Running Java?
On the news today, they say I should stop using Java and uninstall it. How will this affect my XP Home Edition?
Unless you use a website or a program that requires Java, it will have no effect except to make your computer more secure and perhaps slightly improve performance. I do not use Java, whenever I have a computer, the first thing you can do is to uninstall Java (with a number of other programs, I do not use or need). Less software you have running in the background doing who-knows-what contacted by a web site or a malicious program, the safer you are.

I'm unable to running Java; I get a ClassNotFoundException error.
After updating to the latest version of Java (7.10), I am unable to run Java at all. Upon detection of Java (http://java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp), I get an error message and when I click, it says there is a ClassNotFoundException error. I tried to reinstall Firefox, reinstall this version of Java and some older versions, try Chrome and IE9, and in any case, I met the same problem. On my addons, it appears as usual, and installation works very well. Both:
- Next-generation Java plug-in for browsers Mozilla 10.10.2
- Deploy Script NPRuntime plugin Library for Java (TM)
Are enabled, next to the browser settings on the parameters of control of Java, and I cleared the cache as well. I tried all the relevant patches on http://java.com/en/download/testjava.jsp. I have absolutely no idea what to do. I've tried everything. Anyone of you have any suggestions?
Hey all, I just wanted to post the solution I came to. I found another thread which solved my problem (https://forums.oracle.com/thread/2397610), in particular the last post. It boils down to this line:
"I used the tip above to add in the Panel / Java / Java / View / Runtime settings the value - Djava .net .preferIPv4Stack = true for my 2 JRE then saved and restarted my browser and suddenly he worked.*.
It suddenly worked for me also. Good luck!

What embedded devices can run java?
I know raspberry pi can run java, but the raspberry pi is expensive for very small applications like flashing LED some and such. so that all options for the lower part and less expensive integrated microcontrollers (not necessarily full boards)?
How do I know if a device can run java? key words to look for?
Hello
Unfortunately, Raspberry PI's on cheaper Embedded devices with Java ME embedded inside.
Look, Java ME embedded can be distributed in two ways:
1. non-commercial OTN being distributed for free that available on Oracle Java ME embedded it comes to runtimes Java ME shipped for non-commercial use. I think raspberry is the cheaper camera
2. peripheral commercial Java ME produced and distributed by suppliers. You can try to find out the real price of the modules gemalto (M2M Modules and terminals in wireless communications) in your country. It may be less expensive than the Raspberry PI.
Kind regards

Definition of reserves on the running JAVA Virtual machines
I recently came across an overview of VMware performance that had a page essentially recommending reservations memory setting for the running Java virtual machines (see table). We have Java environments and did not have performance problems or complaints so, I doubt that I would implement any changes. However, I am curious to know if it's even a better practical recommendation, I could not put the date on the document so I wanted to see if someone had updated or current information for vSphere 4.X, 5.X environments.
In General, we only use reservations memory to avoid the overhead administrative and operational increased. If we have never not a necessity, I prefer to use reservations to pool resources rather than granular level VM reservations.
In my opinion, if you use the reservations are a regularity no exception in your environment, then you can use these rules. That said, if you don't have no problem, I wouldn't change anything. I've also linked a new document below.

How can I stop the security warning, when running java in Internet Explorer?
I am a Chief technician of this web application, and part of the present application has a Java Applet. We have recently changed our signed certificates, on our servers, and now when a user that uses Java 1.7 or higher runs the Java Applet, they receive a pop before loading of the Applet that says:
"The connection to this Web site is not reliable."
«Note: the certificate is not valid and cannot be used to verify the identity of this Web site.»
When I click on more information, I get an another pop up that says:
The certificate that is used to identify the Web site is not approved. The reasons are listed below.
Proceed at your own risk.
The certificate authority that issued the certificate of ths is not approved.
(I don't quite have ths. It's the way it is written in the error message).
We have a signed certificate, but I think he's complaining that the intermediate cert, namely GlobalSign organization Validation CA - SHA256 - G2 is not certified.
My question is: Y at - it something can do to prevent this pop up for all users who use this Java Applet?
For what it's worth, we discovered that it was. When we installed the new certificates on our servers, we also discovered that you will install the certificates of all intermediate servers listed in your certificate. Does this mean that all URLS on your certificate, you should have the intermediate certificate for the CA installed. This includes also all your domains Alt names, even if they do not use the applet.

Answered correctly by James_D:
pasted below:
The solution is to create new menu items which are copies of those in the context menu of the table:
private ContextMenu showOnlyAppendContextMenuItemIfRowIsEmptyElseIncludeDelete() {} RowMenu ContextMenu = new ContextMenu(); ContextMenu tableMenu = table.getContextMenu (); If (tableMenu! = null) {} {for (MenuItem item: {tableMenu.getItems ())} RowItem MenuItem = new MenuItem (item.getText ()); rowItem.setGraphic (item.getGraphic ()); rowItem.setOnAction (item.getOnAction ()); rowMenu.getItems () .add (rowItem); } } rowMenu.getItems () .add (MenuItem ("delete")) new; Return rowMenu; }

