Runtime error! Program: C:\Windows\System32\EmsServiceHelper.exe

When I turned off my laptop Win 7 Professional, I get the following message:

Runtime error!

Program: C:\Windows\System32\EmsServiceHelper.exe

This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way.

The computer shuts down after clicking OK.  I think that might have been caused by a Windows Update, but not sure.  Any suggestions?

Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

  • Error message: C:\Windows\System32\rstrui.exe "the parameter is incorrect."

I'm so frustrated!  I tried to download Google Earth, and it would not load - so I started to experiment and I really screwed up the system!  Now, I get error messages saying the C drive is not accessible, and access is denied - trying to make a system restore I ge the message above saying the parameter is incorrect.  When I right click on the c drive, it shows that it is TOTALLY FULL - it wasn't a couple of days! I am running Vista 32 bit.  ANY help you can give me will be GREATLY appreciated!  I use the discussion groups in the office all the time and have always been able to get the right answer - I am hoping that will be the case here, although I do understand that this might be a bit more complicated.

Thanks for getting back with me!  But I was so freaked out I got back my computer gurus and it costs $100, but it's fixed now!  Yes! If she was my own computer I probably would have continued to try here, but because it belongs to someone else, I didn't take a chance of really of screwing.  It turns out that the C drive was full (in color), and yet he says there's ZERO bites on it!  I wish I could be with my guru to see what he did... but at least I am in place and works now, so it's a GOOD thing! :))) Thanks much to answer and try to help me! Have a great week!

  • windows\system32\Restore7.exe - runtime error

My son has a laptop HP Compaq Presario CQ70-220OEM, OS Vista Home Basic (32-bit) with service pack 1.
A couple of weeks he lit the machine - it would not start and he got the message "no boot device - insert boot disk and press any key".

Unfortunately, it had not created recovery disks, we had to buy recovery discs of 'Privileged partner' HP - company named Best2Serve B.V. in the Netherlands.

We tried to boot the laptop from the first disc of recovery - program seeks the partition, then load the recovery software, but after clicking the button continue, we get a run-time error: -.

After clicking on OK, we get a second error: -.

No one knows what is the problem and the solution - would be really grateful for the help, thanks.

  • __Program runtime error: C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe

The error message above appears whenever I start the computer. The exact message is as follows

    Runtime error

    Program: C:\Windows\System32\spoolsv.exe

"This application has requested the execution to terminate in an unusual way. For more information, contact the application support team.

Thank you very much for the help. I did the safe mode start which has not corrected the problem. I pass on the clean boot method. In accordance with your instructions, I eliminated the elements until I found the software that has been the cause of the problem. To my astonishment, that it was of "Pure Networks Inc.", that is, I'm sure you know, my Linksys wireless router from Cisco. ONC program has been eliminated so was the mistake. I will now contact Cisco to try to find a repair/patch for the issue.
