RTKVAC. SYS not found?

VISTA HOME PREMIUM

32 BIT

SERVICE PACK 1

My pc got fuck with all these updates. Do a clean re-install of VISTA, but have no sound, can't download REALTEK AC97 for love nor Fatima, all attempts at just says RTKVAC. SYS not found.

What this means and how do you solve. I know about pc s, so if anyone can help, explain in simple terms please.

Don't tell me to re - install, I did only yesterday. None of this is my fault but MICROSOFTS. We shouldn't have to do all this, the updates should not mess up your computer.

Who creates the sfcdetails.txt and you will have to go to it and read it but confirms your 2nd round
no error found.

Still think your best bet is to remove BullGuard.

Good luck.

Original title: during repair XP Pro from the disk installation, everything crashes.

I am writing this plea on my desktop, pc Win 7 it. The pc is older and elsewhere in the House.

Due to the white/white space in Add/Remove Programs, after checking the extent of possible for viruses, corruption Reg, etc., the advice of consensus was to reinstall the Windows, using the disc (this XP Pro was on the HARD drive when I got the pc - new to 2009 - and I did the back-up recommended/controlled , and that's what I was doing Rcounter Set up, around 1700 BST.

Everything seemed to go OK, but black screen of Windows is now the small hourglass circulating and 'Please wait '.  The HARD drive is flickering, but it's been more than 3 hours!

My second pc was rotten, and I had to reinstall or repair XP Home [disk] a few times. It is only 35 GB, compared to more than 100 on the pc in question - but I've never met before delay.

    Installation messages were as follows:

EPPkt.sys and c:\windows\system32\drivers\afw.sys not found.  I checked this point, and it should not have caused any problems. It has also sought a labeled disc 'Machine Virtual Network Services', which no doubt, since I did not, was never necessary.

I'll leave it on - but...

    Help, please!

Well, I had to bow to the inevitable. Please accept this response as a ' I've been there - it could happen to you. "

I spoke to BT [they provide my broadband] and the helpful guy asked me to look at the installation and reinstall in a different place. It's OK, but [, BUT] some of the drivers have been zapped in eternity. PCI, sounds, videos. The guy thought BT that these had been modified or replaced since the beginning, whereas they were not available. The XP Prof is on the pc when I got it, but I assumed that the pilots were on the backup disk, I did. No, they were not. And how to go online to search for them if we could not put in place the ethernet connection?
So, I bought Win - 7 it 32-bit full ed. [be too afraid to try an upgrade].

It could have been a response in the migration of these from other drivers, but I guess it was time to go.

As I can't afford to buy new COREL, MS Word, etc, I have installed free VMWare player as a host for my older progs in a virtual environment.

Another thing came out of this: although what remained of XP has been saved by 7 as WINDOWS.old, I am very happy that I had a HDD eternal with ntfs to preserve my files and installable 3rd party progs.

I hope this might help someone - thanks for the info.

  • When I try to reinstall Windows XP on my Toshiba laptop, it works until I reboot. Then it says nvrd32.sys not found: press any key to continue.

    original title: NVRD32. SYS ERROR

When I try to reinstall Windows XP SP3 on my Toshiba laptop, it works until the first reboot. When I boot on CD it comes up saying nvrd32.sys is not found: press any key to continue. When I press a key it is said: the Installer failed. Press a key to restart your computer.

So, I don't know what to do. I tried searching on google and found a set, but talk of computer that I couldn't begin to understand. Basically, what I consider somewhere or can I fix it myself? I just paid for a new disk of Windows XP SP3, so I'm not looking forward to having to pay someone to use it.

    Hello

    ·         Windows XP came preinstalled on your laptop?

    ·         If so, you have a recovery partition?

    ·         Where did you buy the disc of Windows XP SP3 for?

nvrd32.sys file is a chipset driver and must be installed via floppy F6 during initial installation.

Method 1: To do this, follow these steps.

    a. you can download the chipset drivers from Toshiba Web site and copy it to a floppy drive.

    b. press F6 at the start of the installation of Windows XP.

    c. follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers for the chipset.

Method 2: You can contact Toshiba to restore to factory on the laptop.

  • The fcpcmcia.sys file is not found on a Portege M200

    Hello

Someone at - he never understand the problem "the file fcpcmcia.sys is not found"? I saw in another post, but suggestions does not solve it and the post has been locked while I couldn't answer.

