Roxio creator does not recognize cd or DVD

I'm having the problem with roxio creator 9.0

My files are not burned in cd despite the message he did successfully. It seems that the cd/dvd driver is not recognized.

Hello

·         Windows recognizes the CD?

·         Are you able to burn the CD/DVD through Windows Explorer?

Uninstall and reinstall Roxio Creator.

a. Uninstall Roxio Creator.

b. run the fix for reader of your CD-ROM or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

c. then reinstall Roxio and check if that helps

You can also post in the community of Roxio forums for more support.

  • Satellite 1900 (PS192E) - does not recognize the CD/DVD

    Hey all,.

I just bought a Toshiba Satellite 1900 (PS192E) and place an old 20 GB HDD from an old laptop.

When I boot, the screen is in VGA 16 color mode, it recognizes the DVD player, but does not recognize the CD/DVD when inserted. I tried to install and run the utility "driver robot" Toshibas, but the display is such that I see all of the screen to start the search.

If there is someone out there who could give me some advice, I would be extremely grateful.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

OK, you have installed the disk HARD of another laptop but too format the HARD drive? I mean if the HARD drive performed from another laptop, you need to reinstall Windows because now you have other hardware installed.
What version of Windows is it?

If you want to install a driver for the graphics card go into Device Manager and select Update driver.

I have a lightscribe, CD/DVD player, and I started having problems about a month ago... I tried to burn a lightsribe CD and my computer told me that I didn't have a CD Lightscribe drive (I!)... then when I just tried to burn the music on the CD, he didn't do it either... Finally a week ago, I tried to play a movie on my laptop, and that does not work either.

When I insert in the film or the cd, the drive lights up and I can hear the work, but it is as if she has no connection with my laptop and my laptop is not picking up the CD/DVD drive try to play a movie or a cd.

    Hello mike salinas.

    1. you have any third-party burning software installed on your computer?

    2. have you checked if the external CD drive works on another computer?

I suggest that you check if your internal CD-ROM drive is detected in the BIOS.

Usually, you must press a key (for example, F2, F12, DEL, ESC) or a key combination whenever you turn on your computer, but before I get to the BIOS to start Windows. Check to see if there is the CD/DVD drive in the BIOS.

You can see the article for more information about the BIOS:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/BIOS-frequently-asked-questions

Regarding the external CD/DVD drive, I suggest you see if it works on another computer.

  • Laptop does not recognize blank CD/DVDs

    Hello

    I just bought a Dell Precision M2800 (early 2014).

I can read DVDs and CDs normally but I when I put a CD or blank DVD to burn it, it does not recognize it and says 'Please insert a disc into the DVD drive. I tried many solutions of this forum, but none of them worked for me. I tried burning CDs and DVDs even in other laptops and they have worked perfectly.

Please tell me what I can do.

As you have already understood, you have a CD-ROM drive (read-only) and is unable to burn discs. You do not have the option to replace this drive with a DVD - RW drive that will burn the discs.
