  Hello, before I downloaded Windows 7 I used vista and one of the main games I play's RuneScape and they have an option for the SD (Standard retail) that is low graphics and HD (high detail) which is higher and better graphics. When I used vista I could play high detail, now that I'm using Windows 7, it won't let me play on Standard detail, I can not play on hard drive and if anyone plays RuneScape you know that SD is boring and HD is so much better. Is it possible that I can fix this or do I have to just wait for an update with Windows 7 or something? I don't think it's my computer because I tried on my laptop and got the same results.

  Seems to work fine for me on Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. I just installed Java, made an account and installed the game to check and it works fine on this end. You probably just an older version of Java? Do not check the updates using either in the control panel. Go to the Java website and do it manually.

• Java works only with windows 7, I think.

  OK I do not know exactly what the problem is, my best guess is that windows 7 is not letting me use whatever it is related to java. I made sure that I had the most current version of java, when download it even said that it is compatible with windows 7. Once the download is complete there is a link, you can click on "test if java works properly" (or something in that sense) but when I click on all my browsers just closed. I use firefox, but I also had the same problem trying to access java with IE. Another example of this problem is when I try to play games on Funorb (a gaming site that uses mainly Java) or if I try to play Runescape. As soon as I click 'Play' on runescape or funorb all my browsers close.

  Another problem I had is whenever I restart my computer, and then turn on again, I can not connect to the internet. For some reason, I have two networks that I am connected. First of all is a home network, and the second is a unknown audience network. I have no idea whence this public network. The only way I can get rid of him, in so doing, I find my access to the internet, is to disable all the 'connections to the Local network' and then allow them once again. For some reason, this makes the unknown to go and I can get on the internet... but still I can't access java games or test to see if java is working.

  For some reason any my download Java, somehow did not work properly. After I uninstalled and reinstalled Java (TWICE the first time I did it, he did not always work) it works great.

  Go to the Control Panel and open "Programs and features" check what version of Java is installed on your computer.

  If you have a Version that is older, then you must remove the older version of "Programs and features" and install the latest version by visiting here: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

  It is normally acceptable to load new versions of Java on top of older versions, but in this case we want to start over with a latest full version.

  Scroll down a bit to the "Download Windows Section" and download/install "Windows 7".

  After download/install this newer version. Close all windows and applications that may be running and "restart" your computer.

  Then click the link once more to return to the download page and select the link that reads "Check Java has been installed properly" If the request has
  downloaded/installed correctly then this test will let know you that Java is working properly.

  After that, try to play Runescape.

  This could well be a virus problem. If your step would be to run a full scan of PC online using the following link:

  Have you installed security software after formatting windows?

  If so, you can uninstall the security software temporarily and check if you receive the access violation error.

• Bootcamp Windows - partition cannot be mounted

  I've been using Windows on my iMac (late 2012, Yosemite 10.10.5) without problem but today after I started MacOS Yosemite (to control simple file), cannot start again to return to Windows. Had no problem Bootcamp before... have not used to any advantage either 3rd disk utility. The only thing I have recently increased the Windows size 200 GB partition by decreasing the MacOS partition through disk utility (a month ago, no problem since then until today)

  1. Windows has disappeared from the startup disk

  

  2. disk utility shows disk0s4 gray and cannot be mounted. In addition, the correct partition size was 700 but here its listed as 500 GB GB (which was the old size before you increase it)

  If you boot into OS x, OSX will use all 8 GB of RAM.