I have a Toshiba Portege M200, who has the same problem when I try to put in Windows XP Tablet PC edition 2005 level. I used the recovery CD to return to XP Tablet PC edition (because the previous installation was messed up) and then tried to launch the installation of Windows from a couple different XP Tablet PC 2005 CD that I got from MSDN.

When I try to reboot when the installation program tells me to do, he runs the Windows Installer, but it quickly fails with the "the file fcpcmcia.sys is not found." She did not mention a location where the file is supposed to be. I can't get into Windows XP Tablet PC (first edition) very well and I see there are 3 files fcpcmcia.sys hard disk.

Any ideas? I have to upgrade this Tablet PC for the 2005 edition, because some software I need to run demands it. I tried to reinstall the fcpcmcia.sys (drivers FreeCom) but that did not help.

The CD player I use is a Targus slimline CD-ROM/DVD-ROM (PCMCIA, USB not) which is recommended by Toshiba on their Web site.

    Thank you

    Hello

It is difficult to say why this message.
The problem is that you have installed the OS of the original note Toshiba recovery CD.
On the page of the Toshiba driver I found the cardbus driver. Maybe you need this driver?

Usually if you install the new operating system, you must install the correct drivers Toshiba in the right order. The chipset utility, cardbus, common modules driver are very important and must be installed first.

  • IastorA.sys is not found

    Hello world

I need to downgrade a machine windows 7 to windows XP. I have formatted discs and I try to install windows XP using RAID1.
Sata is configured for Raid mode. I downloaded the raid drivers and store them on a floppy disk. I then press F6 to load and I get a list of RAID and AHCI drivers to load.
I tried all the raid drivers appearing on the list and every time the driver is loaded successfully from the diskette. I then press 'enter', the installation continues for a few seconds and then I get the error:

    iaStorA.sys is not found

I do not understand why. It loads the driver but then cannot find it?

I also tried to integrate the driver iastora.sys with nLite on a Setup disk, but didn't make any difference.

    Any suggestions please?

    Hi again,

    Hi Kim,

First of all thanks for respone and sorry for the delay to return but am in Australia so bit of a lag in time!

OK the sequence goes as follows:

1 gigabyte MB BIOS screen - at this stage sensitive keyboard and I can access BIOS OK.

    2. new screen - PCI resources; Checking DMI Pool etc. ;

    3. new screen - "Please choose which startup option:

    -Windows XP Home Edition

    -Installation of Windows XP.

and countdown etc. - from this point in the sequence of the keyboard does not respond so cannot select the OS and inadmissible F8, then highlighted option default selected that is configured.

    4. new screen - "check you computer hardware configuration...".

    5. new screen - "the file awduu36e.sys is not found. Press a key to continue. "

As the keyboard is unresponsive after the BIOS screen I have no way of influencing the order above.

    Other relevant points:

-When you make commissioning/repair day I received the message to halfway through - "awduu36e.sys file is not found" and the option start over or ignore; after another attempt to a couple of times I chose skip so I guess that I got myself into this mess. What is awduu36e.sys anyway?

-My copy of Windows XP Home Edition SP3 OEM is and has been installed when I got to the machine, so I think that some repair options are not available for me in any case.

Again thank you very much for the reply and any help you can provide,

    Kind regards

    Fraser

Looks like you are leaving it too late to use F8 (must be before the OS options appear)- and you have a partial installation of some versions of Windows in progress seeking the file on a CD.

  • Satellite Pro M10 Hibernate - error message "the file is not found.

I have the Satellite Pro M10. I have problem in the power of Eve v6.00.04. When I want to activate the Hibernate mode it give a massage: * the file is not found. Please confirm the name of the specified file *.

I can't use the hibernation mode. I tried to uninstall the Toshiba power saver and install again but the massage even come. If anyone has experienced the same problem and have a solution? Please advice

When you active hibernating the operating system creates a file named hiberfil.sys in the root of your system drive.
Of course, this file is missing in your installation.
You can activate and disable hibernation in the system control-> power options.
Disable hibernation, restart and enable again. Is there an error message? Maybe your C drive has insufficient free space?
The size of the hibernation file is different from your main memory size.

  • Error "this application has failed to start because normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Original title: error explorer.exe, Normaliz.dll is missing please help me about the issue.

    Hello

I get the error "this application has failed to start because normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem"Please help me!

