running labview 8.2 matlab mfile

Hello

I work in a project essentially using labview 8.2 and I wrote a program in matlab R2008(m file) and I want to run this file in my labview program; I also load the program into the mathscript window, but it did not because the m file contains many functions; I was wondering if you can help me please in this way.

can't wait to receive from you

worked well with me... attached image shows your script, copied and pasted into a knot of mathlab formula and the running program asking the xls file.

get you there? If you did, send us the xls so that we can go to test more

Don't you have the crux of formula script Matlab? should be in mathematics > scripts and formulas nodes > Matlab script node.

(if you don't have it please tell me)

  • Low configuration computer cannot run Labview real-time

    Hi all

I'm a little confused when I run Labview in another computer. The application written by my laptop already worked well. Then I package it and installed on another computer.

The application can run in this computer as well, but the waveformchart (to display the data) could not keep time real (about 5-6 seconds of delay).

I tried to install the second computer, and he could run well as it did in my laptop

So, I don't know where the problem was. I guess the computer configuration affect the speed of acquisition? (Because the first computer I installed was version and has a configuration below)
(I used Arduino to get the data through processes with labview and analog pins)

Please see and tell me what exactly is my problem?

    A few tips:

-All operations that don't rely on the acquired data, their outside the while loop (for example some of the functions of filter design) because you probably don't have to do it once at the beginning

-The LIFA Toolbox is no longer supported and has been replaced for a long time by the LINX Toolbox - you can consider using the Toolbox current taken in charge

-Your loop at the top of the diagram does nothing - you take an array of 1000 points and index the elements in an array of 1000 points - so does not change the table - just straight through wire.

-You may want to consider using an architecture of producer/consumer - write data to files is slow and can be slow down your loop (especially on an old hard drive!), if you put the data to another loop, you can write to file without slowing down your data acquisition.

  • There is a possibility to run Labview projects or to set them off from a batch file or if the exist and the ability to control labview or run it from an external application?

Hi, I m a bit new in LabVIEW and I'd like to ask a few questions...

-There is a possibility to run Labview projects or to set them off from a batch file or if the exist and the ability to control labview or run it from an external application?

-One API PI or raspberry beaglebone exists for LabVIEW?

-Power supply Wich can recommend you control with LabVIEW? (some chip solution witn 0 - 30v / 0 - 3A DC)

    Elena,

I know raspberry, so no comment on that.

    For the rest:

-Do you want to create tools for developers? If so, we must look in the API of project VI and VI server. If this isn't the case, please compile your application LV as executable and call this one using a batch file.

-LV prefer specific supplies. LV is a programming language. There are several power supply providers (including OR) which provide directly the LV API for their power supplies. So, essentially, the approach is:

    1. choose food that serves your needs.

    2. check if the power supply has a standard interface for programming (such as Ethernet, GPIB, or if the power supply is PXI, is already providing a programming interface!)

    3. check if the LV API (so-called "instrument driver") is available for the device. In the case of a PXI system, get you a device driver (for example NI DCPower).

    4. check if the LV samples are available (for example in the Finder for example LV once you have installed the driver).

  • executable files may only work running labview

    Dear all,

I simply create an executable file that calls several functions of a DLL (also written in LabVIEW), the LabVIEW DLL will call a DLL acquisition card written in c ++ to capture images from my camera. Everything worked fine until I have copy my entire program to a pc with the only run LabVIEW and installed vision. While the program no longer works. The LabVIEW DLL I call keep will return null string that it's not supposed to be. The DLL is supposed to return 0 for any mistake or any number which is the error code.

Help, please... Thank you very much!!

    Hi GerdW,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I just thought of it.

It was because I only installed runtime of vision but has not installed the device IMAQ driver.

My program works fine after installing the device IMAW driver.

  • Run LabVIEW executable in Windows 7

Can I run an executable of Labview created with Labview 8.6(32-bit) in windows 7 or Vista. If this can be done then how? I tried to copy the lvrt.dll (runtime engine) in the system 32 folder, but it is not solved my problem. FYI, my Labview exe file also include the fuzzy logic toolkit.

Hope someone will help me. Thank you.

  • How do I run Labview applications into a tablet with android os

How to run the Labview application in the tablet with android operating system?

Can we use Labview mobile module or use the google game for labVIEW data dashboard? How to install in the PC?

If you had looked at the dashboard of data and some other links on Android, you will see that you can not run a LabVIEW on Android application. Nor can use you a serial port. With data dashboard, you have a pc that runs LabVIEW and publishes to shared network variables. The Android data dashboard allows you to see these variables.

  • Run LabVIEW vi - steps stage construction simple comparison

I watched both 'Building run LabVIEW VI steps of a model' and 'Create Plug - Ins to with LabView SignalExpress', but they don't tell me what to do about errors in the process.