Running Java off Jdeveloper - problem with dependent libraries program
Hello, I use Jdeveloper 11.1.1.7 and built a java application that imports XML files into Oracle and then exports an XML file to others pick up. I use jaxb, java persistence, and javax.mail etc...
When I run the Jdeveloper application, it works well and now I'm trying to place the application in my u:\temp directory to test, run the command line. Later, I will propose it to linux to run.
In Jdeveloper, I followed the instructions on adding all the pots of load in the application using file groups ( http://tompeez.wordpress.com/2011/06/01/creating-a-jar-file-in-jdeveloper/ )
You may create a very large jar with all dependent jar called xmlseprocessing.jar files and then I run as such in the back
set the classpath =. ; javax.mail_1.4.jar; xmlseprocessing.jar
SUP:
CD u:\temp
C:\Oracle11117\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin\javac commandLineStartup.java
C:\Oracle11117\Middleware\jdk160_24\bin\java commandLineStartup
I get this error:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/mail/MessagingException
I look on the internet and finally decides to catch the javax.mail_1.4.jar put in my u:\temp directory and update the classpath and run it, , but then I get this error.
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: javax/persistence/persistence

... 5 more
My hypothesis is that I have to enter each jar, add to my local directory and create a very long way as oracle at the start of the jdeveloper application (see below)
QUESTION: given that I added all the libraries needed to the xmlseprocessing.jar - why this phenomenon happens? Any solution? I'm doing something wrong?
Points awarded! Any help would be greatly appreciated.
That's what I see in the log window when I run the application in Jdeveloper.

Please understand that I'm on a tight schedule and have spent two weeks in writing an app that I can't run outside of jdeveloper. I have only some experience with java - I have worked intensively with Jdeveloper, but were only deploy to Weblogic, so a lot of this is foreign to me.
Well, there isn't an easy way to tell but it looks like you don't take into account your level of experience when you set (or wanted to) as "tight." Schedules should be based on: 1) the amount and type of work that must be done, 2) resources (including contacts) that are available and 3) the relevance of these resources (including skill level) to work.
Until that point, I was impressed by Java. Now, I'm about to throw my computer out the window.
Hmmm - nothing of what you posted indicates that the problem is due to the computer or Java.
java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError:
This exception is thrown when a class is referenced by the code, or another class, and the required class can NOT be found on the way to class, or in pots on the classpath.
A teacher gives a workbook at home you and asking you to problem #17. You go home and start working on the problem #17. And then you discover this problem references diagram # 17 #17 b in the "lab examples document". Hmmm - you do not have such a document. You now have a "NohandoutFoundError". You cannot complete the assignment until you find the examples document and 'add to your classpath.
Your problem is just as simple as this example. Java must be able to find EVERY SINGLE CLASS that is referenced in the code you are running. These classes must be on the way to class, or in a jar file that is located on the classpath.
It's as simple as this - this exception indicates that you are referring to a class that cannot be found. Your mission, if you decide to accept it, is to find out WHY this class can not be found. The class is NOT on the classpath or does NOT match any of the jars, which is on the classpath.
The solution is also simple - add the class or jar in the classpath.
The hard part for you is to know how to determine ALL the classes that might miss instead of finding out about them both.
This task is complicated by your apparent use of a MASSIF of jars of third parties who are part of WebLogic or Eclipse.
Why your use of Weblogic and Eclipse jars if application is a standalone application? WebLogic's application server. And you said that you use JDeveloper so why the eclipse jar file?
C:\temp\wljmsclient.jar; C:\temp\com. Oracle.toplink_1.0.0.0_11 - 1-1-5 - 0.jar; C:\temp\org. Eclipse.persistence_1.1.0.0_2 - 1.jar; C:\temp\com.BEA.core.ANTLR.runtime_2.7.7.jar; C:\temp\javax.p
The part above has a "toplink" pot, a pot of 'eclipse' and a jar of "bea". This seems to be a rather odd mixture of jar for a stand-alone application files.
I gave you the simple answer above - add missing classes or jars to the CLASSPATH.
If you need help more than that, then you need publish information on WHAT architecture is still using your application (appserver, EJB, etc.) and what 3rd party classes you THINK you are trying to use.

Run JAVA code on a UDF value as OID process update
Hello
I have a JAVA code that I want to run as soon as "UDF Updated" task runs. I created this task on the "Update of the FDU" process, which is integrated into the map "adpOIDModifyUser". I want to run this JAVA code at the same time where there is a change in the value of the UDF and then this UDF value is pre-populated also in the form of process OID and then finally thrust to OID.
Basically I want these 2 tasks to occur at the time of the update of the UDF:
1.) run the JAVA code by taking the new value of the UDF.
2.) push the new value of the UDF in OID.
I created and all the changes in the lookup.usrprocesstriggers, tasks 2 process 'change UDF' and 'udf' updated and all that good stuff.
But I'm stuck at creating a task in JAVA and how to operate as a dependant on the UDF update task.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thank you
-oidm.Just to see all the answers carefully.
See their description. You will find a description that tells you this task is completed. It is mapped to some C.
Just select this answer and see below, you will have the task to which it. Click Add task, and then select your task in which you attached your java code.
SO, whenever your update triggers or completed task successfully it wil trigger another task
Let me know if you need any other information. As I have machine with you, I'm not able to tell the name of the exact answer. If you see carefully you will easily find it.
