  In the system information utility where to look to find the parallel port and the port driver USB, name of file that manages these?

  Know the drivers specific, is only half the story.  Why you looking for these drivers?  You have problems with your parallel port or USB port?  This can be caused by problems with drivers or it could be a hardware problem (hard to diagnose a hardware problem without good parts to swap and test).  If you need to update the drivers, you must use device (not msinfo32) Manager - or maybe clicking on an executable file that loads the drivers automatically (depends on how it is sent by download).

  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need drivers (I assume that you want to the parallel port and USB ports), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  Or run the Setup program of driver provided by the vendor of the computer or the manufacturer of the device.  Be VERY careful get Vista compatible drivers for these devices are difficult to identify (they usually come with the numbers of model or something like that if they can have serial numbers) and using the wrong drivers could make the problem (whatever that is) worse.

  If you update the drivers succerssfully and the problem persists, then it is probably a hardware problem.  In this case, contact the manufacturer of your computer for technical support (hopeully it is still under warranty) or bring it to a professional computer repairman (NOT Geek Squad or one of those big store centers because they don't really know what they're doing and charge a lot for this level of expertise) to have the components tested and possibly replaced.

  My VI opens up a USB port and then data in a while loop for as long I have let it run the process.  When I leave manually the while loop the farm VI the USB port and then stops running.  Using the start command starts the loop and the VI runs.  However, if I use the run button abandon on the toolbar of the VI stops without closing the USB port and the VI will not run again unless I have close and reopen.  How to avoid this problem?

  So I suggest always stop the program from the button on the front panel.

  You can hide the toolbar so that the button abandon cannot be clicked.

  Hello. I'm under PeopleTools 8,53 Oracle Linux 5 with Oracle 11 g 1 material database.

  Process scheduler run reports SQR and get the error message as below:

  Error of the client Http Response Code: 401 - non authorized. Transfer HTTP error.

  My report node information is below:

  URLID: http://ip_address:port/p/psreports/ch

  Home directory: /psreports

  Resource URI: SchedulerTransfer/ch

  Login ID: PS

  Password: mypass

  PeopleTools > IntegrationBroker > Configuration of integration > nodes: authentication option is selected password.

  The 2 roles, ReportDistAdmin and ProcessSchedulerAdmin are granted to the user PS

  Someone tell the error above due to incorrect or misspelled path for report repository in the configuration.properties file.

  I see no error in my configuration.

  My question is:

  Can any help folk to solve 'Error Http 401 - transfer HTTP error response Code' unauthorized customer?

  I just tried to burn the image on a disk. I have a 4.7 GB dvd. And it is at halfway and was told that there is not enough space? At the beginning of this one, I got a box pops up telling me to format the drive? I formatted and got to halfway through and says not enough space on the disk. How it does not stand on a dvd?

  Burn pictures to DVD is a bad, bad idea. Here's why:

  • DVDs are generally medium to small. You need anything between 5 and 20, depending on the amount of user data you store on the system partition.
  • You can't delete the old images.
  • Burned DVD suffers from "DVD rot". Their reliability in the medium term is rather moderate. If you use 10 DVD and you want to restore an image a couple of years now, so it is a good chance that one of them is flawed, making the whole set unusable.

  The solution? Use a disk of 500 or 1000 GB in a USB enclosure. It's the perfect answer to all the problems listed above.

  Hi everyone - I have a flex application that requires a connection first. The connection queries my database to check if it's a name of user and password valid. 95% of the time the query to check if it's a name of user and password valid takes almost no time (less than one second) and the user connects very, very quickly. But on occasion, for some reason, the query takes a long time or something where the valid/invalid result is not returned for about 20 to 40 seconds. If I hit the button submit once again, it will return the SQL query and very quickly (in general) work very well. It is a simple query to find the name of user and password, so I think that something is maybe going on why it it takes so long.

  Two questions:

  1. no idea why this could happen that some of the time, and most of the time it works fine? Any suggestions or fix for this?

  2. an idea to solve this problem I came up with, I could just cancel and resend the request. Anyone know how I can cancel and return the most recent httprequest object? Should I have it checked to see if I do a query, and the result is not returned within 2 seconds, then cancel the current request and return? This does not solve the real problem, but it provide a workaround. If I was a user of connect, and a login page lasted 30 seconds, 5% of the time I connect, I get bored and leave or think that it does not work.

  Note: I may queries on the site, what happens the same question, but the connection of the user request is the most visible and the most important. I would like to find a solution to avoid other problems too.

  HTTPServcie has a requestTimeout property, I don't remember exactly if there is a default value. Together, a custom value and if you get an answer for this amount of time the HTTPService will trigger the ResultEvent. Inspect the event you could get some extra info to know that there was a timeout.