I am trying to create a step of the user of the Less.VI.  Because it's a 'polymorphic vi', I find that I need to 'create a forum '.  There is no explanation of this expression is found, so I created a new white VI and inserted Less.vi.  Another State of instructions as the inputs and outputs must be connected to the terminals of the VI.  However, this VI has no object of front panel and I can't find any instructions on how to connect a terminal to the block diagram display.

When I go through the procedure in "creating SignalExpress Plug-Ins with LabView", I always get a Bachelor's degree in LAW with a VI that will not open, when I try to insert using a LabVIEW 8.6 VI step adds - run a LabVIEW VI - run (since I created the source distribution in LabVIEW 8.6).

I checked that I removed exclusion for user.vi and instr.vi in the Instructions to build.

This 'easy' with LabVIEW SignalExpress interchangeability is what I most need.  The document "Creating."... "isn't really a tutorial because it does not pass by one example.

Someone please help which created and transferred a user step in LabView - one with no object of façade?

    Hi wildcatherder,

The Less.vi is not a normal VI, but is rather a function.  However, you can create a VI of this.  To create a connection in the pane of a VI connector and you must go to the front where you have your desired entry and commands and output indicators ("for the Less.vi, you can create these simply by double-clicking on the terminals of the function on the block diagram and selecting Create" "indicator or Create ' control).  In the upper right corner of the front panel, there will be the VI icon.  If you right-click this, you can select display connector.  This should display the connector pane.  When you click on a terminal in the connector pane, your cursor should turn on a coil of wire.  By clicking on a command or the indicator after that, you connect an object to front panel to the terminal you selected.  You can find more information on this here.  Go to the section called "Building the connector pane."

  • status of the computer to run LabVIEW 8.6 remote façade

    Hello

Is there any specific computer to run LabVIEW 8.6 remote panel?

It's same as LabVIEW 8.6 run?

Or I just need Internet access? how fast the Internet is to ensure the quality of the programming? Any fine version of web brouser? where could I find info relavent?

    Thank you!

    Cynitha

The client computer would need the engine to run LabVIEW. The conditions for this are detailed in the LabVIEW 8.6 Release Notes. With regard to the 'speed' internet should be - that depends entirely on the amount of information that is sent. This KB article details some of the browser requirements.

  • Can I use my license to run LabVIEW to work on a PC and at home on an iMac?

I would like to be able to work on my LabVIEW projects at home to avoid a long drive, which seems to be allowed by the license (single user license). However, my work computer is a Dell PC and my home one as imac and I said I need another license for the iMac, which is very expensive. The license does not say computers must be of the same type, and I am fulfillng the license terms that I can't run both versions at the same time. If someone else has had this problem and if so, how is it resolved.

    TIA for any help.

(I hope this is the right forum for this question, but I can't find one for a single-user license)

    Hi LongTom,

LabVIEW for Windows and LabVIEW for Mac are not only different licenses, the software is actually different. The architecture of operating systems is different enough so that the copy of Windows in LabVIEW and the copy of Mac have different software in them.

But do not despair, there is a way around this. You can install a virtual Windows on your Mac Machine. This creates an environment on your Mac, which is actually a Windows environment. Once you have done this, you can install the software on your Virtual Machine and it use it.

The license allows that LabVIEW named users to install on 3 computers at work and another at home, then you are in the terms of the license.

  • Running Labview embedded Office - MinnowBoard or raspberry pi 2

It is possible to run the executable LabView in the embedded Board?

as a raspberry pi 2, minnowBoard, BeableBone?

    Thank you

    It's the one - http://www.tsxperts.com/labviewforraspberrypi/

Looks really cool, but still some time away.

Edit - you should know that they do not already have the version of Arduino out. I did have the opportunity to use it, but the IP is obviously a more promising target because of its benefits.

  • Problem in opening and running LabVIEW in separate user account

    Hello

I would like to create a 2nd user account on my computer in the laboratory that has LabVIEW 2011 installed on it. However, when I try to open LabVIEW in the 2nd user account there is an error code 1 and another message complaining about some dialogue 3 button VI.

I found that I can still continue by clicking OK, except that now I can't start my VI, where I copied over my 1 user account. I get attached errors, including one that seems to be complaining of Simple error handler in my VI which runs at the end of my program error messages. Does anyone have an idea on how to fix the errors?

    Help, please!

    Thank you!!!

    Hi Vrinkle,

LabVIEW is usually installed in "C:\Program files (x 86) \National Instruments\LabVIEW xxx ', where"(x 86) "is the version of LabVIEW application for a 32-bit version of LabVIEW on a Windows 64-bit and"xxx"brand (year)." In this folder you will find subfolders "vi.lib", "instr.lib" and "user.lib" - all the rights granted to your new user account need to access these files (like all the others those of LabVIEW file)!

BTW. display your serial number on a public forum is not the best idea...

