At this point, most of the patches for this is made related to Vista and I tried to use or adapt without success. Suggestions?
Windows Update is not your problem, even if you've upgraded to Win7 64-bit. Please repost your question in the support forum: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w7programs/threads

I'm unable to access my LR5.7 of my recent holiday catalog. I am running Windows 7 (64-bit) and recently installed and then uninstalled DxO Optics Pro. The error message says it "cannot open another application already has its opening.» Leave the other copy of Lightroom before trying to launch' the problem is, that I can see a copy of the open LR5 and cannot locate the "." lrcat.lock"the specific catalog I want to open the file. I tried to re-boot my computer, but it did not work.
Thanks Geoff. I was finally able to locate the "." lrcat.lock' of the relevant folder to the catalog I want to open. Once I deleted it, LR5 was able to access my images. Problem solved. Thank you

You will need to do a clean install, there is no place on the way to upgrade Windows 7 32 bit to 64 bit.
Using the disk of 64-bit Windows 7, install Windows 7 Windows Easy Transfer Utility from the DVD (to find it, simply navigate to x:\support\migwiz, "x:" is the name of your hard drive. (In this case, you will see a collection of files, the important"that you must search for and double-click is 'migsetup'.) run it and create a DAMP (Windows Easy Transfer file), if you have an external hard drive, you can access it later when you perform a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit disk so you can stored there.
Once you have done this, just do a clean install of Windows 7 64 bit disc. In Windows 7 64 bit disk, start Windows Easy Transfer, follow the wizard screen, tap on which is stored the WET file (external hard drive) and it will restore your personal files and settings. Reinstall the applications needed.

I suggest that you back up your current installation before installing:

In addition, review instructions how to perform a custom installation see for Windows 7:

I tried to install each 4 updates individually, but still they will not be installed. Can someone help me out here. I also tried dealing with the regisgtry through my Norton application. My computer works fine but I would like to install updates. I've tried now about 2 dozen times
christopher_nievol,
You must download the updates and install them manually. You can go to the Microsoft Download Center and search the KB # and then save the file to your desktop. I would recommend performing a clean boot your PC and then, by running your office updates.Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers

I'm running Windows 8 Preview release and will not install my HP Solution Center

Windows 8 Preview Release, evaluation copy. BUiD 8400
Laptop Acer Aspire 7741ZHP Solution Center will not install.
Error:

Enummissing in the registry.
DesperateDan,
You're the list correctly. Please remember that this document communicates that drivers are coming as windows 8 debut, not what is now available.
Because windows 8 is still in a preview version, you will have a few problems with whatever you try to use the current drivers. Make sense?

Computer on the network where the printer is installed is running Win 2000 Pro.
Sharing is enabled on both, but cannot print. Troubleshooting utility was not to define and solve.
Desperately need help.
Thanks and congratulations to my Savior. This should work for you as well as it did for me:
http://www.SevenForums.com/network-sharing/7527-networking-printer-attached-win-XP-PC-win-7-a.html>It is said to Win7 and WinXP, but I was able to use it for a mixed network of WinXP (x 86), Win7 (x 86 & x 64) and Win8 (x 64). I can't imagine W2K is very different, or not at all. My printer is connected to the WinXP machine. If your PC Win7 a driver, there is a Windows Update available.

Windows 7 (64-bit) and 5.2 of NI-Visa
Hello
I use Windows 7 64-bit and has just installed TS/LV2012 and NI-Visa 5.2
Then I started MAX and that you want to add a new instrument of TCPIP, but it says: "NI-VISA is not installed on this system or NI-VISA does not support the creation of new resources on this type of system.
So I wonder: neither Visa 5.2 is not compatible with Windows 7 64 bit? Because on the site, it is only "WIndows Vista" in the product description.
Thx for the help
Additional information: TS/LV is installed on a WIndow7 that runs in a VirtualBox Image. This can be also a problem?
His works now.
After I've run all Windows updates in the VirtualBox the VISA was also Max.

original title: removal of the profiles in Windows 7 wirelessInformation network are in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\NetworkList\Profiles registry key and then the individual \GUIs.
The right pane contains the details, for example profile_name is the network name (SSID).

HP 1000-1433TU: LAN drivers for HP 1000 - 1433TU running Windows 7 64 bit
I will try to find the correct LAN drivers for a HP 1000-1433TU running Windows 7 64-bit model. I tried a variety of drivers for this model on the HP site, including those for Windows 8 and Windows 8.1, but none of them does not seem to install the drivers, I need to be able to connect directly to a Modem via an Ethernet cable.
This is a new installation of Windows 7, as I prefer it to Windows 8, and I also tried to install the Chipset Drivers (available only for Windows 8, but a necessary component!) before the LAN drivers, but still no luck.
At ran Windows Update to see if that can solve the problem, but again, without success.
Thank you very much in advance for a solution to this.
Hello:
You should be able to use most of the drivers W7 64 bit on your model. Do not use any BIOS or the files of the firmware of this model on your right.
The ethernet driver is this one...
