RV082 abandons a WAN connection immediately after creation

I have my 2nd WAN connection on the RV082 setup to connect via the static IP address for a T1 connection. When I connect the cable, reports the newspaper...

«WAN connection is in place: 216.130.xxx.xxx...» "and 3 sec later reports"connection to the Wan is down. "

Can I connect a computer directly to the T1 with the same static IP settings, and it connects without problems.

I'm on firmware version v4.0.2.08 - tm.

Any thoughts?

Have you tried changing the WAN2 connection with the WAN 1 connection to see if it will stay connected? You use Load Balance?

Also for the connection that may not be not connected trying to bump on the MTU to perhaps 1492 and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you

Rick Roe

  • WiFi connects immediately after starting

    Hello community,

I started having Wifi issues after installation LittleSnitch. It would be irrelevant, but that's when the problem appeared. Although I have already removed, the Wifi connection does not seem to operate normally.

Before that, it would connect immediately after starting, which means instant access to Chrome or any other browser.

Now, he continues the search for a few seconds, shows an exclamation point on the wifi icon and then finally connects to my network. This process takes more than 30 seconds.

I tried several solutions spare, change my location, manual settings, DHCP or DNS, wifi diagnostics, reset my router, but all without success. I still can't get it to connect at the same time.

    Any ideas?

Please read this message before doing anything.

This procedure is a diagnostic test. It is unlikely to solve your problem. Don't be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.

The test is intended to determine if the problem is caused by a third-party software that loads automatically at startup or logon, by a device, by a police conflict or corruption of system files or some system caches.

Disconnect all devices wired except those required to test and remove all the expansion cards from secondary market, as appropriate. Start in safe mode and log on to the account of the problem.

Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or an earlier version, or if a firmware password is defined, or if the boot volume is a software RAID, you can not do this. Ask for additional instructions.

Safe mode is much slower to boot and run as normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things work at all, including an audio output and a Wi - Fi connection on some models. The next normal boot can also be a bit slow.

The login screen is displayed even if you usually connect automatically. You need your password to log on. If you have forgotten the password, you will have to reset it before you begin.

Test in safe mode. Same problem?

After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and make sure you always have the problem. View the results of the test.

  • LRT224 hickups: abandon the WAN connection?

    Hello

my new LRT224 shows hickups in my regard.

It is connected to a fiber-optic 100Mbps of my ISP connection.

If I try to stream video, it creates every minute or so a second or two to break up the transmission.

Obviously, this breaks my video stream.

The newspaper of the device (see below), says 'WAN connection fell', which seems rather strange and unexpected for me.

If I don't stream video and data binding is almost at rest, these messages of 'WAN fell' intermittent continue.

If I take the LRT outside and connect my PC directly to the line of ISP (Yes, bad practice) I don't have these hickups, and fine video streams (to a few Mbps).

I have updated the firmware to v1.0.1.01 but that has not made a difference.

In fact, I have disabled the 2nd WAN port.

"Dual WAN', the 'activate the Network Service detection' is not marked in the config. By selecting "Connection failover" or "Load balance" shows no difference (no improvement).

No idea why the LRT report "WAN connection is dropped?

I need urgently a solution, but the issue seems beyond my skills...

(In the newspaper, I also see "violation of policy. I don't know why they happen: I have no rules of firewall on the LAN or WAN IP addresses...)

    Thanks for any idea!

    Hello

Thanks for your replies!  I looked in the settings and methods to verify this behavior.

In the end, I decided that the behaviour of "drop the WAN" is not not to blame the LRT224: it seems really to be created by the ISP (the fiber modem): when I plug a small switch between the router and the modem 'abandonment WAN' messages have disappeared.  Now I 'just' convince my ISP to do something...

Any ideas that I can do to make it work again?

I don't know, but maybe it's one of several cases in the latest version of Skype 7.0 is not able properly to interpret data from the BIOS. At least, that was the issue with the cases already reported with this error message:

    Exception code: 0xc0000005

A fix may be available in one of the next versions of Skype. In the meantime, the solution is to uninstall version 7.0 and install the 6.21.0.104 previous version.

  • Discover 5.2 recompose pool linked clone - Wait for user to logoff - refresh immediately after logoff - connected on VM never reconstruct after the closing session or refreshment.

