected to the modem. I still don't get any kind of service. Thought it was a bad router and it took for my current home to connect to my modem At & t and it worked very well and I was able to put everything in place. For some reason I don't know why the linksys connects very well with the modem at & t, but not the motorla modem and the ISP that I have in my apartment is Comcast. It does not any sense and I'm heading home in a few days and I really need this connected linksys router belkin router is just too slow. Please I need much help getting this linksys router to communicate correctly with the motorola modem. Also, I used both crossover and straight cable modem to see if that makes a difference and does none of this and I know use cross to connect to the router.

first of all, make sure that the port on your pc is enabled.  usually, if you enable wifi it disables the ethernet port.  before you turn off the modem and do a factory reset on the router into the RED reset button until the lights on the router are flashing.  Turn the power off and wait 10 seconds then plug it back.  During its initialization connect a straight cable between the pc and the router's lan port.  Also, connect a cat5e or cat6 from the wan port on the router to the modem.  wait until the router finishes starting, and if she opens a browser in itself and then open a browser (ie to try) and put 192.168.1.1 in the address bar.  You should get a connection.  Let the empty user and enter "admin" for the password.  Or if it opens the programme of assistance to load the router you can follow if you wish.  This should get you.

  • Pavilion dv4-2160us with Atheros AR9285 and D-Link WBR-2310 wireless router connection problem

NB sometimes has problem connecting to the router. This occurs when the NP is booted from power, or when the connection of power mode after about a day of economy since his last connected. Although the network sharing Center sees the network to connect to, but shows only "restricted access". But if the power to the router is recycled, then the connection is established. The driver for the Atheros AR9285 is up-to-date. The firmware of the router is the latest v1.05.

A test ping Google permanently on the NB and a computer that is connected to the router to isolate the problem. Whenever Google is ping successfully, it displays a message and the response time in milliseconds. If the ping fails, the message will be "Ping: transmit failed." General failure. "  It turns out that, while the test on the wired computer worked without a hitch, the NB has shown that at the same time, the internet connection was lost during the time of connection. He then recovered after a few 'pings '. At another time, the internet connection has been lost permanently without recovery, also during the time of connection.

    Anyone has the same problem?

After changing the security mode WPA2 to WEP router wireless, the problem seems to have disappeared. It's been 3 days and the computer can still make the connection to the router. HP support says that HP wireless network adapter works best with the WEP security setting.

  • Factory reset wireless router connection problems?

    Hello

I recently did a factory reset on my HP6745f desktop running Win7 sp1 and I don't know if my problem is with HP or Linksys/Cisco (my router). I already contacted the support Cisco who reported the problem seems to be "a matter of HP, a corrupt driver or other third-party issue" and then offered to help, for a price. I'm hoping to avoid that if possible.

This office computer is directly connected to the router via an Ethernet cable. Cisco software was that I want to install that 'control' of my router (called Cisco Connect) and when I try to install the software, I get a message saying: "We could not find your router" (that's why the software will not install) - although I am accessing internet through that router. Even if I try to enter my network name and the password, it cannot find anything. I am also unable to access the router via my browser "168.198.1.1".

I am unable to connect wireless with the same desktop so, my 2 wireless laptops have no problem of connection at all, which leads me to believe it's something specific to my desktop pc.

The Cisco Connect software has already been installed on my desktop and it worked fine. I guess my question is: someone has any suggestions for me? This could be a driver problem? How can I identify what (s) for 'check '?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I thought about it! My router can use a "network key" to connect other computers to the router. I guess when I reset my pc all this info has been removed and the router could not communicate.

I have just created a network key on a flashdrive USB of my laptop, plugged the USB in my office and hop, I reconnected properly. Thanks for the suggestions, I really appreciate the help.

  • Router connection problems

    Hello
So I'm having a problem, very frustrating to connect to my router. I can't connect to my router using the ip or routerlogin.net address after a certain period of time. If I restart my router, I can connect without any problems, do everything that I do and everything is fine, but it seems that after a while, can I connect my router delay and then I go to the page... I get a "This Page is not available" in Chrome.

