Running Powershell since an external program and rename files

Hello

I'm new to powershell, I want to run a script powershell from another program. The program is 12d (this is a civil engineering program). It executes files .cmd and .bat as shell command files (I did successfully already). I am sure that you can also write powershell commands.

Can I create .ps1 files. As a previous post, I want to rename the files (insert text in the middle of the file name - number of files not defined). Use the following statement? Also what other statements should I insert in the powerscript file.

Get-Item. \ *. * | ForEach-Object {Rename-Item $_ ($_.)} (Nom: remplacer "copie de", "")}

  • Risks of IE settings: launch programs and dangerous files - enabled for Web Sites

    Hello

Could someone share with me knowledge about security settings in Internet Explorer?

    The parameter name is:

    Launch programs and dangerous files

I wonder what the risks are when this setting is "Enabled" for the Internet zone.

Our client has suffered recently with security warnings when you open a local shortcut. Targets of shortcuts even to local building Windows applications such as Wordpad. And it does not matter where the shortcut is present, whether on office files or local like c:\temp

The security warning is of type: publication could not be verified. Are you sure you want to run this software?

The problem only started after the installation of Internet Explorer 11. Customers with the old version of IE does not suffer from this issue.

We have confirmed two work solutions:

    1. launch programs and potentially dangerous files - enabled for the zone Internet

    2. Add the registry entry:

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Associations]

«LowRiskFileTypes "=".avi;.» beats;. com;. cmd;. exe;. htm;. HTML;. lnk;. MPG;. MPEG;. MOV;. MP3;. MSI;. M3U;. rar;. Reg;. txt;. vbs;. WAV;. zip; »

But we would need to know the security risks for the launch of programs and dangerous files - enabled for the Internet zone.

Somehow, I'm not able to find a good article that describes this feature and risk.

Or can you suggest an alternative? Could this be caused also by a patch?

    Thanks in advance

It appeared that a security program that I'm not familiar with (something like x cloud) took over the windows security and now my webroot security and all other programs and all my files are gone.  How can I safely retrieve them and get rid of the invader?

I use Windows Vista and the antivirus software Kerpersky internet on my Dell laptop. A virus 'seems have wiped my desktop and programs files and the directory of my document files, and index on my C drive and my external drive which was attached when you save.' .. that is the index of the two drives is empty shows that no file already exist...

Kerpesky worked at the time, but he could not stop the attack. However, Karpersky himself was apparently not affected, and when I run that s Karpersky it scanning readings missing files on the C drive and the external drive as being there but appears to any threat of threats...

I managed to get my office back in a configuration much earlier using a Windows roll back feature that resets the list of programs and some very old directories and older files, but I can't see the previous desktop, nor my current "desktop", or a 'my document' content etc.

When I jump into Excel and pick up the last file used, that has been saved on my desktop, it chose upward and able to be re-registered, but if I try to view a list of files via Excel or MS Word, none are found.  Another problem is that my backup disk has got so touched.  I am concerned to recover all my files and also not to overwrite anything on my C drive in the meantime. What are the best tools to solve this problem?

    Thank you

    Peter

Problem has been fixed.  I had a breakthrough last night when I did a bit of research to specific directories and found that files and directories 'lost' were just 'hidden '. I used the Windows tools to display all the files and directories hidden in the C drive and HARD drive and were able to view each of them to solve my problem.

    Thank you very much

  • problem running programs and .exe files

computer has been corrupted (by clicking on kids')-tried malwarebytes' anti-malware scan, when I rebooted, nothing works.  I tried microsoft security, but could not access the program.  I tried the system restore, but that no longer works.  If I try to download a program, do not automatically work .exe files and my computer asks me what kind of program to run it - nothing done!  I am missing shortcuts, applications, and system files.  I can't go to the Help Center to try a new date of system restore because application helpctr.exe is not found.  Any help?

It is likely that your .exe and other extensions have changed my virus/malware.

There is a simple fix as long as you can open regedit from the start > run box.

As long as you can then go (I hope I'm not breaking rules here - url not mine but very helpful)

    http://www.dougknox.com/XP/file_assoc.htm

Download the .reg and .exe association fixes. Use ' file > import ' option in regedit for each of the downloaded files. This should solve your problems. Best regards, Dave.

  • Need help with copy/move programs and Admin files to other users of the account.

I created 'connect users of accounts' and 'lost' the original Admin, now I know how to access certain programs and others in shift, click with the right button on connection as an administrator. but can't seem to copy or move some things into "shared folder" can someone help me please? Thanks for any help! No real computer smart right now, but im learning :)

    Hello

You can also try to connect to the original administrator account by pressing CTRL + ALT + DELETE (all three keys twice at the same time), you will get the classic login prompt. Type the administrator user name and password. You should be able to connect.