Lets say, we have 20 clones related hen who has refresh immediately after logoff. 10 people are connected to VM 1-10. When plan us a restructuring of the entire pool, one would expect that VM 11-20 would recompose afterwards, as the newspaper of people out of 1-10 of Vm, the VM redial for the new replica. Instead, VM 1-10 are refreshing to a control point and recomposing replica ever again. It seems that when refresh after logging has not been defined, recompose work properly. These two elements are mutually exclusive?

    I guess that's what you're talking about?  http://KB.VMware.com/kb/2006707

If so, Yes, this is a known problem, updating of log will cancel and replace a Redial on newspaper.  I raise this issue until I got was blue and you have heard that it will be corrected in a future version

For now, I do it manually reconstructs in the pool > inventory tab > desktops (see composer details) > right-click on desktop > redial.  Usually, I do on a single desktop computer and let the replica to create and lots of then recomposed.  As recompose and selecting force their users to disconnect will do the trick also.

  • Why my iMac logout immediately after login?

MY iMac 27-inch has recently begun to disconnect me immediately after the connection. After reboot several times and even unplug, it seemed set. But when another user is connected, the computer immediately disconnected them. Then I logged in t Se if my account still worked, but he did the same for me. Just before this show, the computer also got very warm to the touch at the top. Its about 5 years with a lot of memory and hard disk space. I think that it is up-to-date with the latest software too. Appreciate any information or comments on what's gong on. Thank you!

Try to reboot safe mode by pressing the SHIFT key until it reboots completely, and then try to restart normally. If this fails, then reset the PRAM by LANDAU and iMac SMC reset instructions and see if you can sign in successfully.

Please post back with your results.

  • My PC starts immediately after stopping off for a considerable time

My new PC will not start immediately after the power supply is cut off for several hours. However, it starts up after several minutes of trying. Is this a problem related to the power supply or other materials? I assembled just this new pc, and before that, it never happened. Here are the specs of my pc:

GX650 Bronze PSU CoolerMaster; Processor Intel i5 2320; Intel DH67CL mobo. 6750 2 GB DDR3 graphics card Sapphire; 2 x 4 GB Corsair RAM; Kingston 64 GB SSD; WD 1 TB HARD drive; ASUS DVDRW
My PC is connected to the mains through an inverter 600w APC.
Is it possible that it could also because of the connection of power supply of the pc case itself? For the record, the case is an old one that has experienced a recent surge that destroyed my previous mobo and basically almost everything in it.

    1. What is the security update article?
    2. are there any other security software installed on your computer?

If you have any third-party security software installed on your computer, I suggest you to disable the security software and then check if it helps.

Note : If you need to temporarily disable the security software, you should reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks

  • How to create a task that runs once a day, immediately after the opening of session?

Hello, I'm wondering how to create a task using the Task Scheduler that runs once a day, immediately after I have logon.

The reason is I want to use Bing Desktop to change my wallpaper every day. However, I just want to run the first time I start my computer every day, so it will change the wallpaper. By default, it starts whenever I have to logon. It's annoying, because I just want it to start once a day to change the wallpaper. However, using the Task Scheduler, I put only a trigger to start "at the opening of session' or"once a day." If I choose once per day, it runs about 5-10 min after I login, instead of logon immediately after. If I choose the two triggers, then it starts after each session.

Basically, I just want the Task Scheduler to launch the program after the connection the first time I connect to the computer on any given day. How can I do this?

  • VM 2 or more share a WAN connection

    Hi all

Excuse me move if this is the wrong place for this post, etc...  Relatively new to ESXi and I don't know if I want to do is possible.  I have a Server with 4 GB Supermicro intel NIC.  I have one of these NICs connected to my internet provider (WAN) and the other for the HP ProCurve (LAN).  I'm testing different solutions UTM/Firewall (pfSense, Sophos UTM, etc.) and would like to have at least two of them operational at the same time.  The problem is that if it gets turned on first gets a WAN IP and take "control" of the WAN connection.  Whatever it is started after the first primer fine but the WAN interface will not obtain an IP address and be down.