I tested with Chrome, Firefox Safari (on Mac and PC, 2.4 and 5 ghz connection, as well as directly connected to the router). I also tried the same settings on an IBM computer, including using IE

Internet seems to work very well, (I can even ping the default gateway), but whenever I create a new virtual machine on my test server, I need to assign a static IP address and need to connect and hate that I have to keep rebooting my router must.

Y at - it a setting or something escapes me?
Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Andy -.

Hard reset seems to have worked. Thank you!

    For the curious:

The first thing that happened the router would be looking for another router on the network. Have not found an and proceeded to reset the router to factory specifications.

Once that came, I restored my previous settings that I saved while I still had access to the router.

Always curious, he has established for the last month when I tested my olde 3700 (who, by the way, works fine behind a router AT & T in my other House - and a lot more range and speed than the AT & T.)

One of the 4 ethernet ports on the Tomphson router is connected via ethernet cable to my wrt300n uses the Internet port.

Attached to the WRT300N ethernet ports is a desktop computer and a laptop computer. Both devices have access to the internet with this configuration.

I had to reset the WRT300n, but now I can't connect to the Thompson router. First they when connected, I noticed he had to communicate certain configurations on the WRT300N in order to both routers, and provide Internet access to equipment connect the WRT300n.

  • Nook Color ereader & connectivity problems with router WRT610N

I recently bought a new Nook color ereader for my wife. As long as a network administrator, I thought that this would be an easy task to configure the ereader to connect with my Linksys WRT610N router on the 2.4 Ghz band. But I'm running problems when connecting. The question seems to have intermittent connection problems where the meals seem to see the wireless network, authenicates, tries to get an IP address, then connects for a short period or removes the signal very quickly while being right on top of the router with the device.

By the recommendations of various forums of Nook, I had the best luck with the following...

    2.4 Ghz band settings

    SSID: NookNetwork

    Channel width: 20 GHZ

    Standard channel: 9

    SSID Broadcast: enabled

    Security mode: WPA2 Personal

    Encryption: AES

    Passphrase: set out

    Key renewal: 3600

    UPNP: disabled

    RTS: default

    Defragmentation: default

    Tag: default

However, the problem still resides in an intermittent connection to the wireless network. I also tried various arrangements of the channel to both channels 1, 6 and 11 with my best cponnecting chance to channel 9. I also played with the security and disabled all together and have plugged but always file (will not however run the unsecured network). Also try a tag value of 75, a framework of fragmentation of 2306 and 2307 RTS setting. My computer laptop while run and connect properly.

I use the latest software updated both on the color of the corner. I am at the end and have searched high and low to get suggestions, and have not yet reached a compatible connection. Please help... Thank you! And my wife thank you in advance! Smiles!

All other devices in the House are able to connect to the internet through the router, such as ipods and game consoles. Another laptop running Windows XP is able to connect without a problem.

Connecting the laptop to the internet works when connected via an ethernet cable.

I tried several solutions offered on the internet without any positive results, such as:

    -Disable IPv6

-Computers wireless card uninstalled, then put it back

    -Uncheck the link layer topology

    -Restart the router/mobile

-Check and install all updates for windows and HP

  • No Internet access - network/router wireless connection problem

I can't connect to the internet after installing Windows 7 64 bit. I can see the router wireless/network from my computer, but it has sometimes limited connectivity or it says connected but no internet access. I used Windows diagnostic tools to try to fix it but it does not work, and my router connects without a doubt to the internet such that I now use on a portable computer that is on the same network. I would like to know if anyone else has this problem and if they fixed. I tried to change the physical address of the connection to the local network, but it didn't work, I guess because I connect via radio and no cable, and I heard similar stories on other forums that this can be a problem more common I suspect. Thanks in advance for your answer, and all the details you need I'll try my best to provide.

