  • Router WRT320N to a wired BEFSX41 router connection problem

Hello, I never thought it would be so difficult. I have problems to connect to a router (WRT320N) so it will be on the same network as my other cable firewall router (BEFSX41). The wireless router works fine because it connects to the internet via the BEFSX41 router. However, the two routers do not see each other and I can't connect two computers, a wired computer, the other laptop wireless to the same network.

Wired BEFSX41 router uses 192.168.1.1 IP address and the router WRT320N wireless uses 192.168.0.1 IP address.

Don't know what other information you need. I hope you can solve this problem for me.

    Thank you

    Mike

For file sharing, it is always better to maintain the network in the same subnet... Connect the BEFSX41 on the Ethernet Port of the router WRT. (LAN-to-LAN connection)... Visit this link for that. If the IP address of the main router is 192.168.1.1 then, change the 2nd router's ip address is 192.168.1.2.

Make sure that file and printer sharing is enabled... Also, make sure the computer are in the same workgroup...
Default workgroup in Windows Vista has been renamed to WORKING group. In Windows XP, the default workgroup name is MSHOME...

  • WRT320N laptop computer connection issues

    Hi all

I decided to upgrade my router today to WRT320N. I connect 2 computers wired, wireless 3 computers and a printer of HP Network on a home network. I was able to get the wired machines and the printer goes very well with Windows Vista and the Linksys software. I could not connect wireless laptops. I used the Network Magic program, the Vista network program and the HP Wireless asst without success. I tried using auto detect it on the router, to connect directly from the computer to a wireless network and using the magic network programs, including manual connect and the parameters on a loading USB device and try this on the computer to connect. I'm at my wit's end! Ideas by steps out there on what to do? I rebooted the router and Comcast cable modem x 2 x 4 and all computers at least once. Thank you.

  • WRT320N slows down the speed of connection - terms of support of Linksys problem

My internet connection speed slows down to about half of it is normal speed (or worse) until I have restart my router WRT320N. I see on the net that MANY other people have the same problem and can't seem to find a solution to this problem.

I have the latest version of the firmware installed and I have the upnp is off

I was told recently by a representative of Linksys Chat to perform this procedure, and I was wondering if anyone has tried and there set the coupling apparently daily slowdown that set in a reboot of the router for another day or two

Here is the procedure that I was instructed to do...
I was told disconnest the modem to the router-connect "than a PC ONLY" via a wired port #4 - reset the router by holding the button of reset in 30 seconds - switch off the router Linksys for 20 seconds and then turn it back on - check the LEDs of the Linksys router to make sure that the power, WLAN and port #4 are lit on the Linksys router. -clone the MAC - change "Mixed" wireless settings - name - change to 20 Mhz channel bandwidth and network use standard channel 11 - and in - use the Mode personal WPA - security settings and set my WPA pre-shared key password
Before shutting down the PC and router - reconnect the modem to the router and the PC to the router - then make sure that the modem, the router and the PC are disabled for cycle a minute and the power of their back on with the modem being first - then turn on the router and last the PC

Has anyone tried this, and he had to fix this downturn?

    Thanks in advance

Well it's been 6 days that I woke up this morning and turned on the router and the modem from power overnight or lower I did after question troubleshooting the slow speed in the night before, does not

I consistantly get in the 2 to 3% of the broadband speed I pay for - but I have no idea what fixed the issue

So I'll mark it as "Resolved" and just hope that it comes not back again

    Thanks for the recommendations Klatch

  • Linksys WRT320N problems. Keep losing ground day after day

    Hello

I have a nasty problem and I absolutely had no idea on how to solve this problem.

A couple of days, I installed my new router WRT320N in combination with 50mbit Ziggo speed (internet provider from netherland)

On the first day speedtest.net always give mbit 47/48 down and 5 Mbps up.

But after a few days, the router maintains a fall and a fall and abandonment until the subject of 2 Mbps.

Now, I have reset the router and also restarted the modem for the new software etc but still nothing works.

Ive also tried to reset the router to the parameters of Carillon and that worked... until he went down every day.

I also took some tips from this forum that was MTU setting to 1350 manually instead of 1500 automatic and it worked... until a few days have passed and new ive got 10mbit today.

I am naïve and in desperate need of your help!

Setting keep passing my router 50mbit speed to almost zero in a few days at a time?

    Thank you in advance!

    Rens Voeten

Change every time I pass the MTU to 1500, and then back to 1350 is the jump from speedtest.net meters up still crazy 50mbit.

But if I let it, it will decrease again day after day.

    Thank you for your advice.

Ive done what you say and also disabled UpnP and I think it did the trick.

Ive got constant speeds to 48mbit/s (50 in total) and they have not fallen so far.

Verify speedtest.net during lunch again tomorrow and will post here if it is down again.

  • The router just for me

I had a problem choose a router that will work for me.