To activate this visible account to the Welcome screen, once logged in click on Start-> Run Type &-> Regedit-> ok.

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE-> SOFTWARE-> Microsoft-> Windows NT-> CurrentVersion-> Winlogon-> SpecialAccounts-> UserList

Select the username administrator and set the value to 1-> of the close Registry Editor and restart your computer.

    I hope this helps.

Every time I did a right click on almost anything that is still there in the menu. How can I get rid of this my any. I have 64 bit Windows Professional.

    Best regards

    John MacGougan

    Hi John,.

If I understand correctly you have a problem with Magic ISO program. You have tried to uninstall the program, but the program is still present on the start menu and on the hard drive.

I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Run the fixit from Microsoft Fixit article and.

Solve problems with programs that cannot be installed or uninstalled:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall/

    Method 2:

Put the computer in a clean boot state, and then try to remove the program and check if the problem persists.

How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: once you have completed troubleshooting, try the procedure described in step 7 to reset the computer to start as usual.

    Hope the information is useful.

My Windows XP system has developed a strange (and annoying) issue that no longer allows me to double click on the shortcuts of programs or EXE files.  When I do, I give myself a menu asks me what program I want to use to open the file, as if I was trying to open a file with an extension that is not associated with.  I set up an Intuit program for the first time. Any ideas?

    Hi Mai2011,

    1. you remember to make changes to the computer, after which the issue started?

I suggest trying the Microsoft Fixit and/or manual steps from the following links and check if it helps:

    Hello

What is the version of the OS you are using? Unfortunately, you will not be able to rename them, duplicate or delete files from Adobe Acrobat DC app. You will need to do the same to a third-party to do the same file manager. However, you don't need internet access or registration to DC to do the same thing.

First check if your drivers are working properly, go to control panel, then Device Manager, then make sure that all of your drivers. Avoid any sign of danger on them if there so try to update or uninstall, or back the driver to resolve the problem.

Then, make sure that your system is clean. using the analysis

    http://www.Malwarebytes.org/

    http://www.systweak.com/antispyware/ and try

    a-squared emergency USB key

    http://www.emsisoft.com/en/software/download/

    http://www.Avira.com/en/download/index.php

    http://www.SurfRight.nl/en/downloads/

then clean your system of unnecessary files using http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner

then if the problem persists then prepare your computer to clean boot by typing msconfig in windows searchbox in startmenu, then press on enter then disable all startup items and any of the services of windows, then restart! see if it makes a difference? If she did then go back and see that caused the problem.

  • Run the Application's Setup program and the editor is unknown

    Hello

I made an installer for my application and filled all the information of the company. But when I run the Setup it comes a pop-up windows and says unknown Publisher.

    How can I change this?

Norbert_B, which is not true - you can sign your executable files and installers with a digital signature and which apply the Build specification. It * is * use of NIs to allow you to sign executable installer with your own certificate.

You'll need to generate a certificate and install it in Windows, you can then use it to sign the request. So that it appears as a provider of "verified" (green), you need to use a trusted certificate (for example verisign etc.) to generate the signed certificate - it usually comes with a charge. You can create a non-checked yourself - certificate google it.

  • Updates to Windows Vista on 14/05/2010. Programs and missing files.

12 updates have been installed on 14/05/2010.  When my computer has been restarted appeared a new office and all the files and programs installed since arriving there out of the box are missing.  That's happened?

It was probably caused by something in one or more updates - I guess you are talking 14/04/2010 (today or early this morning for the night).  I've never heard of this problem before.

Try a system restore to a point in time BEFORE the problem started.  Here is the procedure: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/using-windows-vista-system-restore/.  Don't forget to check the box to show more than 5 days of restore points.  If the first attempt fails, then try an earlier point or two.  NOTE: You will need to re - install any software and updates that you have installed between now and the restore point, but you can use Windows Update for updates.

If this does not work (and it should hopefully), so chances are good that the problem was caused by one or more updates and even the system restore cannot fix the problem.  Even if it works, you may return if you reinstall updates (and some may be critical or at least important).  You need to talk with the experts of the update.

Please repost your question in the Windows Update Forum at: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/threads where the specialists of update will be more than happy to help you with your problem.  Don't forget to include in this post the exact version of Windows you are using (for example, 32-bit Vista Business SP2).  Also include the names and numbers KB 12 concerned updates (I know it's a lot of typing but knowing what updates are involved will help a lot to come up with a diagnosis of the problem and we hope a solution as well).

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!