Some thoughts that I had were perhaps to be the gateway to the virtual computer to imitate the same MAC address, I found a few posts that seem to indicate that Comcast modem binds to the MAC for something like this the first connects to.  Has begun research on this so I do not know how 'true' which is, or even if it is if it would help me get to where I want to be.  I hope that he stays the way to achieve this using vnetworking ESXi.

In any case thank you for your time and I really appreciate any help you can provide!

Having your machines virtual theft same mac will be chaos in the networking and a damaged arp table. The problem here is that your internet service provider provide only one device with an IP address. How to solve this problem is to have a router/firewall VM that is the only internet available VM and then have the other virtual machines behind it and use the port forwarding.

Another solution is to use a loadbalancer as Kemp, where you can use expedition based URLS and so on. In short, do NOT spoof mac address, it will just make chaos.

Starting vmware (via systemctl):                           [  OK  ]

    The two files "/ usr/lib/vmware/settings ' and ' / home/martin/vmware/config ' do not exist.
Now the question is, how do I create these files or what files should be removed from the old settings. ?

Why are there vmplayer immediately after startup. ?

    I had what I think it's the same problem on 9, Fedora-17 64-bit workstation.

I used the patch vmmon here:

    http://communities.VMware.com/thread/400616?start=15&TSTART=0

and modifed the patcher created by Artem S. Tashkinov to apply it.

Solved it for me, I hope for you, too.

  • Workflow optimal for display a response immediately after a question is submitted

    Hi everyone-

I'm sure someone has encountered this issue before, but I have not found all the signs for her, so I if I would you find out because I am preparing a Captivate demo right now.

The scenario is as follows - normally when a quiz is created, a user has the opportunity to review the answers to the questions, once the quiz is completed.

However, the customer, I work with prefer responses is displayed immediately after the issue is submitted.

My question is what is the workflow recommended in Captivate to build this type of solution for a quiz that would be a) manageable and b) be easily reproduced...

    I have considered the following:

    (1) the correct answer will appear in the default text box "Incorrect - click anywhere or press on 'y' to continue." However, it seems difficult to manage the boxes will need to be updated all the time.

    (2) connect the question slides to a separate set of slides that show the answers then lead to quizzes. I think it's a little easier to manage because the blades are in a separate 'path' so to speak.

    (3) using the slidelets?

Does anyone have recommendations? Thank you

    Edward

I suggest that you include only the answers to the questions in the legends of feedback on the actual question slide.  This is the easiest to manage place.  These subtitles are displayed immediately when the user submits their response.  Feeback captions can be as large as you want.  I don't understand why you say this option would be 'difficult' since the legends would need to be updated all the time.  Legends would be updated if you have changed the question in a way that the answer was now different.

Remember that Captivate you cannot put interactive objects on a question slide.  This definition includes slidelets.

If you need to include much more detail (or graphic or video) in your comments, you must use another slide, preferably placed immediately after the question slide.  If the user gets the right answer, define the action of success for the question to jump directly to the next question.  If they make a mistake, you can set the action of the failure to access the answer slide and have action OnExit this slide to move to the next question.

But I stress that the only reason in this way to use extra slides is because you need more text in your comments. In most cases this would just complicate things unnecessarily.

  • Suddenly cannot open new tab, immediately after an update of MSWindows7, or after the upgrade to Windows 10 - tired, all kinds of bugs, no luck.

Never had this problem until what MS downloaded and installed updates (for Windows7). So I said I'm going to widows 10 because I thought anyway, so I did this - still cannot open a new tab, or by clicking on the tab '+' or 'ctrl + T.
I spent about an hour going by most of the measures that have been provided by the support of Mozilla tech note and it did not help. I'm not going to create a new FF profile.
I restart my PC, nothing helped. I chose "never" (I forgot the exact wording) on all the Plug Ins and then rebooted and this did not help. I have not loaded Extensions.
I installed FF for Windows 10 just after the installation of Windows 10.
I am a user of whether average PC.
Thanks for any help you can give,
    Steve V.

    Dear cor - el,

Now, I'm happy! Thank you very much.

New tab works now. It is because of me running the first program malware that you listed above, Malwarebytes. I am grateful that you suggested it because I would not have thought that that would be the problem (because the problem occurred immediately after a MS Windows7 update.

Anyway, thanks again for sharing your time and skills.,.