Well - so much for the expertise of committed Microsoft Support Engineer 'experts', but no answer to what I expected.

See how it works for you:

If you see a message like this:

Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

It is in the case Log:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Application Popup
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 26
    Description:

Application popup: Explorer.EXE - unable to locate component: this application has failed to start because Normaliz.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.

Start explorer.exe, but the normaliz.dll file.  If explorer.exe is not able to run, you will not be able to do much with your system until the replacement of normaliz.dll.

You can click OK for errors and finished up in the Task Manager where you can try to fix it.  The message can keep popping up from time to time, while you're fixing it, so just click OK to close the message.

If normaliz.dll is missing, you can copy it from a working system to the system afflicted with the same version of XP and Internet Explorer.

You will get a good copy and put it on a floppy disk, thumb drive etc and copy it to your system plagued by using Manager tasks.

The normaliz.dll file must be located in the c:\windows\system32 folder and therefore is not a Windows file protected, making the Microsoft Support Engineer 'experts' suggest running sfc/scannow, which is just another one of their prosecution of wild goose that will not work, he'll never work and it will only waste your time (and they don't tell you how to run either - if explorer.exe does not start).

Then engaged Microsoft Support Engineer 'experts' will offer to you develop a copy of the file from the XP installation CD you probably haven't, but it is also not on your XP installation CD, and you will have the same problem try their suggestions to 'try' to start in any any Mode without failure, so this will not help you.  These "experts" seem to think that the Safe Mode boot or boot will replace magically missing files, but it doesn't.

You also will be able to properly run a browser on the system afflicted to go on Internet download one.

There is a large computer security risk in the normaliz.dll from some website download.  The best idea is to get a copy of normaliz.dll from another computer that has the same version of XP and IE and replace it from a USB device (which you can access from the Manager tasks), or using a system that works, you can download one of my SkyDrive.

You can still use the Task Manager to run the system restore and bring it back, but I've never tried and never use SR in all cases.

If you have recently done a bunch of Microsoft updates, you may have also gotten IE8 so maybe that something was wrong here although the normaliz.dll is the same for each version.

When you see the error, you can click beyond it and eventually arrived at your screen background image where you can press CTRL-ALT-DEL to start Task Manager. TM, you can click file, new task, Browse and edit the menu drop-down "Files of type" to all files that you can see all the files in folders.

Go to c:\windows\system32 to see if normaliz.dll is really missing. If the error appears again while browsing, just click OK to get past it.  The explorer.exe tries to run and cannot until the missing file is replaced.

If it's the only thing missing, you can get one from a working system of the same type as yours, copy on a Flash DRIVE or a floppy disk and always using TM, to browse, copy and paste it where it should be or you can download one of my SkyDrive.

TM, you can still access your thumb or any other medium the same disk by navigating, copy, paste, etc very well all work.  You use TM to navigate to your thumb or floppy disk, copy the normaliz.dll good and then paste it in the c:\windows\system32 folder, where it is supposed to be.

If things get worse, just return to TM and remove the file back where you were in first place and continue troubleshooting.

Using a system that works, you can also download a copy of the file from my SkyDrive and put it on a floppy or USB thumbdrive and networks diskettes for the distressed system.  Sandalenet means wear you the system afflicted by hand.

I downloaded a copy of XP Pro SP3 file you need on my SkyDrive (everyone has a SkyDrive for file sharing).

You can download it and when you do, place a copy of the file in these two folders (assuming that Windows is installed on your C drive):

    c:\Windows\System32

Here is the link to my SkyDrive and you can get the file you need here:

    https://SkyDrive.live.com/?CID=6a7e789cab1d6f39&ID=6A7E789CAB1D6F39! 311

When you see the files available for download, you can not see the file extension (.exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc.), but when download you them they will have the right extension.

When you download the file (especially if you use Internet Explorer), when you get a chance to save the file, your browser is unable to save the file with an extension (by example, .exe, .dll, .cpl, .sys, .zip, etc) then you will need to manually add the extension appropriate to the file when you download the file before you save it.

You can download the file without the extension, and then rename the file to add the appropriate extension.  You do not want to use a file called normaliz when the name of the file should really be called normaliz.dll (if the downloaded file has no extension, you will need to change the name of the file to add the appropriate extension to make it work.

You then put the downloaded files in the correct folders on your system.

That may not solve all your problems, but at least you will be spending this part and we can then fix the rest.
