Running 32-bit and 64-bit firefox in parallel

Given that not all plugins are supported in 64-bit Firefox (using minefield 4.0b13pre) it would be convenient if we could run two browsers at the same time. Currently, when 64-bit running Minefield, starting Firefox 32 bit starts a new window of minefield.

If he started Firefox, I could run my flash sites in Firefox while doing my main surfing in the minefield. Currently, I have no choice than to start the flash in IE

Make sure you have different profiles for each version of Firefox/minefield. Create a shortcut to launch the right profile for each version and add the - No.-line remote control switch, I only use this argument of command line for the minor version and start the first major version without this command line argument.

Hello, I am writing because I have a few problems with my favorite browser after update to 8.1 Windows. Here are some details. I've updated Windows 8.0 Windows 8.1, since Firefox run a bit oddly. In particular, when on sites with lots of images like Facebook. It's as if there is some sort of effect of Flikr between the office and the images, as well as between the images and the browser (a bit like old flikering of 16-bit video games). It's not too bad, but it's a question. I tried to reset firefox and restart the computer. I have not tried a repair, and I haven't done an uninstall.

If so, that is probably why the firefox.exe process is get "hung up". The related Bug has been fixed week last, and (I hope) , it shouldn't be a problem within 30 of Firefox which is scheduled for release Tuesday, June 10, as mentioned Moses.

  • How we replace 32-bit Firefox 3.6 with a 64-bit "current version"?

Because my computer is a 64 bit system, I want to replace as many 32-bit and 64-bit compilations, as much software as I can, give up executables that can not be replaced.

Assuming that Mozilla has released a compilation of 64-bit Firefox, how to identify it and get it?

"Firefox Setup 8.0.1.exe" tell me if it installs 32-bit or 64-bit instead. The automagic updates Firefox sometimes wants to replace the 32-bit version 3.6 with a 32-bit "current version" is not a real update to 3.6.

One of the reasons that I kept running version 3.6, it is that there is no compelling reason to replace a 32-bit application that is installed with a few 'upgrade' in the same 32-bit application on this computer. In fact, if Mozilla down the tithe and a 64-bit compilation which is willing to maintain, I'll move the Chrome.

Sorry, that Mozilla has not yet released a version of Windows 64 bit Firefox. And what I read on the 64 - bit versions tested in recent months, the current 32-bit versions of Firefox are faster.

You must uninstall your current Firefox installation, and then reinstall Firefox.

-> Uninstall Firefox on your computer

    • DO NOT SELECT DELETE THE SETTINGS AND DATA OF THE USER
    • Restart your system

-> Download Firefox latest version of one of these links by using a different Web browser:

Check and tell if its working.

  • 64-bit Firefox support status

I just built a new pc from scratch, it is Win 7 Ultimate. I would like to install Firefox 64 bit version which is now in developers. before I do, can you tell me how long will it take before this version is GA I also have the following plugins, they are 64-bit and supported at this time, Adobe PDF plugin for Firefox, the QuickTime Plugin, Shockwave Flash. I would like to install the 64-bit version of FF now rather than to install the 32-bit version, then 1-2 months from now reinstall the 64-bit version. Thank you for your time and your advice.

For Win64 Firefox you need 64 bit Plugins while Firefox 32 bits Windows, you need 32-bit Plugins.

If you want to use other Plugins not to mention that Flash Player on Windows, you must use 32-bit Firefox and 32-bit Plugins of Firefox 41,0 +.

The Win64 builds since version 37.0b2 of Firefox on the beta channel for QA purposes. As said that the 41.0 Firefox will be the first to have Win64 for immediate release unless it changes. The 40.0 Firefox was originally planned to have Win64 briefly before changing status to 41.0 Fx.

The 64-bit versions of Firefox on Mac OSX and Linux (which exists since Firefox mozilla.org4.0) may continue to use the NPAPI Plugins 64 bits that exist for browsers such as Firefox and SeaMonkey on OS x and Linux.

    https://www.Mozilla.org/Firefox/channel/#beta
    https://www.Mozilla.org/Firefox/beta/all/

Note that if you beta Test or Aurora (developer edition) built you stay on this channel and get updates on this channel. Beta can get six to 12 Beta builds for a version in Aurora (and nightly) get check-ins almost every day so it gets updates every day. To return to the output channel, you install the current version.

  • Embedded search Google on our site shows no results. Windows 8, 64-bit, Firefox 30

We integrated into our Google search site. It has been brought to my attention by one of our employees that Firefox does not show the search results after a click on the search button. The question seems to be limited only to Firefox. Tested the problem on Internet Explore 10 and Google Chrome and both work as expected, showing the results on our results page.

I use Windows 8, 64-bit, Firefox 30. The user whose question is on Windows 7, 64 bit.

I used the Web console and there was an error message
    "TypeError: google.search.Search.apiary5337 is not a function". "

I'm not sure that it is the root of the problem or not, but why would that work in Chrome and Internet Explorer and not Firefox?

If you need to check it out, the website is http://www.dmns.org/ . The search box at the top right of the page. You will see that the page redirects to our ' / results? q = searchterm "." We are a scientific institution so if you type 'science' in the search box, you will be redirected to the page ' / results "with the query string of 'science' for the search term. But in my case, the search results below are white. If you search even if Chrome or IE results show very well.

Oh, I don't have any add on installed on Firefox.

Any suggestions or a fix would be great.

    Thank you.

    Carlos Mosqueda

    Problem SOLVED.
It is probably still a bug in Firefox. Our Google search < script > that call the function Javascript to Google has been within the Body tag. I moved the Script tag in the head and now it seems to work as expected. In the new Firefox, are not allowed within the Body element < script > tags?

  • Re: Satellite T130 - can I run 32-bit Client VPN on Windows 64-bit?

Just got my T130 yesterday but unfortunately realized, it is a machine that is 64-bit and all my corporate apps like VPN Client 32-bit (like all our Office Tools). Is it possible to run 32-bit on this platop mode please... ?

    Thank you for your support.

    Hello

I agree with the user above. According to your VPN software it will maybe work on 64 bit OS because it s also able to handle 32-bit programs normally

In your case I would try to install the software and then you can give us feedback: how it works. It would be interesting, and I think for other users. :)

    Good luck!

  • I have Windows Vista 64 processors w/a & able to run 32-bit & 64-bit programs. How can I go about installing of some 32-bit programs?

I have a Windows Vista Home Premium with a 64 processor. It is able to run 64-bit programs and 32-bit. It seems (wired) LOL, to run 64-bit programs. I understand that it saves space on the CPU?  I'm desperate to run the most recent version of Adobe Flash Player, but it will only work in 32-bit version of Windows Vista. Is it possible that I can get there?  I checked my system & under Internet Explorer 32-bit, the only programs are JAVA STANDARD VERSION 6, version 1.6.0. & Speech text... Is there anyway I can use my 32-bit version of Internet Explorer to run some programs that I can't run currently not using the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer?

  • How to solve (can't run 16-bit windows) Windows vista.thanks in advance

try to load a legacy program that requires Windows 3.1

    Hello

Windows Vista does not include a 16-bit subsystem. You will not be able to run 16-bit applications on Windows Vista directly.

You can check if the program works in Windows XP compatibility mode.

Make older programs in this version of Windows

If you use Windows Vista business, Windows Vista Enterprise or Windows Vista Edition integral, you can try to install Virtual PC and then you can install Windows XP on your virtual PC to run 16-bit applications.

You can download Virtual PC for Vista from the link below:
Download the full version of Microsoft Virtual PC 2007.