  • Excellent black screen when running LabVIEW 12.0 on Windows 7 (32 bit)

I've migrated just a LabVIEW 8.0 on a Windows XP-based computer program to work with LabVIEW 12.0 on a Windows 7 computer (32 bit).  I've converted all the Excel 2000 (.xls) files in Excel 2010 (.xlsm, .xlsx) files.  When I run the program LabVIEW, I notice that the Excel icon that appears is "yellow" for a 1/2 second intermittently.  This sometimes causes the LabVIEW program hang up.  When you hover over the icon, you do not see the Excel file.  All you see is a black (or white) screen where data must be and the file is not closed properly.  If I close the file, then the LabVIEW program errors.  I will attach a screenshot.  This program retrieves data to Oracle every 20 minutes to update products in the wafer fab queue.  It works 24 / 7.  I went in Excel and set Options, centers of confidentiality, macros settings - enable all macros and checked access approved to the the_VBA project object model.  (Suggestion of our IT tech).  When I restart the LabVIEW program, it works very well.  When he is going to update the first time, Excel goes into vapor lock!  (white screen).  I downloaded the TDM Excel Add - In, but the notes said it was already installed on LabVIEW 9.0 and later versions.  Any ideas?  Mark

  • Strange behavior of the run LabVIEW VI 2013 LabVIEW 7.1

I'm trying to extract some data hardcoded from old code LabVIEW 7.1 and decided to write a small program in 2013 of LabVIEW. The program opens a reference to a VI 7.1, search enums and call it with reference to all combinations of enums.

Actually quite simple, but I've noticed that something is without work, as expected. The old screws have this enum called mode (0 = Manual, 1 = Auto), who is not connected to any connector and has a value default 1 = Auto.

In LabVIEW 7.1, everything works as expected, but when I load this 2013 LabVIEW VI and execute it, without saving the file, it executes the case of 'Manual' rather than 'Auto '. I used a probe to check the value of mode in LabVIEW 2013 and the value is 1 = Auto, but he spends with the value 0 = manual box.

This is just a simplified version of the screw, but the behavior is absolutely the same. The VI (LabVIEW 7.1) is attached. Try to load in 2013 of LabVIEW and run it. I don't have 2014 on my PC.

Screenshot of running in 7.1 and 2013

Any ideas? This happens because of the strange settings on my installation of LabVIEW 2013? Can you reproduce this?

If you have a process already for execution programmatically these VI, what happens if you add to that and make something like a Vale put on the controls programmatically prior to execution of the VI.

  • Error Code 37 running labview 6 with windows XP

I checked most of the posts about this generic error code 37. Here's my dilemma... Labview 6 running on a windows NT system. This computer is on its last breath, and we want to switch to XP... I installed labview 6 on a XP machine and the program works very well... and I actually get my external device data unless I get the ERROR 37... the great thing is I can not launch a Subvi, which creates a linear between because once I get error 37, stops the Subvi. I don't understand how can I read data from my external device, still get the device not found msg. I even tried to install 7 LV and LV 8 still get the same results.

To close the Communication port, you could create a new white vi, ask a close visa on the block diagram, he points to the port to close and run the vi.

  • My compiled program crashes after the first run (LabVIEW 2009)

I have a compiled program created with LabVIEW 2009 which, in the first round, once the computer is restarted, works fine but after discontinuation of the program, it will not work properly.

The program uses a compiled Launcher to dynamically activate a set of VI containing the expectation driven by State Machines (QDSM).  Begins subsequent program launcher module appears fine, and his progress bar shows that she starts each of the VI.  Once the Launcher is complete it removes memory launched Dynamics VI and caressed.  The spear that do not reach the main UI that VI is barely long enough for the observer to see (if there is one) then stops.  The program then went from memory I can say.  There is no process in memory or anything.

Also, when I try to run the installed version of the exe file on a computer with installed 2009 development environment I get this behavior consistently successful launch once again.

In both case, my program does raise all errors (that are connected), or runtime generates everything I can see.  Also, when I run my program in the development environment the program does that way.  He has no problem at all.

I have used this style of architecture front of LV8.6 with all the problems.  Can anyone suggest some possible solutions or even a few debugging tips?  I've never had a problem that I could not duplicate in the development environment, so I'm not sure how to start to attack my question.

    Thanks for any help.

    Jason

I solved the problem I think that (at least with regard to the tests on this point revealed).   After that I added the possibility to connect the past States to of the QDSM, I was able to determine that the program was 'plant' after that I dynamically closed the Panel front of the Launcher.  My program is designed to close the Panel before the pitcher, then pop up the façade of the main user interface.   My EXE is inspired to hold the Launcher with my other files QDSM kept outdoors in specific directories.  What seemed to be happening is that when Launcher closed its façade and before UI opening upward the runtime engine decide since it is y no Windows Open he was closing down.  It's my guess on what might happen any way.  I modified my code to change the Launcher window to hidden and delay for 1/2 second to give a chance to fully start running to the main user interface.  This will correct the problem, or at least worked around her.  If someone out there can explain me exactly what is happening that I sure would appreciate it.

Thanks for all the help that those of you who responded.  Your advice has been very beneficial and certainly led me to a faster resolution.