I have a few computers (with Mac in there), a Bravia TV and a PS3. I'm looking for a (cat 5) wired and wireless router that has QoS so that I can make sure my packages of games to get there first.

I was watching the gigabit routers

    Dual-Band Wireless-N Gigabit Router (WRT320N) Router simultaneously Wireless N dual band (WRT610N) Wireless-N Gigabit router (WRT310N)

The problem I have is that I can not say that none of them have QoS. Does anyone have advice for me?  In addition, why are these routers Wireless N and not N +? Of course, I'm new to this whole thing router so put me right!

According to your requirement, you can go for any N-series or series G Router WRT54GS, WRT54G2, WRT160N, WRT310N etc...

All three model No, you mentioned is to have option QoS to prioritize bandwidth for your devices.

  • WRT320N constantly drop connection

I have a router WRT320N.  He is constantly declining internet connection and it is very difficult to restore when this happens.  Basically, I have to wait is "feels like" reconnect.  If I just wait, the connection will return.

This affects not only wireless, but Wired so computers.

One interesting thing I noticed, is that the login page changes when the internet connection.  If I put the address 192.168.1.1 in the browser when internet is not working, I get a different login page that looks like this:

    Link

My regular connection password or the default password works on this page.  I was not able to guess no more.  This could be a clue for someone who knows more than me on this problem.

I read a few threads on this forum and adjusted the settings in the configuration of the router which have been proposed as solutions.  I don't remember any changes, but that they had something to do with the packet size and PNP or something similar.  I always have problems.

It's really frustrating.  When I need to do something important, I have to bypass the router to get a stable connection.  Help, please

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

I think I have solved my problem.  The Linksys WRT320N router's default IP address is 192.168.1.1.  I changed the IP address of the router 192.168.0.1 and it suddenly cleared up.  I ran two days without a drop of water at this stage.

I think that there is another device somewhere in cyberspace that was the IP 192.168.1.1 and is in conflict with my router.  This is why I would like to get this page to connect to the strange search I didn't recognize when you try to connect to the router configuration menus.  I know that this unknown device wasn't my cable modem because it has an address 192.168.100.1.  I don't know what is the unknown device or where it is located.

So if you have a similar problem, try changing the IP address of your Linksys router.

  • Network solution: cable Inter - Linsys PIX 512 - WRT320N

    My current system is:

    Inter CABLE - Linsys PIX 512 (gateway 10.1.30.1, Network10.1.0.0) - router WRT320N (gateway 10.1.30.2, network 10.13.0.0, no dhcp server)

The two networks have Internet, both see in each network, but I'm looking for a solution (setting) to allow sharing of files and printing between two of my network 10.1.0.0 and 10.13.0.0. The wireless router for his network does not allow me to set a network from cable network address, so I put them so that they are separated. Using wireless as a switch router is not a solution, because it's not safe.

If anyone can help in this situation?

I don't see why it isn't safe. Wireless Security Setup and that's for sure. Then, you can use the WRT as switch and single access point without running two IP subnets. You still want to print between the two file/sharing. And the way it is implemented at the moment that everything related to the WRT can access everything connected to the PIX. So if the WRT network is not secure you already have a lot of problems.

  • 5 GHz on WRT320N problem

    Hi all

I bought a new router WRT320N now, to work on the 5 GHz with some inference wireless. But the 5 GHz does not seem to work properly. My configurations are as follows:

    1. the firmware is 1.0.0.3 build 10

    2. the wireless desktop adapter is Intel 3945ABG with the latest driver

    3. to the router:

Network mode: without wire - A only

    Channel: Auto

The SSID broadcast is turned on

    Wireless security: disabled.

The symptom is that the computer cannot dscover the AP at all.

    I really appreciate your help.

    I know the cause.

In China, the 5.723 ~ 5,825 GHz is available. If the channel 149, 153, 157, 161 can work.

    Thanks anyway.

  • Unable to connect to WRT320N with WPA

I recently bought a new router (WRT320N) and a (WUSB600) wireless adapter.  After verifying that they were both updated to the current firmware / drivers, I find that I can't connect to the router when I put it to WPA (I also tried WEP and had the same problem).  Windows gives me the diagnosis "Windows received no response from the access point or wireless router.  I'm running on Vista 32-bit with SP 2.  I looked around, but I can't seem to find a solution to this specific problem.  Thank you!

On the configuration of your router page click on the wireless tab and click the wireless and in - band Radio Standard set - 20 MHz and the Standard 11 - 2, 462 GHz channel change... Wireless SSID broadcast should be enabled and then click on save settings...

Then click the Wireless Security tab and change the personal security WPA2 mode and click on save settings... And then click the sub-tab "wireless MAC filter" and make sure MAC filtering is disable and click on save settings... " Now again, click on the 'Advance Wireless Settings' tab and below change the interval of tag to 75, change the Fragmentation threshold to 2304, change the RTS threshold to 2304 and click on save settings...

Now let's see if you can locate your wireless network and try to connect...