OK I finally got to work, all we needed was for me to download the latest drivers (Realtek 8185 wireless card) off-site and install in compatibility mode, and then he worked all of a sudden. I hope this will help someone suffering from a similar problem!

  • How are routed connections Wi - Fi? They are proxyied by BES or BIS?

I'm trying to understand how the Wi - Fi connections are routed in Wi - Fi phones BB.

First of all I am confused that there is an entry in the routing host for WiFi with address/port rcp.na.blackberry.com:443 table. Why is there a blackberry address? I thought that the WiFi was not proxyied through RIM.

Then I read an article by knowledbase entitled "system requirements and support of Wi - Fi enabled BlackBerry smartphones. There, he says for the WiFi connection, you need
-Routable path between the smartphone BlackBerry and Internet via TCP/IP Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol () on port 443
-Routable path of BlackBerry smartphone on the BlackBerry via TCP/IP router on port 4101
    -BlackBerry
access to smartphone for the DHCP server and the domain name system (DNS) Server

If this confused even more. Because I told the phone must be able to reach to the BES or the Internet (I assume that it is address of RIM in the table of routing entry host Wi - Fi) wireless.

Then I read another of the knowledge base article titled 'Services via a Wi - Fi connection' saying 'a network of Wi - Fi enabled BlackBerry smartphone can establish
a WiFi a personal Wi - Fi, a wireless company network
network with a virtual private network (VPN) connection or a hotspot with a
VPN directly to the BlackBerry router connection.

So it says that you need a BlackBerry router VPN connection (I guess that BES) If you are a small business Wi - Fi network.

Finally, my confusion reached upstairs when I read another article titled 'Direct web browsing' knowledge base which says

«Direct web browsing allows BlackBerry smartphones»
with Wi - Fi® technology to navigate the web through hot spots or at home
Wi - Fi networks you connect to a BlackBerry Enterprise Server or the
    BlackBerry Internet Service»

That said, that you don't have to join to BES or BIS.

I'm totally distraught about how Wi - Fi connections are routed.

    Any help is appreciated.

    I got the answer.

The article 'System Configuration required and the support of Wi - Fi enabled BlackBerry smartphones' refers to the configuration required to use Data Services BlackBerry as BES, MDS, BIS, BB Messenger.

These aren't the requirements on applications for non - BB data services like 3rd party MI application trying to connect by Wi - Fi.

If all goes well, it helps to address future confusions.

  • WRT320N slows down the speed of connection - terms of support of Linksys problem

My internet connection speed slows down to about half of it is normal speed (or worse) until I have restart my router WRT320N. I see on the net that MANY other people have the same problem and can't seem to find a solution to this problem.

I have the latest version of the firmware installed and I have the upnp is off

I was told recently by a representative of Linksys Chat to perform this procedure, and I was wondering if anyone has tried and there set the coupling apparently daily slowdown that set in a reboot of the router for another day or two

Here is the procedure that I was instructed to do...
I was told disconnest the modem to the router-connect "than a PC ONLY" via a wired port #4 - reset the router by holding the button of reset in 30 seconds - switch off the router Linksys for 20 seconds and then turn it back on - check the LEDs of the Linksys router to make sure that the power, WLAN and port #4 are lit on the Linksys router. -clone the MAC - change "Mixed" wireless settings - name - change to 20 Mhz channel bandwidth and network use standard channel 11 - and in - use the Mode personal WPA - security settings and set my WPA pre-shared key password
Before shutting down the PC and router - reconnect the modem to the router and the PC to the router - then make sure that the modem, the router and the PC are disabled for cycle a minute and the power of their back on with the modem being first - then turn on the router and last the PC

Has anyone tried this, and he had to fix this downturn?

    Thanks in advance

Well it's been 6 days that I woke up this morning and turned on the router and the modem from power overnight or lower I did after question troubleshooting the slow speed in the night before, does not

I consistantly get in the 2 to 3% of the broadband speed I pay for - but I have no idea what fixed the issue

So I'll mark it as "Resolved" and just hope that it comes not back again

    Thanks for the recommendations Klatch
